John has built a team of hard-working, honest and talented people. They have done simple cleanups for me and also completely redesigned my backyard. I recommend them to anyone in our area that is thinking of doing work on their yard. Fair prices, personal inspections from John and a nice group of people to work with.

We have been using John's Landscape service for over 5 years for our spring and fall cleanup and weekly mowing. They do an amazing job, their staff is professional and responsive to any requests we may have.

The people of Arlington decided to ban gasoline leaf blowers. John’s Landscaping continues to use them anyway. When confronted about it they say call the police, because they know that there’s very little enforcement of the ordinance. They’ve been fined and they don’t care. Basically just thumbing their nose at us. For that reason I recommend boycotting them.

John's Landscape is the best landscaper around! They do SUCH amazing work- their planters are top notch. Dave is amazing to work with and so responsive & Alexandra is so talented. They are your go-to for your commercial or residential landscaping needs in the Boston/Massachusetts area. Highly recommend!

They are pricey and don’t always do a great job. The crews sometimes skip my place altogether and sometimes miss key aspects of my backyard that I have to continuously remind them of. Things like weed whacking along the fence or cleaning up around my pavers. When I call them about this, they do come out to fix the issues, but I feel like I shouldn’t have to constantly remind them. Next year I may just use them for select services and do the mow and blow stuff myself.

John's charged me $150 to turn on my sprinkling system in May. Sent 4 men and a truck. As soon as they left, I noticed the system wasn't working (at all) and in the back, water was running out of the bottom of 1/6 plantar boxes while 5/6 remained bone dry. (I proceeded to lose plants in those plantars to drought). Called immediately to get the problem fixed but scheduling was tight and we could never make it work. I was repeatedly billed $150 for turning on the system (which was technically turned on but didn't work. Somehow I expected that making sure it was working was part of the service call). September arrived and I asked John to just come out and shut down the system and remove the $150 charge since the service wasn't provided in a satisfactory fashion. He stated that I was wrong, system was working (???), and that he is going to take me to small claims court. There is a pattern to these reviews people. I do not recommend John's and I would give them a zero if I could.

I used John’s Landscaping last year for hardscaping, drainage, and landscaping. They did a wonderful job and came in on budget. Dave, PJ, Hugo & team were great to work with. They were dependable and detail oriented, and flexible. I mention flexibility only because I am a native gardener and wildscaper, and although this company doesn’t specialize in either, they worked with me to fulfill my vision. Couldn’t be happier with the results!

We've been with John's Landscape company for more than 5 years including spring cleaning, mulching, pruning, fall cleaning, mowing and snow removing. They are doing a good job especially pruning. I sometime talk with the team leader and he is always listen and get the job done with my requirement. If I need extra service, I email or phone them and always get answer promptly.

After having our lawn over treated with fertilizer by another company, we sought help from John’s Landscaping. We are pleased with Dave and staff on guidance provided as well as the work completed in getting our front and back lawn back to normal. We have worked with John’s Landscaping for a number of years: sod and stone wall. Always professionally handled!

John's Landscaping team did a great job designing and installing my backyard patio last year. The team worked hard and were very efficient and let the properly clean. They were also very easy to communicate with.

We rely on John's for all of our landscaping solutions and maintenance. They do an excellent job every year with leaf cleanup, bush and hedge trimming. They provided a very good -"dog-proof" (pet turf/solution} for our back yard. I don't know what we would do without them!

We used John’s for a large design/install landscaping project. We generally had a good experience with their landscaping designer and project manager. However, we had a bad experience with how they dealt with the charges for the irrigation work, which was supposed to be billed on a “time and materials” basis. No detailed breakdown of the time and material charges was provided with the final invoice and we were shocked at the total cost. We spent 2 months going back-and-forth with John’s trying to understand the charges, and ended up getting shifting information on the materials and labor breakdown. The difficulty and delay we experienced getting clarity on the basis for the bill made us wonder whether John’s had actually billed us on a flat-rate project basis and was just backing into time and materials justification after the fact. In the end, John’s adjusted the bill to account for to some, but not all of our concerns. Even with these adjustments, the lack of transparency and handling of our concerns caused us to lose trust in this company and is the reason for this review.

We have been using John's Landscaping Service for over 9 years now. They do an amazing job for our 3-unit condo building. Our yard alway looks great and their snow removal services are excellent. We highly recommend!

We have used John's Landscaping for years for both landscaping services and snow removal. One of the most important requirements for us is reliability. John's has always shown up as scheduled for both services, and they always do a thorough job. Once or twice we had a special request and they were very accommodating. We highly recommend them!

We hire John's Landscape Service to do our fall and spring clean-up every year. We live in an established neighborhood with lots of mature trees. The service is excellent value for money. For fall clean-up they come 2 or 3 times to pick up the leaves depending on weather -- if we do it ourselves it's probably 20-30 man hours. In the spring, they they do another sweep, cleaning up all the beds and removing the last of the leaves and picking up any branches that have fallen during the winter. They also refresh the mulch, if needed. Having John's Landscape Service do the clean-up work allows us to spend our time tending plants and mowing, which are the activities we prefer and the yard looks great. We get many compliments.

Spring has arrived and so have my new landscapers!
So very pleased with the mulching of my garden beds, bringing a fresh start to a new season. I returned home to a perfectly done job. I'm very content as a new customer and as such truly appreciate John's Landscape services so very early in the season when it was most needed. I look forward to their return to fertilze my perennial shrubs and other services in the future.

We have engaged John's service for several years to do spring and fall clean-ups as well as lawn cutting. We like to garden but need the extra help for these chores I once did 40 years ago here. In addition, John's rebuilt stairs with excellent brick work several years ago. I was most impressed this spring when the crew noticed a garage full of bags filled with small tree debris we had collected from this terrible winter windstorms and had intended to put for town collection. Without pointing these bags out, John's Landscaping took them all away. I was impressed with the initiative shown. I also want to note that the office is very responsive.

Someone from John's plowed our street today, and he went above and beyond. I live at the bottom of a hill, at the end of the street, and we always get all the snow piled in front of our driveway.

This driver went meticulously through and ensured that the driveways were clear, driving back and forth repeatedly to prevent us from having to re-shovel.

I am blown away - thank you plow driver! We'll definitely look to John's in the future, if this is the level of care they take on tasks.
