They were very responsive, and did a great job with our lawn, which is not straightforward, and mostly can’t be done with the big mowers. To that point, they were very reasonably priced, and respectful of our stuff (moving sprinklers, kid’s stuff, various gardens).

Octavio and his team did an amazing job landscaping my property. My family and I are very happy with the result and the professional job he and he crew brought. Great pricing for the quality he brings to the job.

Octavio Landscaping has done many projects for us. Weekly lawn care, building three retaining walls, seasonal yard clean ups, flower bed weeding, grass recovery. Octavio is honest, fair, and very patient with me.

This company is amazing. They did lawn care for me after we had a pipe replaced in our yard. They did an amazing job. They cleaned up after themselves completely. The Employees were so kind and helpful and respectful. The owner inspected the job himself to make sure it was done correctly. You will love this company. They now do all of my yard work from mowing and landscaping work. They are the best!

The men from Octavio Landscaping did a great job, in a bit over a week they built and back filled 2 beautiful retaining wall in our back yard.
The workmen were very polite and professional, and cleaned up after themselves, they even swept the drive where some rocks had fell.

Octavio and his crew are the best! Octavio is so patient and is great at explaining what needs to be done. The work is always clean, well done (knows exactly what to remove, what to trim down, etc), and professional. We have worked with him on a variety of projects at several homes in MD and DC, and everyone has always been very happy with the work done.

Octavio and his team are fantastic. He comes on time when you set an appointment. He is, as other reviews have said, very clear in his explanations of the work to be done. He was reasonably priced with regard to both jobs he has done for me. He and his men go the extra mile. I had all the trees on my lot removed 10 trees, they swarmed over everything and got it done in a day. They are now replacing a retaining wall and they improved upon my original request. I cannot say enough about Octavio and his team’s work and I will definitely hire them for future jobs.

Octavio and team were absolutely incredible. We could not have asked for a better contractor. Unlike other contractors who can be very rigid and will pull out fancy planning tools, Octavio focused exclusively on our satisfaction, taking each step as it came and making changes as we proceeded. They installed a large patio with walls and beautiful details, including lighting, transformed our side yard (garbage area) and installed a new flagstone walkway in the front of the house.

They did odd jobs like installed a gutter on our shed, fixed our gate, installed electric and water under the patio so that it's ready for an outdoor kitchen. They moved our a/c unit from the back to the side of our house, fixed our chimney, and they installed a second smaller patio/seating area in the corner of our yard.

Whenever we had the slightest complaint, he immediately remedied the situation. In fact, half the pavers were down when my wife told me that the border was not where she wanted it, and they had no problem re-doing all the pavers. He worked with us on every detail, including figuring out how the walkway and border should flow into the patio.

He even moved and replanted some plants and trees without us even asking! I was pleasantly surprised as I was doing some landscaping to see that he relocated a Red Bud tree into one of our garden -- one that he had pointed out to me that had sprung up in one of our flower beds.

We could not recommend Octavio Landscaping highly enough. And their prices were very, very reasonable.

I have been using this company to do our yard, front and back, for several years. The service has been exceptional. The owner, Rafael and his team, are taking care of my property on a regular basis. We have also used him for our gutters, collecting leaves during Fall , as well as planting flowers, etc. He is reliable, has great attention to detail, his team work is above and beyond . Hid prices are very reasonable. I have recommended him to several of my neighbors and they now use him on a regular schedule; they too are very happy with the services provided. It's not easy to find someone good these days. We are happy that we found SES Landscaping, LLC.
They are highly recommended.

Where to begin. They did over 36 thousand dollars in damage to my property and refuse to even discuss it, removed several trees without my permission, operate without a licence or proper insurance, refuse to respond to emails for literally months - the only communication I received from them was a bill after they did the damage, and ultimately forced me to go to a legal battle to recover funds to repair their damage.

Please don't make the same mistake I did. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE.

EDIT: 12/10, Amazingly, Mr. Miller has managed to go from just a civil case to a possible criminal case as well. After seeing the reviews Mr. Miller took it upon himself to trespass on my property without my knowledge or consent to "review the work," and ask questions of other contractors at my property.

Lee been taking care of my place for a couple years and it’s been great. Very responsive to questions or issues. He’s done new plantings for us as well as lawn care. I have some neighbors that use him. Everyone is happy with him.

Miller Landscapes has been providing their service to our 36-unit townhome condominium community, since 2022. I’m the Maintenance Supervisor and an owner within the Westbard Mews, located in Bethesda, MD. Our community has benefited from the quality work that Lee and his team have provided, including improving our landscaping and stonework needs. Additionally, we engage them for our snow removal services, so essentially, we have year-round coverage for our grounds. On those snowy mornings, it is common for Lee and myself to be on the phone around 5:00am discussing present and anticipated conditions for deploying his crew. What is really special is that Lee and his crew are all good people and fantastic to work with. Lee is from this area and his team has been with him a long time. We feel confident and lucky that we can easily communicate with Lee and his team. Lastly, Lee has been very responsive as our needs evolve and a wealth of knowledge.

