Mr.Brooks called before arriving. Checked condition of appliance, advised cause of problem before making repair. Answered my questions and concerns.

Called for my fridge , they asked me what's wrong with it , had to plea for a technician to come out and diagnose because I didn't really know only guess, and the said someone would be out the next day and would call or text , took the day off and never heard from them. It's a shame I was trying to stick with a local business.

Update: Nifty Lifty responded, still blaming their customers (my tenant and I, who have a good standing relationship) for paid services not-rendered (seen in their response). Do yourselves a favor and call a quality appliance repair service that’ll fix your fridge the first time rather than having to come out for a second time (at their speedy pace of 1 month between repairs). Between diagnosis on 9/20/20 to first repair on 10/13/20 to second call for follow up repair on 11/03/20, I could’ve purchased a new refrigerator and with the $450 they charged me.
Don’t use! They’ll ignore your emails, calls, voicemails, and texts. Had to report to BBB because of lack of response. You’ll end up having to find a different servicer anyway if you do use them, so save your money and hire someone to fix it correctly the first time. We (the customer) were blamed for being unavailable for a subsequent repair (of the refrigerator they had already said they “fixed” and had me pay for) despite showing one-sided text chains from us to the tech w/o response.
I don’t run a business but I’m almost positive that the two initial things to consider a priority are:
1. Customer service, such as scheduling repairs with customers rather than having them constantly reach out for weeks without response only to pay for a repair that wasn’t fruitful and blaming the customer for being unavailable when the tech was being unresponsive. Maybe rather than blaming the customer for being “unavailable”, consider that the tech was being “unresponsive” like in my case, why would we be “unavailable” when our fridge has been out for months?
2. Customer satisfaction, like if you come out and fix something but it isn’t working properly, then you didn’t fix it. Be genuine and responsible, fix the problem and repair the appliance. It took a month from date of diagnosis of the issue to “repair” the fridge and two months to respond to an inquiry about it not being repaired, only after which I paid a reliable repair service to fix the issue for less than the cost of a diagnosis with Chipset21/Nifty Lifty Appliance Non-Repair.
I’d be glad to answer any inquiries about this review. -
Worst and most frustrating experience working with this guy. Does not respond to emails or calls. Unprofessional and expects you to have replacement parts for appliances under warranty. If you wish to maintain your sanity and decent customer service, go elsewhere!

Spoke to Brooks regarding the repair of my standing mixer. Over the course of 3 weeks, he was supposed to confirm that Nifty could do the repair. He said it could and requested a signed work order and CC which I provided, reluctantly. After waiting for call backs from Brooks, which never happened, I kept following up as to where and when the repair would take place. Finally, on one of the calls, Brooks said he would need to talk to his tech to make sure he could effect the repair. I blew up as this was a run around 3 weeks later. He promised he would call back in an hour with the answer. Needless to say, he did not call back. I went back on line, found Appliance Fix it in Bailey's Crossroads, who immediately affirmed the appliance could be repaired. The company lists 40 different brands that they do work on from sewing machines to lawn mowers to standing mixers. They were great to deal with (if a drive away) and no fuss. This is for small appliances only. Nifty was a huge waste of time and effort. If you can't do it, just say so up front.

The dispatcher diagnosed the issue through the phone. He charged me for the replacements he ordered, non refundable. When the technician made it to my place, he found out that the dispatcher's diagnose was wrong and the replacement I paid for was not needed. They ordered a new part, and I also paid for it, non refundable. This time the technician was able to fix it (this guy did a good job, the problem is the dispatcher) and left my washer working. Last weekend, the washer stopped working. I have been sending text messages for three days, unsuccessfully. STAY AWAY.
