In June of this year, we decided to have an EV charging station installed in our home. After searching online for local electricians, I found TriStar Electric's website. Based on the reviews, I decided to reach out and was connected with Rich, who explained the process. He mentioned that someone would come to assess our needs and suggest the best charger for us, as well as the best location for our charging station. This sounded promising! After getting a quote, I decided to move forward.

Unfortunately, there was little communication from the electricians when they arrived, and when we asked questions, they directed us to call the owner. They brought a Generac charger with them and installed the charger on the charging station, but quickly removed it, stating the charger was broken. We should call the owner for an explanation.

When we called TriStar to discuss the situation, they apologized and acknowledged that their standard installation process was not followed.

A couple of weeks ago, I contacted TriStar again with questions about the installation, including leaving a voicemail for Justin. We are still awaiting a response.

We have been very pleased with the service and maintenance of our generator. Prompt service with excellent communication from their technicians. After hours support has been a lifesaver on a few occasions.

I carefully reviewed electricians in or near Howard County.
I found three I liked. Tri-Star was on my list. I decided to give them a chance. They didn’t disappoint. They checked all the boxes.

Fast Service - I called, and they showed up 3 days later.
Prompt Service- they arrived when they said they would.
Reasonable Price - I found their prices to be fair and competitive.
Good Work - they installed new fixtures and fixed broken items.

A two man team worked on my home – all day, lots to do.
I had a master electrician and his apprentice work on my home.
Arnold is the master electrician. I found him to be friendly, knowledgeable, skilled and trustworthy. A good guy.
Lastly, I want to recognize Dustin, their service manager. He went the extra mile again and again. They're lucky to have him on their team.

Arnold and Joey showed up on time and did a great job. They were efficient and professional. I would definitely work with them again.

The whole team at Tristar was EXCEPTIONAL...from Debbie getting the recess lighs done in my office and Yasser getting my light hung up in the living area. They are very professional and give the best feedback on what will look better. They just don't do the work- they take pride on HOW it's done and the attention to details is Premium service‼️ I will continue to do business with Tristar and I DEFINITELY recommend them

I spent months calling electricians about re-wiring my 1800s house to add a generator. Most of them ghosted me. Some said on the phone that it could not be done. At TriStar they are authorized representatives of Generac generators. They were willing to look at my house and told me they could do it. Their estimate was not cheap but was reasonable for this type of work. Even more important, they stuck to the estimate and did not raise prices during the job. They are very good about sending alerts for appointments and arrival times. When they ran into complications, they put more people on the job so they could stay on schedule. I am definitely using them again for future electric projects.

Cannot give enough positive stars for the work this team does. Professional, good solid work. Had a complete service upgrade and from emergency start to finish and follow up it has been a brilliantly executed, stress free and successful job. Excellent communications with staff.

TriStar electricians are always professional, they give clear explanations of options and the reasons for any choices that need to be made. They also provide itemized estimates prior to the appointment. I’ve used them for the last 10 years and I do not hesitate to recommend them!

Every interaction that I have had with this company has been amazing! A couple of years ago I reached to have some ceiling fans installed. Although I ended up going with another company, I remembered how pleasant and informative the first call was. Since then I've had this company install three pendant lights and a dimmer. All of my questions (and there were many) were answered with patience and the work was performed with care. I highly recommend TriStar Electric!

Moved into a new home that need upgrade to electrical work. The 2 man team did a great job and made sure the system was working and cleaned near the electrical box.

this project was an upgrade to older LED lamps that kept burning out prematurely. Tristar did a neat quality job. The technician’s name to use is Yasser Pineda. Very nice clean cut young man. Polite, professional and skilled electrician. His very efficient associate was Joey Johnson. The final product is a big improvement in overall appearance and intensity. The lamps can be adjusted to multiple temperatures. We selected 5000k as originally desired 7 yrs ago. The old lamps were about 3400K. Overall big improvement. Highly recommend this company for electrical repairs and installations.

The quote process was quick and no one tried to sell me electrical services I didn’t ask for (like upgrades) and Tri-Star came in well below other vendors. Debbie came to do the work and was right on time, professional, efficient, and the work looks beautiful.

The two Techs that came to my house was awesome and kept their area clean and even had their shoes covered so they didn't trail dirt from outside.

Dustin and the team were great to work with on my EV installation. They were communicative and got the job done in a timely manner. The breaker tripped and I informed the team. Dustin worked with me on my schedule and got the job done. Was very satisfied with attitude and willingness to get it done quickly. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Debbie Metz and assistants have done several electrical jobs at my house, including completely rewiring and installing lights & a heater when my kitchen was remodeled, installing a ceiling fan/light on my patio, installing several new light fixtures.

Not only did they do a superb job, but Debbie had recommendations which I adopted (like putting in a pendant light in the kitchen where there never had been one before), and she also came up with an alternative to a ceiling medallion because I had forgotten to get one - and it looks perfect.

There were a few things we really wanted when we moved into our new home and lighting upgrades was one of them. I know nothing about electrical work but Dustin was helpful in explaining the effort it would take to carry out my vision within my budget. He and his team really modernized and brightened our home. In one day, they were able to install three ceiling fans in rooms where no overhead lighting existed, replace our outdated kitchen fixtures, replace “boob” lights with clean recessed lights, and added six recessed lights to our basement that previously only had one overhead bulb. We have a little touch up painting to do, which we expected, and are thrilled with the work they performed. Will definitely go back to Tri-Star with any future electrical needs.
