I found Femar Fence while walking through our neighborhood. Ernesto was very responsive and quickly came out to review our project and provide a quote. Work was also scheduled very quickly. Crew was efficient, organized, and clean. Overall great experience and I would highly recommend Femar Fence!

We are so happy with the work from Ernesto and his team at Femar Fence! Ernesto was able to give us an estimate right away for our fencing project and of the (many) quotes we received, he was one of the most reasonable. I was impressed with his level of knowledge, the suggestions he gave, and his attentiveness to our project when he did the walk-through with us for our estimate, and it is ultimately why I chose Femar. And he certainly did not disappoint! The high level of quality and craftsmanship is evident. We had several areas where roots, trees, etc. were in the fence line and the team was able to carefully work around/with these areas to make the fence fit beautifully. The team was timely and professional, and they were able to remove an old chain link fence and install nearly 300 ft of fencing (a combination of privacy fencing, paddock, and split rail) in only a day and a half! We are so pleased with how our fence turned out and I cannot recommend Femar Fence enough!!

I was very happy with this experience! I originally contacted Long Fence who took a few weeks to even come give me an estimate. Then the estimate they gave I thought was really high, and they couldn’t even do it for 4-6 weeks. So then I found Femar Fence and he came and gave me the estimate next day and installed the fence really quickly for a much better price than Long Fence could offer. The fence looks great! I said I wanted the most simple, inexpensive 6 ft fence just to block off the back of my yard because it runs up next to a business. The crew came early and got the 50ft fence up in about an hour and a half, which was great! There were 3 workers, including the owner, and they were very nice! Overall really great experience.

We hired Femar Fence LLC to install a 6 ft. cedar fence along the sides and rear of our property. Ernesto and his crew did a fantastic job. They were easy to work with, efficient, and a great value. I've seen quite a few sad looking fences around DC, so if you're looking for someone to do the job right, look no further.

After receiving quotes from several fencing companies, I decided to go with Femar Fence as their quote was very competitive and I felt very comfortable with the communication I had with Ydalia. The crew, led by Louis arrived as scheduled and started the work after speaking with me. In addition to the boundary fencing, I elected to get "decorative fencing" installed around the carport by Femar, for which, I got the material on my own. Ydalia helped me to get in touch with one of their suppliers where I bought the power-coated aluminum posts for the decorative fencing as Home Depot nor Lowe's carry thicker gauge posts I wanted. The Crew, led by Louis is very understanding and they make sure that that my fencing needs are met to the fullest! Femar Fence did a fantastic job with my fencing project and I am a happy customer and I would recommend them for anyone looking for a fencing project at a very competitive price!

Femar fence did an amazing job. They were fast and very efficient, removing our old fence and installing 180 Lf of new fence in 10 hours. Fence looks amazing! Communication from Ydalia and her team before and after was wonderful and I’m so happy with everything.

After searching and getting quotes from different fencing companies, we decided to go with femar fence. We were looking into closing off our yard from the front due to our dogs always running out. Ernesto provided great service and gave us an amazing price. We went with cedar wood which was a reasonable price difference compared to other companies. Amazing Experience with Femar Fence LLC!

I recently had Femar Fence LLC install my white vinyl privacy fence, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! Ms. Ydalia was incredibly patient and helpful throughout the entire process, answering all my questions and making sure everything went smoothly. Her team was punctual, professional, and very clean — they arrived right on time at 7:30 a.m. and were completely finished by 11:11 a.m.!

The fence looks perfect, and the whole experience was stress-free from start to finish. I highly recommend Femar Fence LLC to anyone looking for quality work and excellent customer service!

My mom and I needed to install a new fence on our property after our last one collapsed following a tree removal. We have a dog and the open space posed a major safety risk. We reached out to several companies for estimates but none of them compared to Femar Fence. Our experience with Femar was excellent from beginning to end. Even before we had any work done, my family and I were so impressed with the way Ms. Ydalia and the office staff worked with us to plan the project and give us the best price. The estimate we received from Femar was much better than any of the other fencing companies we reached out to, including Long Fence. The quality of the work itself was amazing too. My mom watched as the crew crafted our new privacy fence post by post and carved the gate. It was beautiful craftmanship and we could tell that the crew takes great pride in their work. I truly believe that it was better than anything the bigger, more well known fence companies could have done. I still cannot believe how much those other companies wanted to charge us. Speaking of payment, the office staff at Femar were very flexible and they made the process completely stress free.

