Constraction reviews in Waldorf, Maryland
-
The techs were extremely thorough and friendly. One of the techs was in training and the other was very patient and thorough teaching him the proper protocols. I will definitely use their services again.
Thank You -
Used duct tape to close off a valve after demoing my bathroom and turning the water back on. Contractors caused significantly more damage to my kitchen and living room. Initial damage was only to the upstairs bathroom and kitchen ceiling due to a toilet overflow.

One star because they've stated that someone would call me twice and I've not received a call yet. If the customer service is indicative of their work then I'm probably better off. My house has mold, I need to live there...sort of an emergency. And the website states they have 24 hour service...

From the start to finish Durclean stays in touch with you. Open commutations. Helps with the claim with the insurance company. And does a AWESOME JOB. Highly recommend them. A project manager was on the job at all times.
-
Before they even entered the building they were selling me on everything possible.
This was a small leak. Dishwasher.
I would Not ever use them again.
If you’re a woman, perhaps even a professional woman and older this is not the company for you. They left things torn apart and well, enough said. -
Duraclean did a fantastic job on my duct cleaning and mold treatment. The employees showed up on time and explained the process to us before starting the job. I highly recommend them to other customers.
-
I DO NOT recommend using Duraclean. They dropped my bed, and crack the frame, they also misplaced several of my belongings. They did not meet my expectations of work or communication effort. I have no confidence in this company as a whole and TOTALLY would not recommend them as a restoration company to anyone I know or communicate with.

I would leave them negative stars if possible. They damaged our dinning room table moving our household goods to refinish the floors. They have pictures of our table before hand without damage and the picture of the damage immediately after moving the table back in. They still refuse to claim that they damaged the table even with their own proof. The project manager that came to the house to handle the claim was the most unprofessional representative I have ever encountered.

We had Duraclean Restoration Services of Waldorf MD repair drywall, replace baseboards and paint in our basement that sustained water damage.
I found the team led by Melvin Tayman to be prompt, courteous and professional. Their work was impeccable. I could not tell after they finished where the damage had been. They left the work area cleaner than they found it. I highly reccommend this company. -
To put it briefly , it has been over four months since this company has had my claim with the insurance company and it is still not resolved. In fact , I don't even have a date when they're gonna come start the work. They had to revise their estimated repairs At least three times the insurance company. The project management stuff is incompetent.

I’ve had some rough move out issues in the past with getting my deposit refunded. So I called Duraclean to clean my carpets and the entire house. Not only did they do a great job, but the management company said it was one of the cleanest move outs he’d ever seen. Got my full deposit back. Great people, friendly and professional.

Overall the service provided was very good. I had water damage, mold mitigation, and asbestos mitigation, therefore the project was pretty big. The project managers were very responsive and knowledgeable regarding everything that was needed to complete the project. Everyone that worked in my house was very respectful and professional and I would highly recommend Duraclean to anyone.

Prime did a wonderful job on a water mitigation at our home. Advising each step of the way as to why they were proceeding with the demo and equipment. Great communication and polite employees. I would highly recommend them.

