They were excellent at what they do. I was very pleased with the meticulous work habits and cleanliness they should after completing the job. I recommend this Company to anyone looking for professionals.

DreamMaker did an extensive rework of our basement to remove mod damage. We were very satisfied with their cooperative and professional approach.

We’ve worked with this contractor on several projects. They excel at drywall and finish work. Once projects are started they are effective and efficient. They are good at problem solving and responsive to our requests. We will definitely work with them again if they are available.

We have engaged with DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of Northwest DC on a variety of jobs, for 15+ years, before and after they became affiliated with DreamMaker. Their communication, workmanship, and integrity are why I feel confident in rating them with 5 stars.

DreamMaker has worked with me to complete several projects the way I wanted them. Most recently, they helped me repair damage to paint and dry-wall caused by an A/C installation. The house now looks pristine.

This company has been involved in almost every aspect of our home renovation, over a 10-year period. The work has always been excellent, and if anything is ever not perfect, they make it so. Projects have included complete kitchen and bathroom remodeling, window and patio door replacements, painting, water damage repair, drywall replacement and project management of electrical, plumbing and roofing services.

I can highly recommend DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen. I had a complicated job of replacing an AC unit in a condo where the blower was installed in the ceiling. I needed DreamMaker and the HVAC company to coordinate demolition of the ceiling, installation of the unit, and final repair of the ceiling under trying conditions. The job went great and I really appreciate how Verl and his team at DreamMaker coordinated with the HVAC company to get the job done timely and professionally. I was also very pleased with the quote. Great job and I am highly satisfied.

We have worked with DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of Northwest DC several times over the last few years, and we've been very happy with their work. They were especially helpful when we came home from a vacation and found that several rooms in our house were damaged from a big storm. They were very helpful, and we would definitely call on their expertise again!

We have used DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of N.W. DC and Verl Dyer for more than twenty years to care for our home built in 1898. We have done massive structural jobs and small jobs over the years. They are excellent. They stand behind their work. The same excellent crew has helped us over all these years. They are the best in our book.

Verl and his crew did several renovations on our house in NW DC, including completely remodeling the master bathroom. It was a fantastic result! We were very pleased with the attention to detail (especially in the initial design phase), the constant flow of information during the process, and the quality of the work. That was several years ago, and the bathroom is still in great shape and looks amazing! Highly recommended!

We have always felt relieved to have Verl Dyer (of DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen in NW DC) in charge of a home project, from simple repairs to large improvements. Over the many years, Verl has replaced the wood floor, created built-ins, installed kitchen backsplash tile, replaced historic windows, and completely remodeled the bathroom. He has also done countless projects for our small condo building. We can always count on Verl for better quality and personal attention.

We used Dream Maker Bath and Kitchen to rebuild and remodel our laundry room, which had to be completely destroyed to deal with a major plumbing issue. Verl and his team did an excellent job. He made very helpful suggestions throughout the process and the team provided high quality work in a timely fashion. The entire team was friendly and easy to communicate with. We would be happy to use DreamMaker again in any future project.

"5 stars! Dealing with a leak is stressful, but Dr.Leaks made it painless. Not only did they find the hidden leak quickly (without tearing up my home), but they also respected my home by wearing shoe covers and cleaning up every bit of dust. Fair pricing and great communication. First class from start to finish, I highly recommend and I will
not hesitate to call them again if I have another problem

Great service. Walked me through the process so I would know what to expect. Thorough investigation that not only found the main leak but two other secondary sources that were documented in the report.

These folks were really great in the beginning and have since stopped answering my calls. They charged me for time that they were not actually working and have failed to deliver a report over a month after they came to our house.

I had a leak from an unknown area between my foundation and outside window and I didn't know who to call -- siding, waterproofers, etc. I found Dr. Leaks and explained I had a nom-plumbing related leak from an unknown point and they were able to quickly schedule time to send out inspectors who were able to quickly identify the source. Very happy with their service.

