Had a long road towards getting our porch built working with pre-existing DC zoning issues. Eddie stuck with us through the process and helped move things along through the shutdown and everything. When we finally got that cleared they delivered a great product. Eddie was there pretty much every day checking on the progress and making sure everything went to plan. Would recommend.

Eddie and his team did an excellent job on my home. They installed two new high sitting toilets, hand rails inside and outside my shower/tub, and a stair lift with remote controls on both levels. My ceiling and wall had to be cut open to do the electrical work for the stair lift and there is no evidence that it was done. They also installed a new door, roof and siding on the shed attached to my house. I am so pleased with the work that Eddie and his team did. I highly recommend them.

We recently purchased a home built by Italo and his team at I S Enterprises. We feel so fortunate to have found and purchased such a wonderful home with such high quality construction! Every day we find another impressive detail around the construction and finishes of the house. Most importantly, Italo and team have been very responsive to our questions, concerns, or minor repairs since we moved in. My wife and I hired IS Enterprises, Inc to do a major renovation at our home in Marthas Vineyard. IS moved their construction workers from Washington, DC to Marthas Vineyard to do the renovation. What would have normally taken 1 1/2 years by local contractors, IS completed the work in six (6) months. The renovation included a complete demo of the existing house. Now we have 3 new bedrooms, new Kitchen, 3 new bathrooms, cathedral ceiling, new screen porch, new flag stone deck and new porch. In addition, new plumbing, new electrical and central A/C. It was an amazing job completed in a short period at a great price. In addition, the owner of IS made great and improved changes to the plans designed by the architect. My wife and I are extremely happily with the finished product.

We contacted IS Enterprises to replace old metal handrails in our townhouse, and also rehang a door and do some lead paint mitigation in our baby's room. Planning this type of work in the middle of a pandemic is no easy feat. But Eddie and his team were easy to communicate with during the planning phases, and kept us updated frequently as to the timeline and status. Once on site, they were prompt, impeccably clean, and detail-oriented. They also facilitated last minute lead testing so that we could return home as soon as possible. We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend IS Enterprises and Eddie's team.

They did a FANTASTIC job! I was in a hurry to fix repairs to my condo so I could get top dollar when sold. The estimate and timeframe for the job were provided quickly after the initial call. Though a little on the pricier side, the money was well spent simy for the peace of mind. I was contacted as new developments occurred and the results exceeded my expectations. I have recommend them to a few of my friends and colleagues in the DC area for a professional and timely job. (Hired to paint, restore carpet, replace microwave and light fixtures.)

Italo and Eddie were great to work with! My job was complex with some fixed short-term milestones within the larger scope of the project, and they were able to work with me to meet those important deadlines. Their team showed up consistently and worked hard, even in the stretch of 100-degree days we had in July! I think the pricing was fair and the few change orders we had were legitimate and reasonable. I’m loving my spa bathroom and expanded closet, and looking forward to having tenants in my new lower level eco-luxury rental unit. It’s truly a transformation and the beginning of a new era for our family home!

I approached Eddie in May 2025 for a quote while I was living abroad. He went to the property and provided an estimate without any issues. In June 2025 we met in person at the property, discussed some adjustments, and he updated the quote right away. Throughout the whole process, Eddie was always courteous and warm, and you can really tell he cares about delivering great customer service.

At the same time, we were doing lead removal at the property, which was very important for us since we have small kids and their safety is a top priority. Eddie took the time to walk us through the entire process and made sure all abatement protocols were properly followed. He really reassured us at every step. We also had an external party overseeing the work, and the final clearance testing gave us the peace of mind we needed, confirming once again that Eddie’s team followed all protocols in detail and did everything correctly.

Eddie and his team are very professional. Since we were living abroad during the renovation and could not see the progress in person, Eddie made sure to keep us updated regularly and always discussed decisions that needed to be made. Eddie’s personality is a great mix of his entrepreneurial mindset and a charming Uruguayan sense of humor, which made communication easy and pleasant. Even when we had different opinions, we were always able to find a middle ground and reach a consensus.

Like with any construction or renovation project, there were a few small bumps along the way, but nothing major and definitely nothing that would stop us from hiring them again. The crew, especially Benigno and Ivan, were excellent and always came back to the house, even after the main work was finished, to take care of final touches.

We did receive cheaper quotes from other companies, but we chose Eddie and his team because they truly deliver quality work. We are very happy with our decision and would absolutely recommend them.

Mike did a great job restoring the interior of our home. His attention to detail is amazing.

Mike did drywall, and custom projects for me. His work was professional quality and he cleaned up after himself. Would definitely recommend this fellow for your next project!

I have been using Renaissance Handyman (Mike) for 20 years now, spanning multiple properties across DC. He is highly skilled, gives honest evaluations and solutions, and his prices are extremely fair given his high quality work. I have used him from small jobs to complete bathroom and kitchen renovations. There is no handyman in DC that I trust more or that I have found to do better work!

Mike has worked on many projects for me over the years, including lots of painting, dry-walling, historic restoration (transoms, pocket doors, wood detailing), wood fence repair, installing floor tile, plaster repair, and many other odds and ends. He always approaches his work with an eye for detail, and the end result looks great. One note is that, while I would call Mike for any project, I recommend him particularly for historic restoration. I first met Mike because multiple other repairmen told me that could not fix my jammed, hundred-year-old sliding pocket doors without opening up the walls. Mike could, and it was beautiful!

I had rotting on the trim of my historic home that was causing concern for water damage. Mike and Eugene were able to come out to assess quickly, communicated an estimate and were able to start quickly after that. Once they started, they noticed additional problem areas that would have been even more problematic. They were professional, friendly and reasonably priced. My home looks so much better!
