Wee received a recommendation for Castro from our next door neighbors. This was our first time using them. Darwin came to our house to fix our outside lamp post, which had also tripped our outside outlets. He was very clear and thorough with explaining the steps, the prices of everything along the way, and asking for permission to disassemble things while he worked. We will definitely be having him come back to do the follow up work once we purchase a new lamp post!

Castro Electric has been our company of choice when it comes to all things electrical at our home. From new installations with our deck lighting to troubleshooting interior electrical issues, they have always been top-notch, in responsiveness, professionalism, and ultimately the end product and results.

Just today, Andrew came in less than five hours and restored power to a significant portion of our kitchen, which was really critical in our day-to-day living. Again, very professional, helpful in explaining the issue, and perfect resolution of the problem. Highly highly recommend.

Jorge, Zane, and Reed did a fantastic job! They were all very professional, and their work met my expectations. I did pay significantly more than I was expecting for a 240v outlet to be installed in the garage 10 feet away from the circuit breaker panel; my rating here reflects the quality of the work l and not necessarily the price value. However, I felt it was worth it to pay a little more and have the work done correctly on time and the first time, including the proper permits and inspections with local government authorities.

Imagine a business where you walk in and all the products on the shelves have no price. You ask the cashier how much something costs and they say you have to pay $5 to know the price. Would you shop at that store? No, of course not.

Well this company does exactly that. They refuse to give you a cost estimate, no matter how basic the job or how detailed you describe the problem, until you pay them $70 to come out to your house.

For the love of all that is good, please please do NOT normalize this greedy practice by giving this company or any company that does this your business. There are many honest services out there that offer free cost estimates and don't try to manipulate you to buy their products. They'll say the fee is to compensate for the time that the technicians spend coming out, but that's just being dishonest. That $70 sure as hell ain't going to the worker. If they're being dishonest before you even hire them, think about what else they'd be dishonest about.

Please stay away. I don't want to live in a world where I have to pay money to know how much something costs.

I needed a 240V-15amp line installed in my garage. I already had a 120V 20amp (12-gauge) line that could be converted to 240V-15amp. I reached out to four highly-rated electricians (all with 5-star reviews on Google), and, without exception, each of them provided me with outrageous quotes in the thousands. Then, I called Castro, who gave me a fair and reasonable quote that I gladly accepted. He came the very next day and completed the job in under 20 minutes. I’ll definitely be saving his contact information—he’s now one of my go-to, trustworthy contractors.

Castro has worked with me on numerous jobs and have always had excellent communication and work quality. They have also been flexible with scheduling and helping me meet deadlines. I am leaving this review because Jeffrey recently assisted me in solving what seemed like an intractible problem the day of an inspection and made sure my homeowner could move in later that day. I highly recommend them and appreciate Jeffrey going above and beyond to ensure we were both providing a timely, quality product. Thanks guys.

After requesting estimates from multiple companies for an EV charger installation, my husband and I found that Castro Electrical Services made the best offer (including permit work and trenching). They weren't the cheapest option, but we found that they were very communicative, happy to answer questions, and willing to provide estimates for multiple options. The day of the installation, Darwin and Juan were prompt, thorough, and did a great job of cleaning up the interior workspaces that required cutting into drywall and brick. We're happy with the work that Darwin and Juan performed and we'll definitely consider Castro Electrical Services for other projects. Highly recommend!
