Really impressed with this Walmart today. At this one and the Riggs Rd location, it is usually awful to try and check out. Both typically have few checkout lines open and the lines to get out go back into the clothing section, behind the checkout, and beyond. I used to wonder how anyone got anything frozen. Today (9-25-21) it seemed like every register was open and there was no line extending into the walkway. I didn't wait to get to a register--at all!

The selection is pretty standard for a Walmart in DC, but with more international options than others. The weather is cooling down, but I was excited to see a variety of helados I will add pictures of. I also had a moment of nostalgia seeing a box of moon pies on display, which I don't think I've ever seen in DC over the past decades!

Dale, Morgan and crew created a masterpiece out of our formerly dilapidated front yard. From the initial consult to the removal of a non-tap root tree to the final design, these guys are consummate professionals. They reviewed our wish list and made recommendations when needed, they coordinated true white glove service and are now on rotation for recurring maintenance on both the plantings as well as the irrigation system that has made upkeep effortless.

Casey was very responsive and provided a high quality result at a reasonable price and ahead of schedule. We will contact her again if the need arises.

Casey is 100% worth it. She helped us transform our front and back garden into something gorgeous; her team came in and did everything quickly and even better than we were hoping.

Used them through the DC RiverSmart program. Nice enough in the planning stage but just not very impressed with the level of service in the planting and follow-up, plants just not planted with much care and a good fraction struggled to survive despite our best efforts.

I asked them to refurbish my rain garden. They were responsive to my needs, and did an excellent job. I was especially pleased with their selection of new flowers to be included in the rain garden.

For anyone visiting DC, whether you have a green thumb or not, is a must-visit. Total vibe. THE coolest gifts, plants and curiosities. It's a slice of serenity amidst the bustling city streets. Highly recommend!

Used them through the DOEE Riversmat home program. The first person to make an appointment didn’t know how to find herself around DC and I stayed at home all day waiting and got a call 2 hours after the appointment to reschedule because she could find my address. I am not hard to find at all. It then took months to get another appointment and the second landscape architect proposed plants that would not survive in my yard conditions, like marshland plants that I had to point out to them. Not a great experience.

Musty!!! Situated below ground in an unfinished musty basement. I wouldn't spend 10 seconds down there. I wouldn't even want their plants in my home. And it does seem a bit rude to confine plants to a subterranean space with little natural light.

The walls are just 200-year old stones. Downright evil to force someone to work down there. Not to mention a criminal could easily overpower solo worker and no one would notice because store is down a small alley and subterranean...

The backyard is charming but only as an addon to the main floor. And I didn't feel safe walking down the alley.

I'm all for Nantucket charm or place that evokes West Tisbury, but within limits, and those limits are inhaling musty air.

Not sure if the owners response is visible but it strikes me as belligerent. Plus they checked their calendar and noted they don't see me, which of course implies I'm lying. There is literally a welcome sign in the street inviting in pedestrians. There should be a DANGER ⚠️ sign.

Wandered into Casey & Co Garden & Gifts expecting a quaint little shop and found myself transported across the pond without the jet lag!
First, the soaps. Ah, the soaps! If you ever wanted to smell like a fresh Alpine morning, a Tuscan summer, or quite possibly what I believe the Queen’s corgi might bathe in, look no further. Truly, it’s the European vacation in a soap bar!
Then there’s the plants. I found myself whispering, “Am I still in DC or a hidden garden in England?” to a fern that looked suspiciously like it knew the answer.
The jewelry? Exquisite. Each piece tells a story. But the true magic lies in their "unique gifts" section. I won't give away too much, but let's just say it’s where I’ll be shopping for all my holiday gifts.
This high street treasure in DC’s historic heart of Georgetown is a gem. Well, multiple gems – I saw them in the jewelry section!
Would recommend for all seeking English charm without the 8-hour flight.
P.S. Parking's a game of Tetris, but isn't that part of the authentic European experience?

Casey and Co have done three major projects for me and each one was excellent. Their work is top shelf and all of the staff are professional, timely, and amazingly nice. You can't go wrong using these folks!

This is the coziest, cutest shop I have happened upon in a long time!! My friend & I were giddy with excitement when we walked into the garden part, and then even more when we found the shop down the steps. Had the loveliest chat with Nita, and hope to be back tomorrow already! 💗
