Would highly recommend Case remodeling and specifically the project manager Tom Craze!

Great design and workmanship to turn a small bathroom into a spa like experience. T'hanks!

Apparently this company only services the areas of DC with the "right" zip code. It makes you wonder why they decide to service certain zip codes of a city that is only 68 square miles. I am left to believe it is not for any legitimate reason. Of the 23 zip codes in DC, this company doesn't service 20019, 20020 and 20032, the only zip codes east of the Anacostia River. This appears to be intentional. I guess I live on the wrong side of the river. So if where I live is not good enough for them, I'll gladly give my money to someone else. I hope those who read this take that into consideration when deciding whether to give this business your money.

Everyone was professional , kind , courteous. We're on the job prompt and completed on time and cleaned up . I liked the quality of the materials used and the installation professionalism.

We were so thrilled with the results of our kitchen remodel that we absolutely would not change a thing. Case guided us through the process seamlessly. The quality of the work is exemplary. Everyone we worked with was professional and they continue to be available with support and answering questions.

My husband and I cannot speak more highly of our experience with John Audet and the Case Design team. We purchased a 1926 bungalow in Chevy Chase that was in serious need of work - plumbing, HVAC, layout, windows, walls, structure, you name it, it needed it. In our struggle to bring our vision to light, we found John and Case Design. With John’s help, Case Design was able to help us truly find our vision and bring it to light. Through our work with John and the Case team, we now have our dream home.

Jorge, Alejandro, David, and Carolyn are a fabulous team! I appreciate the electricians very much for their creative thinking and solutions. This was the easiest renovation I’ve ever done. Exactly what I wanted - to be hands off and let Case do all the hard work.

We have loved working with David Waguespack, Loren Sanders, and their crew at CASE Design. David helped us remodel our kitchen and 3 baths a few years ago, and now we call him and CASE whenever we have other projects around the house, even small ones. The work that CASE has done for us has been on time, on budget, and at the highest quality, paying attention to even the minor details. David has amazing design ideas which have helped us increase the functionality of the tight spaces in our house. I would highly recommend working with CASE, and in particular with David.

We couldn't be happier with the work Fred/Case Design did to update our home. From start to finish, everything was very organized, methodical, well-timed and clear. Usually, it is hard to communicate with a contractor, but whether it was email, text or phone, we were always able to reach them. Some of our projects were small-seeming, but meant a lot to us to repair, so we appreciated the care and attention to detail we felt we received. The carpentry, paint and plaster work were all top-notch. They even refit our attic for storage - in July! Hats off to the Fred/Case team - we'd definitely use them again.

We used Case design for a complete kitchen and laundry room remodel, and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. Richard Rocco was our initial contact, and gave us expert advice about different possibilities for the space, the scope of work, and accurate pricing and schedules. Hope Hassell was our expert and unfailingly supportive designer. Our craftsman Shawn Higgins was amazing; he did superb work and was a friendly presence who always went to extra mile to make sure the space was clean every evening, and that our cats were well contained and happy during the reno. All of this happened under the careful and expert management of project manager Tom Craze who was a pleasure to work with. Tom was highly competent, friendly, always available to troubleshoot, and actually brought our project in slightly ahead of schedule. We are thrilled with our kitchen and laundry, and will definitely use Case again for any future work. And, we will definitely ask for the same team!

We spent a few years thinking about renovating two full baths and a powder room in our 100-year old house but did nothing until we finally decided that Case Design was the company we wanted to work with and initiated the project in early 2019.
Two things became apparent as we progressed through the detailed design stage and then on to construction. One was the professionalism and competence of the Case people involved and the other was the pleasantness of working with them in their offices and in our home.
Mike O’Hearn and Melissa Binderman, the Project Developer and Designer, were knowledgeable and experienced in presenting ideas, reacting to our desires, and executing a final plan. Their patience as we sometimes changed our minds about decisions that had been previously made was appreciated, as was their willingness to keep modifying what we wanted based on seeing results in our house rather than in a showroom.
Loren Sanders, the Project Manager has been attentive and thorough in keeping us posted on the construction process and schedule. The star of the show, however, is Bill Shaw, who has done most of the construction work. Not only is what he does of the highest professional quality, he has been in our house steadily for two months and instead of an imposition, it has been a pleasurable experience. He explains everything he is doing and gives us the opportunity to customize items like where towel racks go and what height the shower should be.
One of the prime benefits for us of this project turned out to be not the new, modern appliances updating our old baths, but the underneath replacement of floors, ceilings, walls, water pipes, insulation, and electric wiring. We’ve essentially rebuilt a major portion of our house.
In doing major construction alteration, Case took great care in eliminating dust using suction machines and in protecting the parts of the house outside the renovation area. We bought a room air scrubber for our bedroom as a precaution. It indicates when the air is bad, and it has almost never found anything other than clean air.
We highly recommend Case for home renovation projects. -
We worked with Case on a full kitchen gut and remodel and they designed us the kitchen of our dreams! The team was extremely professional, communicative and responsive. They had a fabulous eye for detail and were excellent craftsmen. Head craftsman, Tony, was amazing, efficient and had a great taste in music. :-) I would highly recommend Case for any home remodeling.

Case Design performed a "pull and replace" bathroom and kitchen remodel. Eight months included: initial measurements, design discussions, formal design, product decisions, purchases, and construction. I'm happy with the results and the workmanship is excellent; however, there were coordination issues throughout, which created undue stress. I recommend developing a relationship with your designer and project manager. They are your advocates and are crucial in explaining to you what is happening and provide the best translation of your final design with craftsmen. My place looks so much better than it did before and I'm grateful for their efforts.

