Erick was great to work with. He met with the Insurance adjuster and discussed what needed to be done. The workers showed up on time and worked hard to complete the job in one day and to clean up thoroughly when they were done.
Since our roof was replaced our neighbors across the street had theirs replaced by Mid-Atlantic and I have recommended them to several other neighbors.

We had an addition put on with beautiful screened in porch and a basement finished…Everybody from start to finish were wonderful especially Greg, Edwin and his whole team. They were extremely professional and personable. They worked hard everyday to accomplish a high level of perfection. We couldn’t be happier!

We were thrilled with the work we had done by McWhorter Construction. They designed and built a new screened in porch. Ryan, the owner, led us through the design and scoping project. Greg, our project lead, was great managing the execution. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone and anticipate working with them again.

We had several companies provide estimates for building a screen porch off the back of our house. We got Ryan McWhorter's name from a neighbor who also had a porch done and was pleased with his work. Ryan was extremely helpful in making final decisions on the design and location. When we finally decided to add the porch onto the current deck, we planned to just replace the decking and use the same support structure. Ryan determined that the footers were not up to code and the deck was not attached to the house correctly. We then decided to do a full deck replacement with the porch on top. Ryan was present everyday and his crew did not change. Their work was meticulous. Ryan has a system for screening that allows individual sections to be removed if a screen needs replacement without major rework. Ryan also discovered some rotting house sheathing due to some shoddy workmanship in building the house that had the insulation visible and he repaired that also. Ryan handled all the permits and inspections and all passed without problems. We are extremely pleased with his work and would highly recommend him to anyone wanted decking or porch work.

Our renovation was just completed with McWhorter Construction and our house looks amazing! With the talent and vision of Architect Jon Riveria and the skill of McWhorter Construction with Travis, Edwardo and Alex, we have a brand new house for our family to enjoy. Barbara Galgano from BB Interiors was a big part of our renovation team as well, and the entire process went smooth and quick, but details were not forgotten. We actually miss seeing Travis everyday now that our project is complete! Great communication through out the entire renovation and we highly recommend McWhorter Construction.

Ryan McWhorter and his company McWhorter Outdoor Living turned my outdoor deck into a BEAUTIFUL Three Season Room!! Ryan worked with me to design the room, suggesting the use of EZ Breeze Windows, which are absolutely fantastic! His outstanding craftsmanship is evident from the gable ceiling to the lattice work surrounding the room! Ryan was present throughout the building process, and answered any questions I had. He was truly accommodating! His employees were true professionals in their dedication to perfection. They cleaned up daily, and when the room was completed they even planted grass where the lumber had been! Very rarely done by builders, and very impressive! I have had many, many compliments on my new room! I absolutely love my Three Season Room and have spent many hours out here since it's completion! I highly recommend Ryan McWhorter and McWhorter Outdoor Living!

Extremely happy with our covered deck. I was impressed with the attention to detail. They just took care of everything and didn’t have to think about it. I feel like everything was built well and they really thought about the best way to build things. When I brought up small things with Travis, he took care of them without any hesitation or reservations. I didn’t have to follow up or remind him. He always just handled it and did it the right way. Travis was also very friendly and knowledgeable, always humoring my questions.

We engaged Ryan and his team just before the pandemic hit and thought we had time to think it through. We interviewed several other companies, but they didn't understand the project like Ryan and his team did. They provided recommendations and advice on how to really get what we wanted. When we eventually started the build, we decided to make a last minute change that required them to stop working for about 2 months. They were very accommodating and worked with us. The PM on the team, Travis, was excellent and very responsive. We also worked with Edwin Palencia, who was the head of the construction team. He was a pleasure to work with, communicated all the details well, and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Their work was excellent, great quality. I can't say enough about Ryan and his team. The only problem is that they are in such high demand, it is next to impossible to get a hold of them. But when you do, it will be well worth it.

McWhorter Construction did an incredible job with our home renovation. Greg and his team were professional, detail oriented, hard working, dedicated and highly skilled. The quality of their work exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them.

We hired McWhorter Outdoor Living to design our entire back yard and outdoor living area. They created a photo realistic 3D image showing our home with a screen porch, deck, patio and outdoor fireplace. We absolutely loved the design, and after a few revisions hired them to complete the project. We couldn't believe how quickly they completed the work. Their team worked together like clockwork, constantly updating us on any issues and making sure we were in the loop on the project. There was no downtime at all.
The owner of the company, Ryan even worked on the project himself during key aspects. We love our new backyard, and constantly receive compliments from friends and family. We highly recommend!

We had McWhorters build a 16'x18' screened porch. Ryan was great to work with. He helped correct the design that we paid an architect for in order to save us money and to fix design flaws. His ideas were excellent and he was very patient and accommodating when we changed anything. We got several bids and Ryan's price was very competitive. We had a very tight deadline and his guys worked their tails off to get it done, did fantastic work, and were really nice guys. I highly recommend Ryan and his crew.