I have two leaks in my house. At first I had a local highly rated plumbing company come to evaluate, and they couldn't find the leaks, for which they charged $150 in labor. So I called the leak Dr. team who sent three leak diagnosticians who methodically went through and tested all possible sources of the leaks. They found one on the roof and another from the bath tub after scouring the entire house they providing me with a detailed report of what needed to be done. They were professional and I highly recommend them to anyone with pesky leaks!

The service was so bad from start to finish that I don't even know where to begin. I called in mid-July to book an inspection - the first available slot was in August . Fine, they were busy. Two repairmen came to my home to assess the damage and write a report. They charged me $585 for an inspection that was a little over an hour. I felt that this was pretty steep, but I didn't argue because I got the sense that the repair would not be too expensive based on what I was told. I then had to wait another seven weeks (until September 24) until my report was available - over nine weeks from my first call to them. At first, they wouldn't even send me the report that I paid $585 for until I scheduled a phone consultation, but after some nudging, they sent it to me. They tell me that the repairs to fix a simple leak in my kitchen will be $5300 (so start to finish, more than six grand)! Along with the estimated cost came a brochure on financing options, so this company is also in the business of predatory lending. What is even more insane is that I paid $585 to diagnose a problem that should only cost between $1000-$1500 (yes, I ran this by my handyman - who will be doing the work). I'm still out $585, nine weeks, and a whole lot of patience. Please do me a favor and don't work with this company. It simply isn't worth the headache!

I've used Dr Leaks on numerous issues. I've continued to use his services over the years. From customer service, professionalism and last minute service calls, it's been an easy 5 star service. Can't say enough about how this company has helped me over the years. Highly recommended.

I had a leak in my garage. I had three roofers, a plumber, and a different leak detection company come by and no one could figure out where the leak was coming from. I finally contacted Dr. Leaks. They were the only ones able to identify and fix the leak. They explained and documented everything very well. They also counseled against a more expensive repair that they didn't think was necessary. More than six months later, and everything is still dry! I highly recommend them.

I hired Dr. Leaks to conduct Phase I leak detection on my DC condo, which included an in-person inspection, a written report of their findings, and a recommended repair plan with pricing. Unfortunately, the entire experience—from scheduling to delivery—was unprofessional, costly, and left me without the information I needed for months while an active leak continued.

I first contacted Dr. Leaks on 16 June, and we scheduled the inspection for 18 June. The day before, they cancelled and said we needed to reschedule. Three days later they offered availability for 1 or 2 July; after I agreed to 1 July, they then said only 2 July would work.

They required a responsible party be present, so I took a full day off work, traveled 45 minutes to my condo, and waited through their entire 4-hour arrival window on 2 July—only to be told they would not make the appointment at all. I had taken the day off for nothing. The next available appointment they could offer was 1 August, pushing the inspection nearly two months past the original date while my leak continued.

On 1 August, I again took time off work and met their team. They spent a couple hours assessing the leak and gave me an initial verbal assessment indicating that windows and sliding doors would need to be removed and reinstalled. I paid $576 for Phase I and was told to expect the written report within 1–2 weeks.

    Weeks passed with no report.
    • On 14 August, I reached out and was told they were backed up.
    • On 2 September, after following up again, I was told they had hired someone new to help with report writing and would update me—no update ever came.
    • On 10 September, they offered a 10% discount on labor due to the delay, but still did not provide the report.
    • By 20 September, more than a month after the inspection, I emailed to express my concerns and set a deadline of 30 September.
    • No report arrived by that date, so I initiated a dispute with my credit card issuer.

Only on 13 October, after the dispute was filed, did Dr. Leaks finally deliver the report—almost two and a half months after the inspection and nearly four months after our original appointment was supposed to take place. By then I had already hired a different company, who responded promptly, investigated the leak for free, and delivered a repair quote within two days. Their efficiency made the late report from Dr. Leaks essentially useless.

To make matters worse, Dr. Leaks told the card issuer they had fulfilled their obligations by delivering the report—without noting that it was only delivered after I initiated the dispute due to excessive delays.

For the price charged and the time wasted, this entire experience was extremely disappointing. I cannot recommend Dr. Leaks based on the repeated cancellations, lack of communication, substantial delays, and overall disregard for the urgency of an active leak. I strongly encourage others to look elsewhere for leak detection and repair services.