We used Case for our DC row home addition and we cannot say enough great things about our experience from the entire team: Neil Martin, David Waguespack, Laura Burnett and Tony Goncalves. From the start of the design process, David and Laura educated us about the most optimal layouts for our kitchen extension, updated powder room, laundry room and walk-in closet. They helped us select a warmer option for the kitchen and finishes that were within our budget, and also complimented the features in the rest of our 100+ year old home. The permit process was seamless - both working through DOB and DDOT, which are notorious for being tricky to navigate. During construction, the head craftsman, Tony, and crew kept the house extremely clean and had impeccable attention to detail on the cabinets, stonework, etc. Despite hitting several issues with our neighbors, the team remained extremely professional in dealing with them and managed to update the plans for constructing the addition without any impact to adjacent properties. Our GC Neil’s, customer service and ability to navigate the project with ease was impressive, and we ended up finishing early and within our budget. Through every step of the project, the team was communicative, responsive, and offered sound advice. There’s truly no better group to work with in DC and we’re so thankful we worked with them on the remodel of our dreams!

Four years after Case’s complete rebuild of our condo, we invited them back to do the same thing in a recently acquired studio unit in the same building. We knew exactly what we were in for with Case, and that was exactly what we wanted. Starting, as we did before, with Project Development Director David Waguespack, the design team listened carefully to our desires, including how the new space would be used differently that the first job, and built up that foundation to create a result better that we could have imagined. What’s particularly satisfying is that Case’s process doesn’t force *their* design up us; instead they apply their experience and expertise to more fully evolve *our* desires and taste. Finally, their top notch construction team and strategically partnered trades deliver on that design — with eyes open for those little enhancements to open up little bits of otherwise blocked space for clever uses. Everything pretty much on time and on budget. A testament to Case’s professionalism and product quality is that our building engineering team will from time to time ask to come inspect this or that aspect of the construction to set standards or expectations for other work being planned elsewhere on the campus.

We used Case for a significant remodel and expansion. The team did an exceptional job and great to work with. It was so helpful to have one group to manage the full process. Our lead architect, Dave Vogt, was very creative and thoughtful in a beautiful design and clever use of space, the team was great with the design elements and materials, and our project manager Jorge Solano was phenomenal in keeping everything on schedule, ensuring all of the work was top quality, being responsive and a pleasure to work with.

Our project was the renovation of a 1963, 5 bedroom, 3 1/2 bathroom house in NW DC. The basic floor plan of the house was not changed, but the job included updating the kitchen, bathrooms, electrical, lighting, windows, hardwood flooring, stairwells and more. Our Case architect and design person was Dave Vogt who I cannot complement highly enough. Talented, professional and personable and immediately responsive to queries. Jorge Solano was our project manager during construction. Also talented, professional and personable and immediately responsive to queries. He successfully coordinated the tradespeople, sequenced the tasks and kept the project on schedule. The carpenter, and other tradespeople were excellent. We chose Case because of their long experience, reputation in the neighborhood, and solid guarantee of their work. It was a wise choice!

We have worked with Case twice now, first for a small exterior home project, then for a larger project. Our recent project was an addition to our home, including expansion of the kitchen and adding a bedroom and bathroom.
Our Project Design team worked with us from the beginning of project conception to consider the spaces our family needed; Dave Vogt and team gave multiple options on layouts/pricing/design, and then finalizing details of each room. He and Case were advocates during the permitting process and helped move along a stalled approval through the DC process.
Our Project Manager Brian Knott lead the construction team to keep on schedule, communicate constantly with us on progress and decisions, and did high quality work.
We are so happy with the final project. -
We worked with Case on three projects: a major kitchen and bath remodel, and a smaller custom built-in cabinet at an entryway. MJ, Richard, Stefan, and Drew were terrific to work with, from design through final inspection. The solutions were inspired, the work top quality, and the relationship and communications positive throughout. We are delighted with the results and look forward to working with Case again in the future..

My husband and I spent months looking for a great design and build firm in the DC area to redo our small condo kitchen. After interviewing a number of places, we found ourselves most comfortable with the team at Case Design in DC. Specifically, Project developer, David Waguespack, his designer, Carolyn Elleman, project manager, Stefan Eising, and carpenter, Francisco were all wonderful to work with. From the initial conversations through the design process, finish selection, demo, and complete reno, the team was knowledgeable and very considerate of our time, wishes, and needs. I very much recommend this team if you are considering a renovation! They may be slightly more expensive than other options in the area, but it was well worth how at-ease I felt knowing that everything would be done correctly. THANKS!

Our outstanding Case team didn't simply remodel our narrow, awkwardly shaped kitchen and tiny adjacent bathroom, they creatively transformed the space to levels of openness, beauty, marvelous workmanship, and functionality we could not have imagined. Throughout, they kept in close touch, quickly responded to questions and technical issues as soon as they arose, and seamlessly coordinated with the outstanding teams of plumbers; electricians; HVAC, drywall, and flooring specialists; and other skilled tradesmen they brought in. To our delight, they also worked with us to secure zoning approval for the construction of a deck off the kitchen, giving us ultimately not only vastly more efficient kitchen space, but -- for the first time -- seating and dining space outdoors. We could not be more pleased with the finished remodeling, or with the experience of working, , individually and collectively, with the superb Case team. Hopefully, the before and after photos convey some sense of the wonderful new space we're enjoying.
