Joel Group 50 serviced my property on Oct 2, 2025. Trimming 5 Cypress Trees, 4 Pine trees a Dogwood and a very large Pear Tree. The crew arrive a half hour early and was ready to work. Overall they did a great job cutting, trimming and shaping. They made recommendations in light of our wishes and we were left satisfied.
An addendum to my post: the crew damaged one of the poles of my deck and did not tell me. When I discovered before they left they had an office personnel call me and offer me $100 discount on my bill as repayment for repairs, which I agreed. That is why they could not earn 5 stars. Subsequently the General Manager called and said they would fix the damage pole on the deck anyway along with the discount. However, that promise never materialized! Thus the 4 star is really a 3 star until they keep their word.

I had a great customer experience with Maryland Tree Experts! I had been delaying the removal of overarching trees and large limbs over my roof for years and I finally decided to take action. I received a flyer from Maryland Tree Experts in my mailbox and called that same day. It was a top notch experience at every touch point, starting with Janet, who was cheery and helpful with setting up an in-person estimate. The Sales Rep, Jose (JQ) was knowledgeable and professional and took his time, never rushed me to a close. Before he even arrived, he gave me a courtesy call with his ETA. I appreciated his patience throughout our appointment. It never felt high pressure. It felt collaborative. He listened. I like how he explained the pricing structure, it is straightforward and fair and made for an easy decision! What Jose said his team would deliver-they delivered on, the very next day! They were on time and went right to work….it was amazing to watch. The crew took great care to make sure nothing damaged my home or surrounding spaces…and cleaned up afterwards including blowing my leaves. A special shout out to Freddie who was on the ground with the crew. He was respectful and easy to work with when I had questions or requests. He would check in with me while the work was ongoing to make sure I was satisfied. VERIFY THEY HAVE INSURANCE. We received a mailer for their specials in our mailbox. They were easy to reach on the phone and the estimator came out rather quickly. We received our estimate and were prepared to accept it. But we needed proof of GL and WC insurance. Well this never happened. They wanted to book the visit and perform the work ASAP but didn't have the insurance just yet. They stated that was because they switched insurance companies and didn't have everything set up, but don't worry we will send it over. After asking for about a week, we finally received proof of General Liability Insurance but no proof of Workers Comp. There is no way a company will perform work on our property without proof of General Liability and Workers Comp insurance. They are operating illegally. I am perplexed how a Tree company cannot or does not have insurance. During this period we could tell something was amiss. We were ghosted on the phone, by text, and emails. We had over $3000 worth of work to be done and they couldn't offer proof of insurance. Please use caution if working with this company. Our negative review seems to be similar to others posted herein. It seems they are either great or horrible. In fairness maybe they are great, they just are not insured. But nothing on their brochure states "insured" so maybe they just wing it and hope nobody notices.

A great team of experts, highly professional, excellent work and clean up immaculate. Fast workers and prompt estimate and scheduling were also greatly appreciated. Price was lower than 2 other estimates. They exceeded expectations in every way.

We had an excellent experience with Brandon and his team at MD experts. They trimmed our trees and removed a stump, and the whole process was smooth, professional, and efficient. The crew arrived right on time, worked carefully around our property, and cleaned up everything beautifully when they were done. Our trees look so much healthier and well-shaped now. Great communication, fair pricing, and top-notch workmanship — highly recommend them for any tree trimming or removal needs!

They did a good job, more or less exactly what they promised. Their pricing is competitive. However, I don't think I would have them back for the simple reason that their technicians do not wear helmets. Perhaps they know something I don't, but I have never seen a tree service that doesn't wear helmets. Seems like the most basic of safety measure when you are dropping branches from a tall tree.

On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, the crew from Maryland Tree experts arrived on time to remove four trees and trim one very tall tree. They were fast, cleaned up the work areas, and did an outstanding job. I'd like to commend Rod who was my estimator. He not only offered great pricing, he arranged the work quickly, and followed up once the work was completed. As the manager of a private property for clients with exacting standards, I can recommend Maryland Tree Experts and will be calling them again,.

Great experience. I had a quote from another company and Maryland Tree Experts beat that quote. I went with the daily rate and they honored a coupon that was on a flyer in the mailbox. I think it was 25% or something. Anyway, they took down a storm damaged tree and two other HUGE trees that were dead and shedding limbs like crazy. They were professional and expedient. It took them like 4 hrs and they were complete. Cleaned up the area too. By the way, the stump had metal in it so they couldn't take it to the ground.

