The A/C just started freezing up, and it was a weekend. My original installer of 7 years ago was retired, so I was looking for a repair company. My wife, ever the good researcher, found Shemtov's listing though an internet search and we liked the reviews.

I phoned first thing this Tuesday morning at 0900, a pleasant gentleman answered the call and agreed to come out today in the afternoon. True to his word, the two man team arrived about 1300. We briefed them on what we saw of the failure. They examined the system, determined that the expansion valve was defective, made a parts run, replaced the defective valve, and by 1530 we were cooling again!

My wife and I are retired engineers, so for us there was much interesting science and question/answers during the repair; the gentlemen took our curiosity and questions in stride, working quickly to get the system back in operation.

I would say I was pleasantly surprised by Shemtov's ability to diagnose and fix the problem in a single visit, even better in just 2-1/2 hours. I thought their price was more than fair, and their troubleshooting skills were impressive.

I look forward to inviting Shemtov to perform any future maintenance. I would recommend their service as competent, rapid, and successful.

UPDATE Service complete + 5-1/2 hours: The repaired unit has been continuously cooling for 5-1/2 hours, no longer freezing up so it looks like the repair is fully successful. The house has dropped 7-1/2 degrees and I'm getting cold, so I'll be setting the thermostat back to normal and smiling all the way.

They did a great job installing my new AC system. Very professional, answered all the questions I had prior to installation. Got everything up and running in a timely manner. The last thing i needed after my AC was dead for several days was a hassle and Shem Tov Systems made sure everything went smoothly. Would definitely recommend.

Jamie found and fixed the problem with our A/C very quickly, and suggested and installed an inexpensive upgrade designed to prevent the issue from re-occuring. Highly recommend!

The company is very professional, honest and reasonably priced for the service they performed. They ordered the part in 1-2 days, contacted me to install the air handler unit and only took about 5-6 hours to install the unit. They provided some relevant information to keep the unit and compressor running throughout the year.

Highly Recommended! I have used Shemtove Systems for both a heater blower fan replacement and a new air conditioning unit. Very professional and trustworthy. They arrived quicker then I expected and got the heat back on without delay. When my AC unit quit last spring, they explained the replacement options. I shopped around and could not find a better deal. I went with the unit they recommended. They installed it within a couple of hours and it has been great. No complaints whatsoever.

Scheduled us quickly & arrived on time. Figured out problem, asked us how much maintenance/repair we were willing to do--with prices "up front." Did an excellent, workmanlike job. Charges though not low were not unreasonable. Honest & knowledgable.

Great experience all around. Professional, quick and straight forward. I was originally going to go with the manufacturer's motor, which means I was going to have to wait another day after they searched for the part. They called the manufacturer and were told to use the universal part that was on their truck. They knocked on my door within 30 minutes and installed the part in less then an hour. They checked their work and did an amazing job. They left the area as clean as they found it. All around a great experience. I plan to call Shem-Tov Systems for all my future work.

I can honestly say that this company is the best Montgomery County have to offer. I don't usually write a review for any type of service, yet Shemtov system is second to none. They are punctual and always on time,professional and always Carrie the last technology and Responsive to every call or email or text I sent in the past 25 years I've been using them.Most, they care and value their customers and keep close relationship with them. Countless times I called and had one of their technicians stop by to check and repair a system issue. Many times I wasn't even charged for the service since it was a simple quick fix. Shemtov replaced our leaking water heater. They were extremely responsive and professional. Their pricing was also fair and competitive. We have used them for AC installation previously and would highly recommend them.

Fair price, professional crew, answered all of my questions. We had used Shem-Tov for minor HVAC repairs over the years, and when it was time to replace the whole system, it was good to be able to depend on them. I knew they would do a good job at a fair price, and I knew what to expect. It’s good to be able to trust a company when you have a major expense.

Yariv and Jamie came installed everything quickly and great quality. It was an air handler and pipings that was replaced. They were also flexible in working with the HOA in coordinating time and date, and communicating throughout. The price was also reasonable. I am just still waiting on a horizontal thermostat that hopefully Yariv will find soon! They also do not upsell clients into unnecessary stuff. 100% recommend.

I have been very happy with Shem Tov since we began with the company. It has been three years since they began doing all our heating and air conditioning work. They are very responsive to any problems that have occurred. We are in our house since 1976 and have used many heating and air conditioning companies in that 49 years. All of them turned out to be a big disappointment. But Shem Tov has been great!!! I highly recommend them.

Three years ago, there was a problem with my Carrier heating and AC system. The electronic board and the fan motor were malfunctioning. Shemtov quickly identified both problems and was able to replace the defective parts within just a few days. Shemtov was also able to determine that both parts were still covered by a Carrier 10 yr. Warranty, and I only had to pay for reasonable labor costs. The system has worked flawlessly since then. This year, I had a routine maintenance service by Shemtov to make sure the AC is again ready for the coming summer. I was very satisfied with their professional expertise and can highly recommend their friendly and reliable service.

I hired them because the big companies ( Cropp, GAC,etc.) really didn't prioritize small commercial systems. Plus, with Shemtov, you see the same mechanics each time. they know you and they know the units they are servicing. We needed one of our two air conditioning units repaired during the height of this heat season, so we contracted with Mr. Shemtov, who was recommended to us by neighbor who had dealt with him in the past. Among the many estimates we received, Mr. Shmetov’s was the best. So was his promptness and professionalism. While our order was processed, the heat pomp for our second unit also stopped functioning. Mr. Shemtov came immediately and fixed it. We are so happy and thankful for his service.

We recently had our Fall/Winter Heating System checkup with Shemtov Systems. We learned of this company from my sister-in -law about five years ago when we needed to replace two HVAC systems in our home. Shemtov Systems installed our new HVAC units in 2020 and since then we have had great performance whenever we needed heat or cooling in our home. Furthermore, not only were Shemtov Systems costs for installing our HVAC units lower than competitors, the performance from those units has been superior, lowering our electricity and natural gas bills. Last, we always purchase Shem Tov's annual service contract because of those fine heating and cooling results just mentioned.

The service was excellent. As I customer I value communication and bedside manner. I was met with professionalism, was provided a clear explanation of what the problem was and how it would be resolved. I would use Ivy HVAC again and recommend to my neighbors.
