Just moved here from Miami & have been searching for a new fav plant shop. Ive explored so many & this one is definitely it! Great selection of plants at reasonable prices. They have an outdoor & indoor section plus an upstairs portion. I’ve gotten so many plants from here already. The staff is also friendly & helpful. Recommend.

Ginkgo Gardens is a cozy neighborhood plant store where I get almost all of my houseplants and planters. They also have a wide selection if outdoor plants. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the plants are beautiful. Sometimes I just visit the store for some pleasant browsing.

I’ve recently been working on a project to improve a row home front yard after a sewage pipe replacement. Dealing with clay soil and elevated beds has been difficult, so we went here for some feedback and help.
First off the quality of products is better than anything else in the district. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and spent plenty of time with us.
If you want to support a small business that treats customers right and knows what they are doing, you should go to Ginko Gardens. -
Exceptional customer service. These people are incredibly kind and go above and beyond to help you. Big shout out to Murphy for your assistance!

Some of the plants sold here did not have any roots, so what chance do they have in surviving? The other plant we bought was fine though, still this nursery need to either check their greenhouse or suppliers for rooted plants.

Wonderful selection, great service, adorable cat! What more could you ask for??? Also while waiting for our uber, an employee noticed us being attacked by mosquitoes and brought us bug spray. 11/10!

I highly recommend this place for your plant needs in DC area.
The selection for plants, specially indoor plants, are unbeatable in this store. I probably spent over an hour here yesterday and could have easily spent more time. For me, I really appreciated their selection of indoor vines because I just don’t see don’t frequently. -
Bought our Christmas tree there this year. After experiencing not so great service at a nearby gardening center, it was a refreshing change to shop at Ginkgo. We received friendly and genuinely caring service. Plus our tree is beautiful! Highly recommend.

Are really cool place! This place just gives you zen feeling. What an amazing experience. We just moved in the area and this is our first time here. Definitely recommend to friends and family!

Wonderful and knowledgeable staff! Such a pleasant experience and they have a plethora of indoor and outdoor plants. I looked high and low for a fiddle Leaf fig tree in dc and finally found one here, a beautiful one at that, for an amazing price! I will get all of my plants here from now on. Thank you so much!!

Great store. Great knowledge. Decent prices and such a variety. It's a great small business to support. But your plants here!
-
My go-to garden store in DC! Great place to go for all your gardening needs and you’re shopping local (instead of those big box stores). Great selection of annuals and perennials.

I finally had the chance to stop by Ginkgo Gardens, and it completely exceeded my expectations. There is a WIDE variety of plants, planters, tools, and more! During checkout, I told the man I was just beginning my gardening journey and he pulled out this book to help me with the plants I bought today! Thank you so much for the amazing experience and exceptional customer service. This isn’t the closest plant nursery to me, but it is 100% worth the trip. I will definitely be back soon!

Wow. Wow. Wow. What a treat to find on a visit in the city. Never did I think so much could be packed into such a space! Any and everything hanging from the ceiling, the cutest little pots and planters and everything in between. I got some seeds, chunky mix and bamboo by the stick. The upstairs and outside hold plants galore, can’t wait to return

I won’t be back. I had a day off and decided to visit Ginko after seeing them advertised on TikTok. When I walked in, I was the only one in the shop. There was an older white guy with grey hair at the counter and he barely greeted me. It’s fine…I’m thinking maybe he’s shy. Idk ..so I go to look at the succulents over by the window and I greet the shop cat. A few moments later, an older white lady comes in and he loudly and proudly greets her, welcomes her in, asks if she needs help, and brushes past me having not given me the same energy. I immediately left. As a black woman, that experience is not something I want to have again and definitely not in DC. Please fix your customer service. Every customer should be treated the same.

My first impression of this place is that it's a garden where plants are available to be taken home. The outdoor space is absolutely brimming with happy plants of all sizes so much do that it spills out onto the sidewalk out front. The indoor space has two levels. The second level is accessible by stairs and has a very lovely balcony with more plants and outdoor furnishings.
I didn't notice an ADA option to ascend. It would likely be a tough store to navigate anyhow with such narrow aisles all around. Parking is available on the street. Read the signs because some spots are affected by the school nearby.
They had a great variety of planters from basic nursery plastic to ceramic and even brushed metal. As you can imagine the nice ones are pricey as are the larger plants. Furnishings and racks can also be purchased here. They even have terrarium components. Literally whatever you may need for basic indoor and outdoor gardening is under this roof. Go check it out! -
Delightful store with a wide variety of plants, both indoor and outdoor. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I needed a bonsai tree for a gift and this place had what I needed. I will be back to add additional plant life to my home.

I love Ginkgos! We are so lucky to have them in the neighborhood. I picked out the most beautiful marigolds from them and even got to see their cat Kitty on my way out!

an amazing experience at Ginkgo Gardens today. Cole helped me choose several low maintenance plants and gave thoughtful tips that made the whole visit enjoyable. I ended up getting a Hoya Compacta Hindu Rope, a ZZ plant, a Philodendron Lemon Neon, a Bromeliad, a Crassula Jade, an annual, and a six inch Euphorbia Firestick cactus. Everything looked healthy and high quality.
The store was quiet this morning so I received very personalized attention, but even on past visits when it was busy, the staff has always been friendly, patient, and welcoming. You can really tell they care about their customers and the plants they sell.
Prices are higher than places like Home Depot or Lowes, but the quality is much better and well worth it. This is one of the best plant shops in DC and I will keep coming back. Highly recommend. -