I used Prime Restoration (PR) under the guidance of my insurance company, and I now regret that decision. After a fire, I initially considered PR for home repairs, but I am so glad I ultimately chose Paul Davis Restoration instead.
My insurance company requires a complete list of items that have been cleaned or deemed non-salvageable by PR, but we have yet to receive this information since August 2024. Without this list, we cannot assess the reimbursement for the non-salvageable items. I have contacted various staff members, including George Gibson, but have not received any response.
This situation has caused considerable frustration and anxiety. In contrast, we quickly received the necessary information from Paul Davis and 1st Team, who both provided professional and excellent service. I hope this matter can be resolved soon. -
If there was a negative star it would be more appropriate. If you are assigned this contractor through your insurance DEMAND a replacement. Immediately. The owners are crooks and will not take responsibility for their horrible Project Managers. The workers are not bad, some of them are qualified, none of them are managed and they have horrible direction given. The homeowner has to be the prohect manager becuase no one else does. We are having to have them redo half our bathroom because the sub contractors had no clue what they were doing because the Project Manager just sent them to houses and they didn't have any plan or guidance. Ive tried to talk to the owners numerous times and they refuse to take calls or return them. That is #1 red flag. #2 red flag communication is horrendous. people just show up to work on your house they don'[t know why they are there and you didn't know they are coming. They were in an out for 7 months on our project anad i asked EVERY SINGLE DAY for a heads up if they were coming or not because i have dogs and they needed to be kenneled before anyone came....i think out of 200 days they were in and out i got 3 phone calls. I just had to have my shower pan and tile completely removed (the claim is still from April 2024!) because the slope wasn't to the drain. The faucet on the new vanity was faulty and we have been waiting since 2/24 for them to install it.... now their is water damage on the brand new vanity. They came a couple weeks ago and handed the hardware to me! It has been sitting somewhere since 3/6. They assigned us a new project manager who actually can communicate but only because i threatened to sue them and have the previous project manager arrested for trespassing if he even stepped one foot on my property. Im trying to get them removed from contractor connection so no one else has to go through this.

Super grateful for Prime Restoration! They showed up fast after we had a leak and got everything under control way quicker than I expected. Everyone I talked to was helpful and actually explained what was going on instead of just rushing through it. No stress, no runaround just solid work. Would definitely call them again if I ever needed to.

Huge thank you to Prime Restoration for their amazing customer service and thorough air duct and dryer vent cleaning! The team was professional, and explained everything clearly to me and my husband. I can already tell the air quality has improved, as have my allergies. Highly recommend!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
I was sent to them thru my insurance company. Not only are they IMPOSSIBLE to get on the phone and get something scheduled. I was told I had to pay out of pocket for something that they messed up and was only told a day into my project. It had been scheduled for 4 months, they had plenty of time to alert someone.
Then the owner just gaslighted me “I’m the owner and heard about what was happening and I’m gonna make it right” and didn’t do anything. The only reason I didn’t have to pay out of pocket, is because we wouldn’t allow them to complete our project. -
I highly recommend Prime Restoration. I had a tree come thru my house. The insurance company was very difficult and did not communicate. Prime helped me navigate the process, they stayed in touch with me for the whole 5 months that it took to get the repairs done. They advocated on my behalf. All of the workers were professional, friendly, and very respectful to protecting carpets and walls while in and out of the house doing the work. The office staff is so nice and make stressful situations feel not so bad. And the foreman made sure every detail was taken care of and checked in often.

I would like to start this by saying I normally don’t leave reviews but with this I feel like I should.
I would never use or recommend Prime Restoration to anyone. Things started off great when I was dealing with a young man named DJ. He was awesome throughout the whole process professional, communicated well, very understanding, and made sure I knew what was happening every step of the way. Honestly, I have no idea why he didn’t handle my claim the whole time because everything was smooth while he was involved.
Once I got passed off to another person though, everything went downhill fast. The young lady who took over was rude, dismissive, and terrible with communication. She was hardly ever available, and when we did talk, her attitude made me feel like I was being talked down to instead of being helped. There was absolutely nothing about that part of the process that made me feel like a valued customer.
The whole experience on the back end of my claim was horrendous. It’s honestly a shame because it started out so well, but by the end, I was completely frustrated and disappointed. DJ was great, but the rest of the experience ruined it for me. If you want to be treated with respect and feel like your time and money matter, I’d recommend going somewhere else. -
Prime Restoration was the water mitigation company that was referred by my home owners insurance company. From start to finish, this company exceeded all expectations. Their water mitigation crew arrived promptly, prevented further damage, and kept me updated throughout the entire process. Once the area was dried out, they were also the reconstruction team who stepped in and did phenomenal work—everything looks brand new and the craftsmanship is top-notch. Their professionalism, communication, and attention to detail made a stressful situation so much easier. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to anyone dealing with water damage.
They responded quickly, explained every step clearly, and worked efficiently. The reconstruction came out even better than before the damage. Highly recommend!
