This is a just review, and this is why:

You came by my house to view the backyard and provide an estimate for pavers to be installed. It took you 12 months to finally return with an estimate, despite me calling you several times in that 12-month period to obtain your estimate.

In that 12 months, inflation grew very badly and the costs of materials went up a great amount. I was ready to begin work within a reasonable time from your first visit, but having to wait for 12 months caused everything to be much more expensive.

When you finally gave the estimate to me, you wanted $130k to install pavers, which is, frankly, insane. We found another company who is much more organized, and they did the job very well for less than half what you tried to sell us.

We really like our new walkway! Jay responded promptly to our initial call for estimates on this project and we chose his company based on our initial interview with him. The Rhine crew was very skilled and meticulous in the installation of our project and it shows! We wanted our new walkway to be functional, blend in with our existing landscaping and home and look as though it was meant to be. Thank you, Rhine Landscaping! This project is the 'Oh WoW' look!

From the moment I met Jay I knew I was in good hands. The proposal was clear cut and easy for me to follow. I asked many questions and response time was immediate. The crew of 9-10 men came about 5 weeks later. The job from beginning to end was professional. The men all knew what to do. The foreman was so kind and explained everything. Every worker was friendly and always concerned if I liked everything. If I could give it 10 stars it would not be enough.

Heavy rain caused water to pool in the front of my house and flood my basement. Rhine provided several options for draining and re-grading. They did a fantastic job, showing careful preparation, expertise, and quality every step of the way. I'd happily work ask Rhine to help with my next landscaping project.

We had Rhine install 2 patios, a raised bed planter, plus mulching and landscaping. We could not be more delighted. We gave Jay a particularly difficult task… creating a patio within a copse of trees without damaging the trees or roots. His design was inspiring. He created a beautiful shaded space for our family to enjoy in the hot summers. The patio itself even resembles a tree. He took care to make sure the drainage was perfect for our space, something other contractors didn’t seem to want to bother with. His team came on time, was focused and professional. I was in awe watching his stone mason lay the paver patio from scratch with such precision. I can’t imagine going with anyone else for our future landscaping projects.

We are beyond pleased with the work we got from Rhine. They are prompt, professional, and the work is quality and beautiful! They fully designed our patio and landscaping, and the teams working on the project blew us away. I highly recommend hiring Rhine Landscaping!

This is our 3rd major project, with one other smaller project, completed with Rhine Landscaping. I appreciate the quality of the jobs they've done for us over the years. The personal service and communication has been high priority for me, and again proven with this project. The crews are hard working, pleasant, professional. This was a new front walkway. I watched the crew on and off, working through the rain, cold, from demo to the finished project. The finished walkway is absolutely beautiful. I love it. Thank you Jay and the crew for another job well done!! I'm already planning my next project with Rhine. I trust they will do excellent work and wouldn't consider anyone else.

Our second job with Rhine Landscaping, and we continue to be very happy with the results. This time we replaced an aging wooden deck with a paver patio and bench wall. The result more than met our expectations and the project was completed on time. Everyone involved with the project is first rate. Jay helped us shape a vision that met our needs and addressed the challenges of the setting. The demolition team removed both the old deck and nearby tree with care. The installation team headed by Jose created a beautiful and durable patio and bench wall that we can't say enough good things about. Everyone involved was a pleasure to work with and they were very respectful of the property and our living space. Highly recommended.

I contacted Rhine Landscaping via email for a few projects at my backyard.
Rhine Landscaping responded within 24 hours and we scheduled a meeting within the same week.

Jay, the owner, arrived on time and listened to/answered all my questions (I had plenty) and explained in detail what he plans to do.
I received a detailed proposal within a week and Jay was very responsive for any follow-up questions which I had.

The overall experience has been great so far and we are very excited to get the project scheduled.

Update 4/27/2022:
Our backyard project(s) were completed in April and the results are impressive. We are very happy!

I am a very detail oriented person and can be challenging, but whenever a question or an additional (unplanned) request came up, Jay's crew was making recommendations and solved them. In general, the crew was very experienced, kept me informed about the next steps, and delivered great results.
The entire journey from the first interaction with Jay until completion was very professional and I am foreseeing that this was not our last project with Rhine Landscaping.

From the moment the owner, Jay Rhine, came out to our property to evaluate our yard drainage issue, I felt confident he could finally solve our problem. We got quotes from 4 different companies who all had different ideas of the best way to handle the places where our yard was turning into a river when it rained. Rhine was not the cheapest, but they inspired the most confidence.

After careful consideration we decided to choose Rhine and I could not have been happier with our decision. Jay answered every question I had promptly and courteously.

Alvaro was the manager of the job and we also found him to be amazing! He shared that he had worked for the company for 14 years and had been a part of all of the drainage projects since them. His knowledge and expertise were clear from the start.

When the project began there were some unexpected hiccups, like unearthing a graveyard of the past homeowners drainage solutions. One of the issues required additional materials and labor and Rhine was wonderful to deal with about this and even donated some of the parts since we were already at our price ceiling when the project began. We were extremely grateful for that.

During the job the team was prompt, efficient, and they left the jobsite way better than they found it. We have not had a big rain yet in order to test our system but this was also a reason we chose Rhine. They offered a 5 year guarantee on their work, and the length of their company history gave me confidence they would still be around in 5 years to honor it.

I will certainly use them again for other projects and I highly recommend Jay and his whole team!

I had been thinking of putting in a pool for 6 years. A year and a half ago I met with Jay Rhine (Owner of Rhine Landscaping). I was surprised, yet very pleased to have met directly with the owner. We discussed my vision and his initial recommendations. Jay put me in contact with their lead engineer. The professional team at Rhine brought my vision to life, plus more than I could have ever imagined. What used to be a small backyard with a steep slope is now a private, relaxing, oasis with plenty to do for kids and adults. The entire project was completed/ overseen by the experts at Rhine. I was updated continuously, met with engineers, landscaping and office staff as needed or desired. I am totally and completely satisfied with the completed project. I will be using Rhine again in the near future for a patio roof and a pool house. They are not the cheapest, but they are by far the VERY BEST.

Had a wonderful experience with Rhine Landscaping. I initially called 2 different companies that were no shows. I drove by a home everyday that had a beautiful patio so one day I knocked on the door and asked who they used. They gave a great review, showed me their patio in closer detail so I finally contacted Rhine and had my consult scheduled within a week.

Jay showed up and we discussed many ideas and options. I had a quote within a few days and once I signed off on the job things continued to roll and went smoothly from there. Rhine Landscaping, owner Jay Rhine and his staff have been wonderful to work with from the beginning when we first received our estimate. Jay would stop by to make sure everything was being taken care of for us and to address any questions that we might have had about our different projects; which were masonry and a water drainage system for our backyard. This was a tremendous amount of steps for his crew. The crew of workers were on time and the work was completed by the end date. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was clean and neat on our property when they left each day. We will continue to use Rhine Landscaping for many years to come! This company could not be more incompetent. They arrived late, overcharged, and were incredibly rude. There are enough decent electricians out there that nobody needs to give this company your business.