I did an extensive research on retaining walls construction and landscaping garden design before choosing Don's company. Some other companies might seem to be less expensive but do not have the solid knowledge and experience as what Don has. Also some other companies might seem to be more expensive but do not seem to know this field as good as Don. What we were looking for is a company that really knows the business and also has extensive experience on both stone construction and gardening. It is hard to find because most companies are either this or that but not both. Luckily we had Don help building beautiful retaining walls, planting beds, and a dry river bed (Japanese pebble garden) last month. We were very pleased by the work of his professional team. After that, Don helped planting beautiful trees, sodding, and gardening few days ago. Before, during, and after the projects, we had a lot of discussions with Don. We told him our ideas, and he gave us his professional advice. If you are planning to do some projects similar to ours (stone walls, patios, and gardens), look no further because I have done much more research than you possibly thought. Reasons: 1. I don't want to pay for people to learn to do these projects (which means cheap works are out of consideration.), and 2. I don't want to pay stiff price for companies that charge unreasonable price (which means pricing needs to be reasonable and with highest quality professional works). With that said, our next phase of stone gardens will still need Don's help. We are glad to have him helping us.

If you are looking for a reliable, response, reasonably priced landscaping company that stands by their work, Don and Silver Spring Landscaping are NOT the solution.

I had Don to large project for me. While his prices were higher than other quotes, his reviews were positive enough that I went forward. Since then, there have been issues that needed to be corrected. Trying to get a hold of him to fix anything incredibly difficult. Eventually I did get a hold of him, and he has wanted to charge me to fix the issues that he created. I protested and now he has stopped responding to emails and phone calls. I suspect many of his reviews on Google are friends or shills. Fortunately, I have found better more customer-oriented landscaping companies around the Montgomery County area that do not overcharge and are much more responsive.

Silver Spring Landscaping created an exquisite oasis for our family to enjoy and our neighbors to envy. Don and his team designed and crafted a beautiful setting. The plants and stonework capture the essence of this old house and our love for outdoor entertaining. Everyday we looked forward to what new creation would be at our doorstep. This company was professional, timely and delivered beyond our imagination.

We hired Don to clear out our overgrown and flood-prone backyard, then regrade it and turf the whole thing. He put in a rock swale to channel the water away, laid a new concrete sidewalk, and installed French drains. We are very pleased with the quality, timeliness, and professionalism of the work. Don and his team did a great job and were very responsive. We would definitely hire Silver Spring Landsaping again. If you're looking for competence, reasonable pricing, and professionalism, give Don a call.

Don and his crew just did a fantastic job with a major landscaping project in our back yard. Our yard sloped steeply toward the back, and was previously wooded. We took down some trees to make a clearing a year ago. Working from my concept, Don graded a level area in the lawn, and built a retaining wall on the upper side of the lawn area. He sloped the lower end of the lawn to meet the original grade at the back of the lawn. Other landscaping companies either balked at the job, or gave estimates that were multiples of what we ended up paying. We did end up adding to the original job price, when the grading did not produce a large enough level area. But I feel the additional cost of enlarging the lawn area was well worth it, and was done at reasonable cost. As the project progressed, we decided to go with the lighting option, and then we added plantings, and some maintenance of existing stone work. They reconstructed stepper pathways with existing stones, and did a lot that integrated the new work with some existing features. The final result is truly amazing. I did not even imagine the yard would look this good, when we started the project!

Don was there every day to start the crew off, and was very responsive to communications. I've dealt with other companies where the sales representative gets you hooked because you like them, but then never shows up to your job again. Not with these guys.

Also, Silver Spring Landscaping was less expensive than the other companies, because Don and we, were both willing to work with a concept and design the retaining wall pretty much by sight. I drew a concept by hand to show him what we were thinking, and when it came time to start the wall, he set down some flags to show where it would be, and we agreed from that. So there were no landscape architects involved, no drawings. This has to reduce the cost tremendously over those companies that only work from architectural drawings. But the final result looks like it came from landscape architects.

As a final note, our neighbors commented on how thoroughly the crew cleaned up the street at the front of our house, where they had been loading dirt and mulch. They were impressed that the crew power washed the street!

Don has done a wonderful job on our landscaping. Him and his team were quick and efficient but also did a high quality job. He even offered to change out some plants if we didn't love them which was above and beyond what he had to do. Overall, he has an eye for landscape work as my husband and I just provided some high level input of what a we might like and he was able to design the perfect solution. We fully recommend him and will use him again in the future for any additional needs!

I just felt the need to write this and I barely ever write reviews. I am a very particular and difficult customer. We had a front and back patio along with a side walkway installed. It was not an easy or clean job. But, every single time there was an issue or I had a question, Don answered it and tried to make it better; even after payment was given. He and his team did a great job. I would definitely hire them again without hesitation. Thank you Don!
