Do not waste your time with this company. They schedule you a time but like others have said, no one ever shows up. They don’t care and unless you want to wait on hold for an hour you won’t get help anyways.

I initially used this service as my lawn more broke didn’t want to get a new one. My first initial visit Jared was on time cut and cleaned up my whole yard and even when I messaged him a few things he took care of those as well very responsive and professional would highly recommend

I never believed this happened! they sent me two old pictures and showed they completed the mowing service!!! in fact they never show up. we just moved in, there are a lot of differences between the old pictures and current view.

They scheduled an appointment with me after receiving all of my information. I then received the following email, "Unfortunately, the demand for lawn care service in your area is high at this time and we can’t find a crew fit for your needs." I've found out that several others have had the same experience.

I scheduled 2 services for my property, and on the date they cancelled my services and never communicated it to me. I just wasted my time. Never try it again.

The LawnStarter service has been wonderful! Very convenient to sign up and manage ongoing yard work. Peter's work done has been great and at a good price!

I booked three weeks in advance to ensure I had mowing while traveling for a month, and they cancelled on me the morning that service was due - leaving me scrambling to try and find a provider who had avail to cut my lawn in the middle of prime lawn care season.

LawnStarter service is very convenient and the app is easy to follow. Aaron has provided lawn care on two occasions according to schedule. The lawn looks good. Aaron is professional, courteous and knowledgeable about lawn care. Keep up the great work.

The crew assigned to my property canceled last minute for the first seasonal mowing. The Lawn Starter sent email saying they would find replacement right away. Not nothing happened.

Customer service line never goes through. If you need help right away, I am not sure if you can get it.

Why did I waste 30+ minutes on the phone, discussing what kind of yard I have, what kind of service I wanted & provided credit card information for nothing?

Poor quality, scheduling in advance is pointless because the crew will just not show up - sometimes up to a full 1-2 weeks after schedule. Customer service is essentially nonexistent. Just find someone local, they’ll do a better job

Strongly recommend you do not use this service. It was very unreliable and is essentially impossible to cancel, with very poor communication and systems.

LawnStarter engages in predatory billing practices and charged my elderly mother in law hundreds of dollars for services which they never rendered. We will be reporting them to the state attorney's office.

Terrible service - DO NOT USE. UNRELIABLE. Quick to sign you a contract to services that fail to deliver or deliver late (after which your grass grows above 6 inches to charge you even more!). Disconnect between customer representatives and the crew that actually perform the work (the latter is more important however they cannot deliver). Website has serious issue. Better off finding a pro with no middlemen to sell.

They mowed the lawn as asked. However, I found the app impossible to use. I arranged for service on the phone, but then the only way to use the app was to begin by requesting service, which I had already done. I also was not allowed to request lawn mowing over a specific period of time. I had to wait until the minimum number of three mows had already happened, and only then could I cancel future service. It felt unwieldy and inconvenient. It probably would have been less hassle to hire a handy man to mow the lawn just a couple of times.

My family contacted LawnStarter on Tuesday, May 2nd. They spoke with my mother and went over pricing and scheduling. We were told over the phone someone would come out Thursday, May 4th. When the app was downloaded, and everything was setup, it said they were coming Friday, May 5th. No big deal. On Wednesday, May 3rd, we get a message asking if they can come that day. A crew shows up, gets out of the truck, crosses the street, but then leaves without working. LawnStarter said they’d be back between Friday, May 5th and Monday, May 8th. By the end of the day Monday, May 8th, we were pretty frustrated that we hadn’t heard anything, no crew had shown up, and the grass was getting quite overgrown. My mother contacts them, obviously frustrated, and they say they’ll have a crew out within 48 hours and they’re not sure what happened to the crew they assigned or why they didn’t show. 48 hours brings us to the end of the day Wednesday, May 10th. It’s now Thursday, May 11th, no one has come out, and we have a very overgrown lawn after all the rain. Absolutely do not recommend this place. They say you get $30 off your next service if you leave them a 5 star review. I feel like that explains the 5 star reviews. If the service is that good, you don’t need to offer incentive for a good rating. Find a local landscaper who will do the job on time and communicate scheduling and issues.