I also cannot forget to mention how kind and courteous Mr. Ernesto Ferreras was. My mom and I both greatly enjoyed working with him. He gave a thorough inspection of our yard and gave great suggestions as well. There is a lot of work my mom and I need to have done on our property, and Mr. Ferreras was kind enough to offer his services with some of our planned future projects. When the crew arrived to build our new fence, they hauled junk away from our yard as well. It was a godsend, as we had been stressing over finding someone to help us clear out our yard. I highly recommend Femar Fence. Their quality of service is amazing and the work truly speaks for itself. We will absolutely call on them again.

Update: We hired Mr. Ferreras and crew again in October to remodel our front porch and they did not disappoint. They completed the entire project in a single day and the work they did was truly outstanding. Our new porch looks great and we are so proud of it. Thank you again, Femar Fence, for being amazing!

We engaged Femar Fence to put up an 8 foot tall security fence 80 feet long.
It was the Barrett Outdoor Living vinyl fence. We waited months for the installation due to it being a special order. We paid for a reinforced fence.
At first I was pleased, wrote a good review, and tipped generously.

About 9 months later:
A car accident from an adjacent road damaged the top panel of the fence on the end of the fence, and the end post. The original estimate from Femar to fix was nearly 2k to replace 4 boards and 1 post. The original cost of the fence was about $6500. Long Fence estimated the repair at about $1200. Femar agreed to meet the lower price. When the post was damaged we learned that the posts were not reinforced per the contract. They reinforced them for free at the time of the repair. Then, within a month we found another hole in the fence which was likely missed from the accident, and the post caps were popping off.

The boards seem extremely cheap. I was shocked. It was like cheap, brittle plastic. The whole fence is discolored in just 9 months. I have vinyl siding on my home for 35 years which is not so discolored.

I am not sure what we got. I try to buy quality always, paying for available upgrades. This fence is not maintainable. I was told by another contractor that there are different grades of this fence. This, to me, appears to be the lowest grade. In 40 years of homeownership, I have never seen anything so flimsy. This is not Femar's fault necessarily, except that I was not advised that there were different grades. I was clear that I needed a sturdy fence.

Parts for the fence must be ordered through a licensed contractor, so even though you can replace a board quickly with a special tool, good luck in getting the boards for the 8 foot fence. I called Femar for the part number

The two stars are for an estimate to fix the fence 100s more than other contractors, the quality of the fence, the lack of replying to my request for part numbers to buy the correct panel until I changed my review, and the failure to honor the one year labor warranty to fix the post caps. There was no effort to fix them though I waited 6 weeks. Leaving the caps off the post with lead to mold.

And finally, instead of an apology for not returning calls and texts, I got a text admonishing me for changing my review...asking me if I "thought it was wise" to lower my review based on fence caps. It wasn't just the caps.

I hope this is useful in making your decision. They obviously have great reviews. It might just be the quality of the fence itself. But ghosting a customer for 6 weeks is not OK. It should not be a full time job to get a warranty honored after waiting 6 weeks.

Ernesto provided fair pricing and was easy to schedule a time for installation. Installation day they arrived early and was ready to work. It took them no time breakdowns and install my new fence. His team took all the trash that same day! I’d recommend Femar Fence for sure.

Kenneth at MP Tree came out to my property for a huge debris cleanup job and did an incredibly detailed estimate to help me with my insurance claim. Highly professional service, very friendly and knowledgeable. Will be referring them to anyone who needs tree work.

I'd give them a zero but google won't let me. They thought it is acceptable to operate heavy equipment in a residential neighborhood on a Sunday morning before 8AM on 10/5/25. Now I know what company not to hire. Inconsiderate jerks.
