We had a great experience with our kitchen remodel. Despite slight delays, everything turned out perfect and all of our concerns were always immediately addressed. Everyone (Atabey and Onur, specifically) was professional and responsive. We can't wait to spend more time in our new kitchen!

Staff was professional and well prepared. The designer, Emre, had excellent suggestions and alternatives for a challenging bathroom reno. Mary Beth, assistant to Emre was also very knowledgeable and responsive. The project was carefully overseen by Ata, project manager, who was responsive to my many requests. Overall, after completing many renovations out of state with many companies, I highly recommend this company, without reservations.

Build Design Center turned my vision into reality and gave me my absolute dream kitchen! From the very first meeting, Emre on the design side listened so carefully to every idea, concern, and detail I had in mind. He translated my thoughts into a stunning, functional design that fit my space perfectly while elevating it beyond what I could have imagined.

On the build side, Ata was equally incredible—meticulous, professional, and always making sure that every element was completed to perfection. His attention to detail and commitment to quality were unmatched, and he made the entire process smooth and stress-free.

The whole team was responsive, communicative, and genuinely cared about making sure I was happy at every step. Now I walk into my kitchen every day and can’t believe it’s really mine—it’s beautiful, practical, and everything I dreamed of.

I couldn’t recommend Build Design Center more highly. If you want a team that listens, delivers, and exceeds expectations, this is it!

Had a great experience and would highly recommend working with BDC. Both the design phase and actual renovation went very well - everyone involved was professional, responsive, and easy to work with. We are already talking about doing more work with Emre, and that's probably the best recommendation I can give.

I had my kitchen renovated with the help of interior designer Emre, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome! I had a clear idea of what I wanted, and Emre not only brought it to life but elevated it with his design expertise, trend-savvy guidance, and incredible attention to detail.

What started as a kitchen renovation turned into a full transformation of my entire floor — and it’s absolutely stunning. He turned my entire main floor into a beautiful open-concept space by removing the wall between the kitchen and living room. He supported every decision with creativity and professionalism.

The project was smooth, stress-free, and beautifully executed by a fantastic team. Now I absolutely love spending time in my kitchen it’s stylish, functional, . Highly recommend!

I had a very small job of repairing a glass shower door that was installed by another contractor and Onur was willing to fix this door when no one else would, which was very much appreciated.

In less than a week from my initial call, Onur came to check out the project and sent Omar to fix the door. The door is now installed properly and is better than it was initially installed, and my concerns of it falling are alleviated. Completely recommend Build Design Center Kitchen and Bath based on this experience and would use them again.

The entire team was responsive, detail oriented and thoughtful from start to finish for my bathroom renovation. Emre is a design genius. Most importantly, their work is of the highest quality. The team responded promptly to a few unexpected construction hiccups and resolved the issues quickly. I would certainly engage this team again if I require another bathroom renovation or need a kitchen redo.

It was an incredible experience working with Build Design Center.
I needed to remodel my primary bathroom in my house in Georgetown.
I found the Build DC on when I walked on Wisconsin avenue. Once I walked into to their showroom I was greeted by Emre. He immediately understood what I was looking to accomplish. We scheduled an in-home estimate and made the selections. Sertac supervised the project everything went so flawless. I cannot recommend Build design center more. The picture speak for itself.
    Well deserved 5 star!!⭐️

Highly recommend working with BDC Kitchen and Bath! They were able to transform my small bathroom and upgrade it into a truly luxurious and functional space. Emre was my designer, and throughout the process, provided an incredible level of detail and creativity. He ensured the design of the bathroom aligned with the style of the rest of the apartment. The estimate was fair and the project was completed in 3.5 weeks. Sertac, the project manager, was communicative and thorough. I’m thrilled with my new bathroom.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Build Design Center to address some issues in my bathroom, and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. From the moment I walked in, the team's professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction were evident. Hector, deserves special recognition for his outstanding work. He tackled the task of tiling the floor and walls, turning my broken bathroom into a beautiful and functional space. The attention to detail was impeccable, and the quality of the work exceeded my expectations. What truly amazed me was the efficiency of the entire process. Despite the scope of the project, Hector managed to complete the job in just two days, showcasing not only his talent but also a strong work ethic. It's rare to find a team that combines speed with such high-quality craftsmanship.

The installation of the sink and toilet was seamless, and I now have a bathroom that not only meets but surpasses my vision. Build Design Center has undoubtedly earned my trust and loyalty. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of reliable, skilled professionals who take pride in their work.

We were in need of renovating and updating our entire kitchen, and BDC helped us with the project. The team has been very responsive to our questions, concerns, and input throughout the entire process. As we near completion, we are very pleased with the design, the materials selected, and the overall look and feel of the space.

