We love our new front porch built by McWhorter construction. Foreman Greg and his team were great to work with, paid close attention to detail, and did absolutely beautiful work. We're so happy with the results and would recommend them to anyone.

We just had McWhorter Construction complete our backyard deck/screened in porch and we are beyond happy with the results and the entire experience. When the owner Ryan came out we had a general idea of what we wanted. He listened to our ideas, made suggestions that we hadn’t considered, and also gave us options where we could improve existing structure rather than completely rebuild which allowed us to save some money! When we met after our initial walkthrough at his office we were so impressed and excited to see his design come to life via 3D imaging which allowed us to visualize the project and see multiple layouts and perspectives. Our project manager Greg guided us making material selections and suggestions for electrical/lighting. He managed all the subcontractors and kept our project running smoothly and on time. The day to day team led by Gage brought the vision to life. Every day, they showed up on time with a smile and worked together as a team. Their craftsmanship, precision, and communication was remarkable. They cleaned up each day before they left and worked well with other contractors that were on site. If you choose McWhorter for your next project, you will have great craftsmanship, phenomenal communication and quality people getting the job done from start to finish!

If you are looking for the best in the business, look no further. Ryan was extremely easy to work with in the design phase and provided realistic and accurate designs. He laid out a variety of options at different price points and expertly communicated the reasoning behind the prices. If you're concerned that the finished product might not look like something in their portfolio, let me tell you do not be concerned! Our project lead was Greg Lee -- Greg and his entire team are masters of their craft and their finished product shows it. Our project began at the tail end of winter and Greg made good on his promise to get us in our new porch by the first warm day. Beyond craftsmanship, Greg and his team were very respectful and professional. This is especially helpful when having a project done during COVID. We could not be happier and would definitely pursue McWhorter for any future projects we have in mind. I've already referred Ryan to several friends who are contemplating projects.

We are thrilled with the results of our deck project. Our property line had some restrictions with what we were allowed to build, and Ryan was great during the design process. He gave us drawings of the configuration options and knocked the final version out of the park.

The team was great and paid attention to the smaller details. The prior deck was rotted and the previous owner had a red paint job that also damaged a lot of the siding. Travis and his team did a great job matching and replacing what needed it. From my experience, it’s very difficult when working with contractors to find both quality and reliability. Ryan and his team were a shining example of both.

We used McWhorter Construction to install a large paver patio and deck with lighting. They did a great job. The 3D image we got when we sat down to plan and design with Ryan was awesome because we got to see exactly what the patio would look like. Ryan’s team is extremely professional. Ryan’s attention to detail is seen in the final product. Everyday when his team finished, the job site was left clean and organized. My family loves our new patio. We highly recommend them for any outdoor living needs you may have.

We recently completed an extensive renovation and expansion project with our home in Ellicott City, MD. This included almost doubling the size of our home as well as creating significant outdoor living space(s). After working with our architect, Jonathan Rivera, we contract half a dozen builders as we looked at our project. McWhorter Construction provided a competitive bid, a fair timeline and excellent communication through the process. The process started on time, timely updates were given throughout as well as an on time finish.

Prior to starting the project, it was a collaborative effort to successful develop the final plans and find some economical solutions for what we wanted to build. Once we moved to construction, the McWhorter team was amazing to work with. Again, communication throughout was excellent and the whole team, McWhorter employees and their subcontractors, were incredibly respectful to us during the project. We lived in the home for about 30% of the work, so coordination was key throughout the project.

The whole team at McWhorter from Ryan to Greg to Mark to all of their employees were awesome and I would highly recommend them for work.

After meeting with several contractors, we were most impressed with Ryan (the owner). We had a tricky design issue with a window above the future porch, and he was the only one who offered a smart solution: reduce the size of the window to properly pitch the roof. Problem solved — and the project took off from there.

The entire process was smooth. During the pre-construction meeting, Greg and Gage walked us through the plan and answered all our questions. Gage was onsite every day, kept us in the loop, and made sure everything ran like clockwork. The team showed up early, worked hard, and cleaned up daily.

The final result is stunning. We've used the porch every single day since it was finished. The craftsmanship is top-notch.