Greg, Alex, James and Gage from day one were professional, clean, super detailed and a pleasure to work with. This crew led by Greg is a reflection of what Ryan McWhorter has built and established at McWhorter Construction. Excellent work and a very reliable team. They did a fantastic job on our screened in porch and deck. Great addition to our home. We couldn't be happier, beyond our expectations. They knocked it out of the park!

Mcwhorter Construction does amazing work. Ryan, who is the owner is very easy to work with and his guys are the best. We had a crew headed by Greg Lee tear down our old wooden deck and build a screened in porch for us that is beautiful. The quality of the workmanship of Greg, Gage and Alex far exceeds what we imagined. Their work ethics are impeccable. At the end of each day everything was cleaned up so that our dogs could go out in the yard without fear of injury. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience of working with Ryan and his crew. We had a great experience with McWhorter Construction for a sunroom and deck addition. Ryan was very responsive and kept us up to date on the timing of everything  and adjustments when supply chain issues pushed the schedule. Travis and his crew were excellent and maintained a clean job site and went above and beyond to minimize disruption to moving around our house and allowing us to still use our kitchen where the expansion was occurring. When demo uncovered some wood rot in the structure of our house, Ryan was able quickly determine a solution and fix the problem. Ryan, Travis, and crew demonstrated utmost professionalism and care for our home throughout the course of the job. We highly recommend them and would call on them again for future projects.

Michelle and I used Jonathan Rivera Architecture and Ryan McWorter Construction to design and build a major renovation to our home. Jonathan showed us a similar project to what we were imagining for our home. Ryan was the builder for that project. We were very impressed by what we saw so we hired them but I am even more impressed by what they did together for our home.

If I could give 7 out of 5 stars, I would. Our crew was very knowledgeable and wouldn’t do anything unless it was absolutely perfect. It was so refreshing to have a crew that cared just as much about our project as we did.

Greg was our project manager. I was impressed with him from the start. He is very responsive to texts, phone calls and emails. He is also very organized and was able to keep track of every step of our project at all times. He is humble and says its the app on his phone but that is not it. He was just good of keeping track of every aspect of our project as well as several other local McWorter projects. He is also hands on and would join our crew when they needed him. Once we broke ground I can probably recall maybe 5 days when nothing was going on at our house. This is very impressive because our project was quite large and took about 10 months of work from breaking ground until the final walkthrough with Ryan.

Greg’s brother Gage was the leader of our main crew of four. Gage with James, Jesus (goes by Rungo) and Luis were the core of our project. We had some major structural changes that required the expertise of Ryan McWorter and the ideas of Architect Jonathan Rivera. Our 30 year old home had 6 exposed decorative columns holding up the ceiling of our large combined kitchen/living room. Ryan and Jonathan were able to get it down to one column with the help of massive steel beams that span the space and are mostly hidden in the ceiling. It wasn’t possible to make them completely disappear but with some cleaver trim and design they add a sophisticated look to what would otherwise be a large flat ceiling. Gage and crew took the plans and did the hard part. Making it work and making it perfect. They were meticulous in every way. They would clean up their work space at the end of everyday. They were respectful, friendly and very trustworthy. I was actually sad when we were finished because I enjoyed their company.

We also added a very large outdoor covered porch with fireplace, TV and outdoor kitchen. Since we chose to do the entire floor in bluestone we needed a floating concrete slab as an undersurface. This required full concrete basement walls with large steel beams to support the ceiling. We asked for full 8 foot ceilings underneath which basically tripled our basement storage area. I was impressed by how knowledgeable everyone was for such a project. Nothing was ever in question if it could be done. When we asked if we could make a change or do something different from our initial proposal it was never challenged . Everything was possible. A great advantage to Ryan is that he doesn’t punish the customer for such things. He priced changes like they were in the initial plan. Is he the cheapest? No. He just takes pride in his company and wants everything to be perfect for his customers. I think his prices are very fair.

Ryan also uses excellent sub contractors. A project like ours required foundation work, tree removal, grading, roofers, plumbers, electricians, brick layers, paving work, basketball hoop installers, security, audio and TV technicians, gas fitters, painters etc….. They were all professional and excellent. I kept all of their names and phone numbers and will call them when needed.

Excellent company and excellent work!! McWorther build a deck for us and came up with a great design. They gave a realistic timetable and kept to it. They exceeded all expectations. Edwin and his crew were fantastic and always went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with the product. Greg, the Project Manager, was great to work with and very responsive.

I would like to sincerely take this time to commend the team at McWhorter for the exemplary job they did building our outdoor kitchen and deck. I would also like to include Jonathan Rivera who created the architecture for this project. Team work is often spoke of casually but until you witness it from the team of Ryan, Greg, Edwin, Andy,Ericks and all the others, you cannot really understand the full heartedness of this expression. The employees truly love what they do, and it shows. The value they put in to their craftsmanship is understood by their excellence. They express their professionalism in all that they do and you can witness this by watching them together as they build and work as a team.

I wish I could say the same for all the contractors and teams I have met in the past prior to using McWhorter but I cannot. If you want a job done well, and you expect the best, then expect McWhorter to meet your needs. Seldom do I meet a team and contractor that I have only positive things to say- they are truly worthy of my praise.