We used Build to renovate our kitchen and bathroom in our historic DC condo. We had a wonderful experience. This was me and my husband’s first renovation project and Emre was super helpful making decisions. The project was on target for timing and we were happy with the communication and response of the team when small issues came up. We would definitely use them again and get compliments on the renovation often!

I worked with the Washington, D.C. branch of Build Design Center to completely renovate our bathroom. From design to final punch list items, their whole team was great and I am very satisfied with the final results. I don't really enjoy shopping and home design, so was very happy that their talented designer Emre and his assistant could specify everything needed with one visit to their showroom. Once construction began, project manager Sertac and construction supervisor Wilson were amazing. Sertac dropped by regularly and would come over almost immediately if I had a question or concern. Wilson is an intelligent problem-solver who kept things on track with inventive ideas and attention to detail. I am already planning to hire them again for a second bathroom renovation project!

The team from Build Design DC exceeded my expectations. Emre, Chiara and Sertac were very professional, responsive and willing to work with my extra requests . The bathrooms came out beautifully and were even finished ahead of schedule. A really pleasant experience, which can’t often be said about renovations. Looking forward to enjoying them and showing them off. Have already recommended them to a colleague looking for kitchen updating.

My wife and I were looking for a bathroom remodeling company that could manage every aspect of the project—from demolition to the final touches. Emre, Omar, and the team at Build Design Center Kitchen and Bath have been fantastic. They worked around our busy schedules and guided us through the entire process. The design meeting went exceptionally well, and we’re excited to see the finished result. We’ll definitely be recommending them to our friends and family

Our experience with the entire Build Design Team was excellent. This is a team that excels at design, installation, and importantly, problem solving. When an immovable pipe revealed itself, Emre was quick to develop an elegant solution that still met our desired endpoint. The installation team and project management team was also excellent. Atabey and Onur kept us well informed of progress and worked well with our condo management to coordinate deliveries etc. Wilson and his installation team did exceptional work. In previous experience with kitchen remodels I was presented with doors that weren’t aligned or drawers that stuck - not this time. The doors were nearly perfect (I am exceptionally picky) and every drawer and slide-out worked beautifully. We are pleased with the cabinet and hardware quality. I only wish I had used BDC on my previous remodel. I highly recommend them. They are customer focused and a pleasure to work with.

Our bathroom was a 20+ year old faux travertine thing with a phone booth sized, cave-like, separate shower and a whirlpool that hadn't been used in a decade and became the closet. Had some relics from the "Live, Laugh, Love" era. Not the worst bathroom. Not great. It was time. We started sending guests to the basement a while back after we updated it.

    The design portion was amazing!

The build part? Started rough, got amazing, crashed and burned. Crashed and burned may be extreme but definitely fell from the glory of a week prior.

Not sure, but from what I can tell, they may use independent contractors with the company's project manager. I feel like we got the C team. Maybe a new-to-the-company contractor. I'm sure you'll have a better experience.

Did the demo. Quick, efficient, clean. Then the rough-in? They placed the light switch outside the room, in a stairwell, behind where a picture was and is currently hung, and beneath a light fixture it doesn't control. What? I raised hell [politely]. Wouldn't let it go. They kept telling me it wouldn't pass inspection anywhere else. I kept asking why. They wouldn't tell me why, just that it wouldn't. I asked if turning it 180 degrees, going from a two-gang box to a one-gang box and getting it closer to the door frame would work. What I didn't tell them was that the last reno was done by my uncle. He gave me the code and tasked me with figuring out where the light switches and receptacles went. No further instructions. I had done this before. In this very same room, no less. Unless the code changed, which was possible in 20 years, I knew it could be done. Even after the PM verified with an inspector, the contractor still did not want to turn it 180 degrees.

Everything went amazingly well after that

We [I] talked to the PM and trainee about the window changes 20 years ago and changing it back. I have like 4 "Don't forget the window!" and "The sill is still long." emails. Never got changed. they just tacked on an apron, no mitered return.

I got a call at work from my mom "He wants to know if you're alright with flipping the cabinets because yada yada yada." I thought "That’s gonna look dumb with the short cabinet on the bottom" but said "Do whatever y’all feel is right." Because my mom and I had our worst argument since I was a teenager over light switch placement. Cabinet placement seems more frivolous than light switch placement. Didn't want another argument.

Got home to flipped cabinets [expected], notched custom cabinet [not expected], visible plug, and visible waterlines. Why am I looking at white plastic and hanging cords as soon as I turn in the room? "Your mom said it was fine, she could find something to put in front of it." Ummm, what? I’m aware that everything may have been tacked onto whatever came after the flipped cabinet call but that's just a bad install. Name another appliance with the receptacle and source line 6 inches above it, You can’t. I raised hell [less politely] They fixed it the very next day.

