Worst crazy high priced estimate I’ve ever seen. They wanted $600 to pressure wash the chimney after doing some other work they said it needed which it doesn’t. Crazy

They called us on Wednesday after we got their info from Angi (formerly Angie's List and HomeAdvisor). They were able to come out this morning (2 days later). Other companies said that they didn't have any appointments available until January. They were on-time and spent about an hour inspecting and cleaning both our wood stove insert and the chimney. They also found 2 pieces of wood in the chimney that had been restricting air flow up the flue. These were removed and they conducted a test......voila, the smoke traveled up the flue with no problems. During their inspection they also found a couple of cracks in the exterior chimney bricks near the top. They provided an estimate for those repairs. All in all, it was a great experience. They were clean and professional. We would use them again. We were charged $189 which they said was a $20 discount off the regular price since we were Angi subscribers.

These guys rebuilt my chimney after a tornado took down a tree which oblitered the chimney. I had such a great experience with them. They completely rebuilt it up from the roofline and lined the exisiting part in the house. Their work was immaculate. They were about half the price of another company I got a quote from. I could not be more happy with the results.

Free and quick estimate, got the best price out of 4 quotes I received from other companies. They relined my 2 chimneys in one day. When I mistakenly. thought that my siding was damaged during they work process, they came back with their entire team to inspect the damage and prove that it was not a result of their work. I appreciate them spending time to come back, and I am sorry about the wrong assumption I had. Great company. I'll be calling them about getting my furnace pipe fixed.

Buyer beware, we paid $159 for a chimney cleaning and inspection only to learn this company only includes vacuuming the fireplace in it's 'cleanings.' They did not inspect nor clean from the roof, they used no instrument to inspect or clean the actual chimney, and they did not empty the ash box. We were not informed these services were excluded from the price for chimney cleaning and inspection until the conclusion of the appointment. Additionally, we found other estimates for the same services for significantly lower costs. In short, we paid $159 for someone to shop vac the fireplace. Worse, they claimed to have climbed onto the roof, but I was with them the entire appointment and know this to be untrue. The business is unethical and more expensive than other companies in the area. We recommend looking elsewhere for chimney service.

American Professional Chimney recently replaced the flue in my 4th floor condo. While we all thought it would be a straight forward replacement, it turned into a much more complicated project due to the poor engineering of the condo building. Manuel and his men effectively and efficiently worked through the structural issues and ultimately were able to perform the full flue replacement. They worked diligently while also keeping me informed of the process, along with anything they needed on my end. Stephan, the operations manager also kept me informed of the overall process and timeline, especially when it went beyond the original scope of the job.

I plan to have American Professional Chimney come to my new home to inspect my chimney and do any necessary work. I highly recommend them for any of your chimney or masonry needs!

Due to recent WSSC regulations, I was required to have a chimney liner installed following replacement of my gas hot water heater. American Professional was most timely in preparing me an estimate for this job and were quick to schedule an installation date. Office personnel, particularly Victor, were quite friendly and very responsive and the installation crew was both efficient and neat. I highly recommend this company.

I have used American Professional Chimney and Masonry on three different occasions and I am very happy with the work and the service. They are my "go to". I had the upper 40% of my chimney rebuilt, I had chimney liners installed, and I recently had a couple of smart solutions done to prevent smoke from going up and out of one flue, and down the one right next to it. I'm confident that this problem has been eliminated in advance of the upcoming fall/winter wood burning season. I will continue to use APCM for maintenance.

They were very knowledgeable and thorough with the inspection. They even checked the exhaust on my HVAC system. They provided a detailed quote on the spot. I've used American Professional Chimney & Masonry several times since I moved into my current home 26 years ago. They have cleaned my chimney, relined it and put up a small screen to keep the animals out. The owner, Dave, really knows his stuff. I once sat in a courtroom where he was called in as an expert witness. His prices have always been reasonable and I trust American Professional and have always felt they were being totally honest with me. I like that Dave can come up creative solutions for jobs that demand that. He is extremely knowledgeable about many different areas of home repair as well. More than once he has given me good advice about other issues around my house. Nobody comes near my chimney but American Professional, ever, period!

