No attention to detail and definitely do not go above and beyond the bare minimum. They won’t sweep under the edge of the rug in our dining room (where obviously lots of crumbs accumulate). They don’t get finger prints off the refrigerator. They don’t clean baseboards. They don’t get the cobwebs in the corner behind the couch. They don’t sweep under the coffee table or couch (both of which are raised off the floor enough for a swiffer to fit under). When you ask them to do any of these things, they give you attitude and say it’s not their job or they have to check with a manager. Truly shocking how little they do.

The cleaners worked very hard and very fast. They were respectful of the owner and the property. They did an excellent job.

I always look forward to the day my team of two very professional and pleasant Merry Maids are coming. My home always looks so bright, smells so fresh, and looks so clean after their visit.

I have had my first cleaning with Merry Maids which they required be an expensive “deep cleaning” despite my apartment having been professionally cleaned. The only way to receive a discount was to commit to at least 8 cleanings. Even then I paid an up-charge of 63%. Because my apartment did not need any extra cleaning, the only additional work done was to clean the baseboards and door frames. Apparently, they do not normally clean those during the regular service which was part of the reason I hired a cleaning service in the first place. Upon speaking with them afterwards, they agreed to dust there during my regular service. They did a reasonable job otherwise, although nothing special. When they left, I still had to do the dish and frying pan that were in the sink and despite my leaving stainless steel cleaner next to my electric kettle and pointing it out to them, they did not clean that or the stainless around the microwave etc. That might have been acceptable for a regular cleaning, but I ended up paying for a very shallow deep clean. The workers were very pleasant and communication was easy. I appreciate and am willing to pay extra for a company that pays their employees well and offers benefits which Merry Maids does and the job was acceptable, but still not worth the price as compared to other services.

The girls did a good job but they didn’t wipe down the walls. It’s ok. I didn’t realize that would cost extra. I’ll remember for next time. Thank you!!

The ladies are almost always on time and arrive prepared. That being said, the work is done super quick, which unfortunately, reflects in their quality of the cleaning.

The ladies do exactly what is expected to them - which is limited to only the work spelled out on the customer profile - no more, no less. Based on experience, unless you spell out your needs, they will not do it. Needs to be in writing from initial consultation, and even if you reach out to mgmt. about including what you want them to do EXACTLY, if it is not updated on your cleaning profile, they will not do it. the most minor requests are more or less ignored - or if you push, they will do the bare minimum to get it done.

There is a bare-minimum attitude with larger cleaning companies that just focus on employing more and more hands, while forgetting the hard-working faces that they belong to. It is hard to expect great work and dedication when you are treated like a number, and not a hard-working individual with a story. Love the Ladies, just beginning to get tired of coming in the next day to barely notice a difference - the quality of cleaning efforts and services are getting harder and harder to justify when paying the bi-monthly invoices...

The cleaning staff women are friendly, courteous and not only do they do excellent work, but they give attention to every detail.
I also appreciate the opportunity to have extra cleanings when needed by simply calling the office and you will be graciously accommodated!

I have been using them for several years and are very pleased. When my wife passed it was comforting to know that the house would be taken care of.

Have used Merry Maids for about 15 years, very happy with service, feel comfortable with the crew who have come, they are sweet and respectful. Well trained, good efficient system. When my kids were young I had ladies I employed directly to clean every week (even twice a week at times). When those ladies finally moved away or took other employment, I started using cleaning services and went to once a month cleanings since my kids were older & could help more. Now, kids have moved out and we're down to just a few times a year. We do lots of in-between cleaning ourselves, our house is always in ok shape, never too dirty or cluttered. Results for a very messy or dirty house will be different, but we are so happy with the results after Merry Maids leave, to have our whole house well cleaned. Our regular ladies have been Lorena and Reyna, assisted by other crew members. There are probably cheaper services, but I have not wanted to deal with worrying about security or needing to supervise a new crew. We do tip them in addition, I appreciate their reliability.

Professional, helpful and skilled team, from the customer service to the on-site team- they really went the extra yard!

They arrived early and worked very hard cleaning a 100 year-old man’s house. Let’s just say this house has not been professionally cleaned - ever! They made it sparkle for his big birthday party. Thank you for taking the pressure off of me and my sister!

A friend of mine (who uses Merry Maids) entered me in a contest to win a free housecleaning from Merry Maids that they were giving away to healthcare providers taking care of COVID19 patients. I was so lucky that I won! I've never had my house professionally cleaned before. It was so wonderful, and just the boost I needed in this difficult time. The 2 women who came were professional, friendly, and did such a great job! (I think their names were Cecilia and Hilma, but I unfortunately misplaced the card with their names on it so I hope that is correct!). I felt like it was very safe as they wore their masks and gloves, and I also made it safe for them to be here. My house was sparkling clean after they left. THANK YOU for your kindness and generosity Merry Maids! You made my day by doing this! Though I can't have you come on a regular basis, I will definitely have you come for an occasional cleaning sometime again!

Whatever smell killer used in my husband's bathroom totally killed the smoke stink. Really, for a few days, it smelled almost good in there! Both workers were conscientious, diligent, and efficient. It cost way more than I had hoped, but it was worth it for a one time cleaning and the fact that both my husband and I were out of commission for a few days. It was a great help to both of us, to me especially. And I thank them from the bottom of my heart :-)

We renovated a rental property to sell and wanted to have the property professionally cleaned so that it would show in the best possible light. We contacted Merry Maids of Silver Spring to inquire of their capabilities to provide the spotless interior we needed to showcase our property. They walked me through their process, experience, personnel qualifications and costs. Not cheap, but neither was our asking price. Their personnel were on time, and the work exceeded my expectations. So glad we chose MMSS.

Just a lovely experience. The ladies were so nice and did a great job! I felt like I was walking into a hotel level cleaning every time the came. They were very reliable and I felt like I could trust them. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs some help at home and needs reliability and trust.

Merry Maids has been providing cleaning services in our home for several years..We continue to use this service because of the high quality of cleaning and the company's commitment to pleasing the customer. They always respond to my requests and when I have, very rarely, had a complaint, they were quick to resolve the issue.

We love 💕 our ladies. We had them do a special fridge cleaning and it made such a nice difference! With all of us in the house having three meals plus snacks, going into the fridge so often while we are in quarantine, it was crazy how much we needed the fridge cleaned. We highly recommend it! You just don’t even know until you have it done!

We are selling our house. We had Merry Maids come in and mainly do three full bath rooms and our kitchen. Our realtor gave them access and then went back to check on everything. He said they "really did a good job". He said that 3 times actually in a short conversation, without me asking. He is extremely picky/critical when it comes to these things. The house is over 60 years old with 2 of the bath being in original condition.
We personally won't see the bathrooms before the house is sold. We feel very confident in using Merry Maids. I'm only sorry that I didn't use them sooner to make my life easier. I was very satisfied with everyone I dealt with via phone and text regarding Merry Maids and making this happen. Thank you to all involved!