I keep asking myself if I was being unreasonable. Come back with no. I don't feel like any of my hang-ups were unwarranted or extreme. I only contributed like 15% of the total budget. She signed off and she's happy, so I guess I’m happy but Ehhh, I guess...

It's like they got 99% there then said, "We're done!"

Can't remember all the pics but the original bathroom (they did real work! Great work!). New bathroom, the first switch location was under that pic to the right of the door. Poorly finished, window trim. Pieced sleeping porch trim. Pony wall in the mirror wasn't in the original design, but I came up with making the bathroom more age-in-place after the design was completed SMH; needed it for a toilet grab bar. They pivoted quickly and efficiently on most of my ideas.

I gave them 5 stars because I didn't want to be the first lower one but it's probably 4. 50 5-star reviews, I know my experience was a fluke.

Tile install and installer were great!

Build Design Center has been a joy to work with across my kitchen renovation for my DC condo. Emre was incredibly helpful and thoughtful in building out a design and coming out to see the apartment to get a better overall view of the space. He was great in providing options and working through my budget in order to brighten and modernize the space.

The team performing the renovation was incredibly easy to work with and they kept me informed with progress or any issues. Atabey and Onur were very helpful and responsive to any of my questions or concerns throughout the process.

Our apartment was in need of major renovation after over 20 years of use. We were looking for a remodeling company that has skilled staff, delivers reliably on time, and has fair, competitive pricing and an honest way of dealing with customers. After thorough research and also in light of our friends’ diverse experiences, we chose Build Design Center Kitchen and Bath (BDSKB), which has a nice showroom in Georgetown. They have now completed the remodeling of our two bathrooms and kitchen, and we are very happy with the work they have done and the outcome on all counts (quality of work, timeliness and pricing) . We worked mainly with Emre and Atabey. Emre has a unique combination of skills, as he is an owner-manager of the company, but is also a highly talented designer and has a very practical, hands-on approach. Most importantly, he has been very generous with his time throughout the process (as opposed to only just the design and contract phase), is easily accessible through in-person meetings, and has an honest, fair approach regarding pricing that compares favorably with the competition, has his heart in his job and genuinely enjoys both the design and implementation process, and seeing his design and related work well executed (hard to find these days). He is also easily accessible and highly responsive to any unexpected requests. In the implementation we also worked closely with the project manager Atabey, who has done a great job, highly dedicated, and is also very pleasant to work with. We valued the fact that they were accommodating to any changes we had to the initial plan, and responded promptly, pleasantly and without fuss to any adjustments or fine-tunings to the work that needed to be done. Seeing the very good quality of the renovation of the bathrooms and kitchen, we are now aiming at expanding with them the renovation to the rest of the apartment. Overall it has been a very positive and pleasant experience working with the BDCKB team.

BDC brought my vision to life. I had a rough layout for the room, and the mock-up from Emre convinced me that BDC was the company I wanted to work with. The end result was beautiful. After the design process, the negotiation of the project itself resulted in some adjustments to the scope of the work that further gave that bathroom character. The project manager was Onur, and the Crew lead was Wilson. The crew struggled with cutting the tiles to accommodate the type of floor I had requested, so additional boxes were ordered. This project took place concurrently with the installation of a new opaque window by a different company. Some coordination was needed so that neither team was there at the same time. The crew asked to confirm finer details on the job, such as the direction of the tile arrangement, the placement of light switches and the ceiling lights. The project manager did a good job in matching up the gold/brass fixtures - I was worried that there would be several different shades. The LED mirror was back ordered, and I didn't want a different design - Onur went the extra mile to order the mirror I wanted. We're now at the punch list phase, when I'm asked to make any minor last minute adjustments. I love the bathroom so much I'm considering reachign out to BDC again for another bathroom remodel.

We selected Build for a plumbing and bathroom project based on the positive reviews we saw online. We are glad we did and we're happy to contribute our own positive review. We met Emre at the showroom and after just a few brief conversations and visit to the house, he came up with excellent design ideas that matched our preferences. He was friendly, responsive, and easy to work with. The work started quickly and was finished on time. Our project managers Onur and Atabey were also responsive and made sure we had finished bathrooms we loved. A few minor things could have been better - we'd prefer if they'd updated us on progress more regularly, there were some mixups in products delivered, and some measurements were off (common to old homes like ours). But in the end we are so happy with the finished work and recommend Build to anyone doing a project in DC. We would work with them again.