I reached out to Maryland Tree Experts as a result of a Money Mailer coupon. I have never seen a company offer an all-we-can-cut half and full-day rate. I made an appointment for someone to come to provide a no obligation, free estimate. Kevin came to my home at the appointed time and we identified six trees on my property that could be removed in a half day. The crew, Crew #7, led by Daniel, arrived at my house when they were scheduled to be here to do the work. A crew of seven, a skid loader, a chipper, a large enclosed truck to receive the chips, and a truck with a large roll off dumpster for the pieces of the trunks too large to go into the chipper were on location. This crew was like a well-oiled machine. Except for a lunch break, they were all non-stop working. No one was smoking. No one was checking or playing on their cell phones. I've dealt with other tree companies in the past. Heck, I called a local company to give me an estimate for this job and they have yet to return my call. I guess they're already making all the money they need. The last company I used to take down a tree and trim several others didn't show up on two occasions when the work was scheduled to be done, and on the third scheduled day, they showed up three hours late and never called to say they were going to be late. To top it off, the crew chief, who was related to the owner of that company, came back from his lunch break stoned. I will definitely have Maryland Tree Experts back to take down another group of trees when finances permit. If you need tree service performed on your property, without an ounce of hesitation I encourage and recommend you to reach out the Maryland Tree Experts.

This story begins with a mail flyer for tree service and a new need for a tree service company. I called Maryland Tree Service and spoke with Eduardo Escobar who was professional, personable and knowledgeable. He came to my house and provided an amazing estimate for trimming 3 holly trees, 4 large Crape Myrtle’s, an ornamental Japanese Bloodgood tree, 6 large river birch trees and a medium large Autumn Blaze. Words cannot express how happy I am with this service and the team that performed the job. From beginning to clean up was top notch, professional, demonstrating excellence in customer care and service. I rate them 5 stars because they deserved the top rating. I highly recommend their service as they beat hands down, the other top tree service competitors in price, workmanship and accountability. I will use them again… Thank you again Eduardo!!👍

I highly recommend Maryland Tree Experts. Jose’s crew was outstanding. My husband and I had received another quote from a different company that was a couple thousand dollars cheaper, but after comparing the reviews, we chose Maryland Tree Experts—sometimes you really do get what you pay for.

We were quoted for whatever could be completed in an eight-hour day, and these guys worked nonstop. They were true professionals and clearly experts at what they do. They gave us our money’s worth and then some.

Overall, we couldn’t be happier with the results.

Outstanding Service! Called at 8am, Estimator Aaron was at the house by 11:30, agreed upon scope of work and price, Wilmer & crew arrived at 2:00, 30 ft tree cut down and gone by 3:45. Next day, 6 stumps ground in 45 mins. Again, Outstanding Service and professionalism! Would highly recommend! Will use again!

Hugo came out fast and gave us a great estimate - we got some others that weren’t as good. A couple days later Jose & crew did an amazing job removing limbs from a big tree and a lot of brush around the backyard.

We talked with Jordan yesterday and today the team came to take care of the damage to our trees. This last snow storm made our yard look like pick up sticks. We are happy with the work the team completed. I would recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

Outstanding standing work done by Correas and Crew #18 of Maryland Tree Experts! For a very reasonable price, the crew spent a full 12 hour day (dawn to dusk) removing 9 very large (40+) oaks an maples. The work was done expertly and attentively, and the crew showed a high degree of skill in removing trees that required substantial ropework due to being near structures. The overall job was outstanding, with 9 very large trees removed down to the stumps, and all of the remaining debris hauled away. Absolutely 100% will be calling on them again in the future for additional work.

I don’t usually do reviews, but Jonathan from MTE and crew 15 from estimate and job day where amazing. They trimmed/climbed/bucket lifted on over 6 locations in my property. Even removed a holy tree completely that was huge! Less then 2 feet my house,With precision. I have two houses a pool house and a screen porch and they never once made me question my decision. They are top notch, if you’re looking for affordable tree services you have to add them to your first call list. I will have them back for sure, when and if i ever need services again.

I recently had extensive tree cutting & trimming done on my almost 3 acres of very large, old trees by Maryland Tree Experts. Every time I need to mow grass, I spend a half day or more picking up limbs & branches on the ground. I met with Jonathan from MTE & explained what I wanted done. The next day he sent Freddy with crew #8 to work a full day. There was still much I wanted done so they came out for a second full day. In all, they cut down 14 large trees & trimmed or elevated another 20+ trees. The crew did a great job getting done what I wanted done. Yes, there is some debris left behind & bobcat marks here & there, but once I rake, it will be done. No more spending a day cleaning up branches before I can mow. No more clogged rain gutters or possibly tree limbs falling on my house. I would recommend this company to anyone needing tree work done. Thank you Jonathan & Freddy's crew #8.

Group #4 of Maryland Tree Experts did a fantastic job today removing tree on my lot! Great price, great work, great service!!! Nobody does it better!!!

This company is fantastic. I responded to a flyer they put in my mailbox to remove a large single tree from our side lawn, which needed to happen quickly to excavate our sewer below. Fernando and the staff were super responsive, gracious, and efficient. They provided an excellent price, and the large team that came was incredibly professional and efficient, swiftly bringing down the tree in 40 minutes! I highly recommend them.
