This is what my yard looks like after 2 years with them. They said they aerated and seeded. I can't find a seed or speck of dirt out of place. Look for yourself in the photos. Does it look aerated to you? I did find the sign on the door saying the job was done along with the bill. I suspect it wasn't the first time judging by the appearance of my lawn. Management didn't even bother to call me back. Keep looking. DO NOT use TruGreen!!

I received first class service from my TruGreen representative Robby. He was knowledgeable and professional. He was attention to detail in every area of my property

Jose did my shrub service today. He arrived in the indicated time frame. Jose was fantastic. He rang the bell and knows I worry about my dog being in the yard. He remembered the tree im especially trying to save and explained what he was doing today and what the service would address.

I had to report my experience with David Hullet, Trugreen Manager, using this platform because it was absolutely unprofessional. While out of town, a technician had provided a reservice to my property without first following the instructions on my file to first knock on my door to meet with me. I'd placed this requirement on my account to avoid any issues in treatment because in the past a "new" technician had treated my fescue grass on the sides of my house with bermuda premergent. I believe it happened again. My regrown fescue grass had burn and died while I was out of town. I asked a technician what could have caused this and he said premergent. When communicated to the Manger he adamantly stated with an unacceptable tone and edicate the only solutions would be either a chargeable reseed/aeration or and I quote "Part ways" with Trugreen. At that point, I told him he was out of line and I was going to record the reminder of the conversation then he discontinued/ (hungup) the call. I know David's sediments, tone and temperament were not consistent with upper management because I'd dealt with them in the past. Im looking for resolve.
Note:
Im holding David to Trugreens mission. He was unacceptable.
TruGreen's mission is to provide high-quality lawn care services that promote healthy, vibrant outdoor spaces for customers, while also being committed to environmental responsibility and community support. -
I accidentally signed up for TruGreen services for my property in Frankford, DE, believing I was renewing my previous plan with Lawn Doctor. I paid $793.85 upfront for a lawn care plan because this is a short-term rental property, and I specifically wanted to avoid any contract or automatic renewal.
During my initial conversation with the agent, I clearly explained this, and at no point was I informed that I was enrolling in an automatically renewing service. To my surprise, I was later charged $92.61 on 03/26/2026.
I contacted TruGreen on 04/01/2026 to question the charge. After explaining the situation, the agent told me she would check whether the service had been completed. She then stated that the service had been performed on 03/26/2026 and that while she could cancel future services, she could not issue a refund.
However, the property is equipped with exterior cameras that notify me of any motion at both the front and back of the house. After reviewing the footage, there was no record of any service being performed on the date and time provided by TruGreen.
When I explained this to the agent, she responded rudely and suggested that I dispute the charge with my bank if I had camera evidence. I have since done so.
Please be aware that my experience with TruGreen in Frankford, DE has been extremely disappointing and raises serious concerns about their business practices. I am now happily continuing service with Lawn Doctor. -
Very frustrated with this company.
I keep calling them to fix the issue. If they are hired to take care of the lawn, why does it look like this?
No one is considerate enough to fix the issue...they keep saying a specialist will come and see it.
I will cancel my contract with them.
My lawn is not a " True Green"
It was better before I contacted this company.
UPDATE...
After I wrote this review, I got a test message...see below
"Good afternoon, this is ---- with Trugreen, I hope you are well. I'm reaching out to you today about some issues we've been noticing on lawns, there is some heat stress and nutsedge that we are currently addressing. In addition, the landscapes have been infested and damaged by scale, fungus, and spider mites
With the fluctuating temperatures and scattered showers, these issues will spread and cause significant damage to the landscape if left untreated. The landscape should be sprayed that way we get ahead of those issues before they spread diseases and further damage across the property. Thank you."
Where were you? I keep asking help a lot of times...now you are telling me that it is infected..
Is it because I canceled my service?
Why did I pay all that money if you don't prevent this?
When I called the customer service and talked to an agent, he didn't mention even once to come and address my concern. He asked me to give me 10% discount in my regular payment...I said No...it is not about that...it is about my lawn...and he said 20%....I was laughing...It is all about the money which comes first...not you!! "The preferred customer"
I am really surprised!!! -
I got a notification on 9/30 that a technician had visited my place, aerated and overseeded the lawn. I was very pleased. I got home from work about 6 pm to find the worst damage I have ever seen done to my lawn. It looked like someone had walked around with a pick axe or shovel and dug holes throughout the lawn and scattered the soil over the live grass. The pictures and videos show some of the holes about 10 inches. I immediately called customer service. the lady was very nice and courteous. I explained how the soil scattered on the live grass would kill it and how it needed to be addressed sooner rather than later. She said someone would be by to look at the damage and correct it within 24 to 48 hours. I called back on 10/1, around the same time because I hadn't heard back. At some point today I had missed a calll and found voicemail from someome with such a thick acdent that even when I dialed the number they left me it was wrong. I called Trugreen again. While the lady was very courteous, she was not helpful at all. I expressed concerns about damaging the lawn further with the holes and soil smothering the grass getting worse. Also, that it being Thursday, if nobody shows up Friday, it's going to be a whole week at best before anyone shows up. In the mean time I am unable to mow. I also asked for their insurance information in case I needed to get this resolved through my insurance company and file a claim. The lady said she did not have this information. She said she had no supervisor, nor manager. I found that rather bizzare. This is very frustrating.