I received great customer service from this company. Brian who came out was very professional and assisted me in determining what I needed to secure some deficiencies with my chimney. Julio and Edgar came repaired my chimney crown, filled in in the cracks on the external surface of the chimney and installed a rain cap/animal guard. It looks great. Everyone was friendly and polite, a pleasure to deal with. I will use this company in the future and I recommend them to anyone requiring chimney service in the DMV area.

This is an outstanding company whose owner, Dave, is not only extremely competent and friendly, but also very honest and straightforward. I had an issue after the cleaned my wood stove -- Dave himself came by to rectify the situation, took the time to explain exactly what the issue was and then after fixing the problem he left me some supplies in case it happened again. I was asking his name because I wanted to call the owner and report the outstanding job his tech had done -- and I find out it's the owner himself! So instead I am reporting here that if you need any kind of chimney or fireplace service this is the company -- they are very reasonably priced and do outstanding work that they stand behind. Best contract experience I have ever had. Thank-you Dave!

They did an excellent job. Our home was built in 1939 and the fireplace and chimney had seen better days. All the guys were very nice and cleaned up the area they were working on before leaving every day. They rebuilt the firebox and took pride in how it looked. They installed a new flue and installed a new damper ( ? the thing that closes the flue to the weather when not in use). On the outside, they recapped the top of the chimney and redid the top 5 layers and installed a new rain cap. They regrouted all the areas where the grout was missing or in disrepair. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again if I needed their services in the future.

We had a seemingly complex but simple job of redoing an entire chimney so it could be both gas (existing) and wood burning. The entire team at American Chimney were outstanding. The owner actually came out on a Saturday to make sure everything was working fine (BTW, he has been doing it for overr 40 years. He has seen it all). Chimney work is hard and complex. I couldn't imagine working with anyone else especially when there is zero room for mistakes.

Stefan, our main point of contact and service provider, was extremely responsive and obviously cared about the quality of the service we received. We looked at a number of different options in the DC Metro area and are happy we chose this company. For gas fireplace installation, I would recommend this company without hesitation.

We installed a nice gas grill on the back patio. The whole company here was great to work with throughout the whole process. They walked us through all the steps and were extremely helpful with handling the permits and inspections. Will definitely use them for any future projects.

His analysis of the problems and pricing were accurate and precise. He was patient in explaining everything to me. I found Brian knowledgeable, polite, and a thorough gentleman. We had work done from them several years ago and we noticed water damage in our fireplace. They came out and honored the warranty with no issues or gotchas. They made it right and fixed all the issues including repairing the water damaged fireplace insert. Stefan was a pleasure to work with and explained everything. I would recommend American Professional Chimney without reservation for chimney or gas fireplace work.

I've been using American Professional Chimney & Masonry for over 15 years to keep my wood burning chimney in good working order. I've always been pleased with their services. The team is professional and very knowledgeable. If work is needed they explain in detail before any work is performed. They are on time, clean up afterwards and always pleasant. Two main services:

1.We used Stefan and APCM a few months ago for an inspection to remove a gas-log insert from a masonry fireplace and convert it back to woodburning. Stefan did an inspection, and we went ahead to have them remove the gas insert and they relined the chimney. Stefan was responsive, his office was responsive, all very professional. He laid out the options at the time and we moved forward. We have used the chimney about a dozen times since, so far so good. The pricing seemed to be in line with other estimates, probably on the lower end. We had about 3-4 rain days when they were going to do the work and they rescheduled us quickly.

2. We also have a gas heat-n-glow in another masonry fireplace. Stefan serviced and inspected this as well.

Overall very happy, good work. We will continue to be using Stefan and his team for our needs moving forward. Will update if needed.
