We were having issues with our microwave tripping the breaker so we scheduled an appointment with Wilcox. They were really responsive and Dale was prompt. Dale did a great job explaining what he was doing and what the issues were. He fixed the outlet box and made recommendations for additional repairs we might consider. He was friendly and knowledgeable.

Dale was excellent. He took the time to listen to a long-standing issue I’d been having with my oven, diagnosed the real root cause quickly, and fixed it on the spot. The problem turned out to be a loose neutral wire, which explained why I’d been seeing the same issues across two different ovens. He was professional, thorough, and clear in explaining what he found and why it mattered. He also recommended appropriate safety updates to bring the setup in line with current standards, without pressure or upselling. I really appreciated his expertise and approach and would absolutely recommend him.

I'm a real estate agent in Washington, DC and Wilcox Electric is my "go-to" for any electrical needs. They consistently offer prompt and professional service at reasonable prices. I recently had an excellent experience with one of their electricians, Jake. I accidentally ordered the wrong type of track lighting. Jake took the time to help me understand what parts I needed to order, and once the parts came in, returned the next day to install them. He did a great job with the installation.

We have been using Wilcox Electric since the late 1980s and have never been disappointed in their services. Yesterday, Dale and Axel notified me they were on their way for our appointment. Upon their arrival, in short order, they figured out a tripped GFCI outlet had caused the power outage in that area of the house. Was interesting because the outlet has never been in use.
At all times they both were professional and personable.

David did a great job moving the electric outlet. He was on time, personable and completed the job within the hour. He also cleaned up after. The price was also reasonable. I definitely recommend them. Thank you!

It was my first time trying Wilcox and I thought the electricians were great! Jake was super professional and took the time to explain things, as well as asking questions so that everything was done right. We really appreciated their clean work and how they avoided making new holes in the ceiling. They said it might be unavoidable depending on variable factors, but they were able to problem solve and routed the wires through the holes of the ceiling lights. It was a beautiful job!

The customer service was also great. There was a mixup in communication, but they handled it very well and I'm very happy with the service I received. We're planning to do some minor renovations and will definitely be calling on them again for our electrical work. Thank you so much Wilcox!

We need to replace our bathroom fan, install a GFi outlet in our bathroom, and update some outlets in our bedroom. Dimas Moran and his assistant did amazing work. They were so nice, were kind to my dog, and got it all done without needing any extra repairs to my wall which I had been expecting. Overall, 10/10 service and would highly recommend.

I’ve now used Wilcox twice. I initially got two ceiling fans installed and it took them about 1 hr and 15 mins. Very good timing, shoutout Denmar and his helper! My most recent job was having some lighting and a wall heater installed, shoutout to David Smith! Took him about an hour and a half. Both times were very smooth and priced reasonably. Will continue to use them for my electrical needs.

I was able to consult about the problem over the phone for free and determine the concern was a non-issue. Would definitely contact them for any future consultations or projects!

I would avoid this electrical company. I still years later have a completely mislabeled panel in my garage that I have to trace and relabel now that I will be selling my house. The work was over priced and a younger inexperienced crew was sent to my house who damaged my garage door trying to let themselves in early in the morning and required 4 visits from the inspector to pass inspection. After their work concluded I had to hire another electrician to come in and fix outlets that they had worked on which no longer worked, it turned out that they left wires hanging in the walls unconnected with exposed copper. Could not even bother to wrap the live leads with electrical tape. Just a word of caution if you are expecting detailed proper work for the price.