Red Oaks Tree Service did an AMAZING job for me today. They were professional, on time and provided excellent customer service. Walter made sure we were satisfied with the job before he and his crew left. Wish I could give them a 10 star rating!! Would highly recommend their services.

We had a large tree dying right next to our house. Walter came out the next day after I contacted him to give a reasonable estimate to remove our tree. I was very impressed by Walter's knowledge about the trees on our property and the condition they were in, healthy or dying. I scheduled Red Oaks to remove our tree and they came out the following week. They had our tree down in no time! It was great working with Walter and Red Oaks. We will definitely be using them in the future for the removal and care of our trees!

Red Oak Tree Service and Walter did a GREAT job at a REASONABLE price removing trees in the backyard damaged by wind and storms back in the late summer of 2022. They are good people and a do a good, quick, thorough job. Very friendly, honest, and prompt. I highly recommend them.

Very professional, they cut my front yard tree down that has been there for 40 years and they did a great job. I would definitely use their services again.
-
Walter and his crew did an amazing job taking down a large Silver Maple situated between my house and my neighbors house, which had very large branches hanging over both of our houses. The price was very reasonable and I would definitely hire them again for any tree care needs.

Red Oaks did a fantastic job removing a very large tree in our backyard.
Walter and his team were wonderful. They were prompt, courteous and efficient. We had several estimates and Red Oaks prices were more affordable than all of the other companies. We would highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a professional tree service. -
Walter was recommended by our neighbor and I'm glad he did. He was able to give me a quote the same day I called. After having a few quotes from other Tree services, I was really impressed with Walter. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a very good eye. There was a Hemlock over my driveway that a very reputable Arborist (Bartlett) said was healthy and just needed their professional grade nutrients. Turns out Walter was the only tree service to see it was already uprooted and going to fall over. They do a great job and clean up well.

Walter was a nice guy and was very knowledgeable about the trees in my backyard. It was a small job and his price was very fair. Just needed one tree trimmed back. Would definitely use him again for tree service and I already gave his info to a few of my coworkers. Only issue I had was he didn't communicate that he'd be late - which sucked because being late would've actually been ideal for me because I could've left work at my normal time instead of leaving early and using my PTO. So I ended up wasting my time off for no reason.

Exceptional company. I contacted Red Oaks on Sunday after being informed by my insurance that I have to remove the tree branch out of pocket that broke off from the city tree onto my new roof. I am moving out of the country this weekend and listing my home for sale so time was of the essence. Walter responded by text and came by for the estimate Sunday and scheduled the removal for today. His crew showed up on time and removed the branch from the roof as well as trimming the branch that cracked and another that was close to my home. Company also followed up and provided pictures of my intact roof. Wish I could give more stars! Hope you never experience trees or large branches falling on your home but if you do and are in the Baltimore area, call Red Oaks.

Walter and his crew showed up on time and did an exceptional job. They were finished in record time and cleaned up everything afterwards. The price was more than reasonable. We will use them for all of our needs in the future.

Red Oaks did an excellent job pruning the trees on my property. They are also extremely reasonable in their prices. This is the second time I have used their service. I would definitely refer them to others.
