Constraction reviews in Canton, Massachusetts

I recently had the waterline to my home replaced by Ragusa Companies LLC. The crew were very professional. They arrived on time, and the work was done within the quoted estimate. The technical skills of the crew, and the quality of their workmanship was amazing. They had to dig up a portion of my front lawn and driveway, removed a number of large shrubs in order to access the pipes to the waterline. Upon completion the lawn was reseeded, the shrubs were replanted and mulched, and the driveway had a new portion of asphalt applied and then sealed. I am very happy and satisfied with the work of Ragusa Companies LLC and would not hesitate to use them again.

Jake Ragusa and his crewman should be your first call for demolition and removal. They did an amazing job removing our 3 ft deep pure concrete front steps. They are professional, highly knowledgeable, efficient, and provide reasonable quotes. We recommend them to anyone who is looking for excavation, demolition, and/or removal services. Thank you again!

Needed water main from street to foundation replaced. We called 5pm Wednesday evening, they were onsite and working the next day. We had our water back on within a few hours. Crew was very well organized, fast, and considerate. Price was very reasonable. Just an overall great experience.

Jake and his team came and removed our old in-ground pool and filled it within 3 days. Very pleasant to work with, exceeded expectations in price and timing. I was so pleased I called him back the next week to spread top-soil across the rest of my half-acre lot, was done in 2 days. 10/10 would recommend!

I used Ragusa Companies to clear the perimeter of my 4.5 acre property. It borders on woods and the perimeter had become filled with dead and falling trees, wild vines, and thorny brush. Jake did an excellent job clearing the requested areas. He was very careful to meet and discuss my needs and to figure out the most economical approach. He was also very conscientious about where to place any residual debris. The results far exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Jake

I am very satisfied with the work Jake and his team did for my house. We needed to have the old water supply line replaced from the street to the house. The old line was underneath three AC compressors. Jake paid three visits to do measurements and investigation. He came up with a plan without moving the compressors. They finished the job half a day. Jake is easy and pleasant to work with. I am happy to give his team five stars!

The team at Capital has been truly wonderful to work with. Jim Sakkos helped educate me on my different options, and worked with me to find one that suited my budget and taste. The vinyl siding was done quickly, the team was polite and tidy, and my house looks amazing now.

Had a planned Saturday appointment with Michael. After being late with no call I called into the company. Eventually Michael showed up with no excuse why late with no call to let me know. He was here over two hours mostly giving the history of the company. What I was asking for was a replacement stand up shower that was 30 by 30.
The estimate came to be $29,000!!
After Michael leaves I received a message from Jeff saying that
“ Due to a family emergency, Michael would not be coming”
I do not feel comfortable with dishonesty . I also do not feel comfortable with the price when the unit I was having replaced was tiny.

I had James Harden shingles installed on the gable end of my house above a porch roof. The crew was very professional and did an outstanding job. They were met with challenges such as a layer of snow, but this did not deter them from their work. Job was completed in 3 days, and I could not be happier with the results. This is the third project that Capital Construction has done for me, and I could not be happier with the results. I was a builder back in the 1970s and I know quality, and this is quality work.

I had two skylights and one bay window replaced. The quality of the work was very good, but the timelines and communication were poor. Original estimate for bay window was it would be ready for install in 6-8 weeks. Ended up being over 4 months. I had a hard time getting updates. No one seemed to step up and take responsibility. Working with the actual installers was fine and they were very professional. The skylights were installed on time and look nice, but I wasn't given a hand crank to open them right away. I was told it would be dropped off at my house within a couple of days. After repeated emails, and after being told it was dropped off (clearly wasn't), I got it about a month later. 4 days after the bay window was installed, I got an email from the finance head saying the project was about to begin and I was given the full cost even though I had already paid a good chunk of a deposit. I had to tell her the project was already completed and she admitted the final cost was 5K less than in the email. The next day, the supposed project manager sent an email saying the project was about to start and then 8 minutes later said it was complete and thanks for my business. Too many people involved and nobody talking to each other. They claimed they are all about customer service during the sales pitch, but that seemed to be the biggest problem in my experience.

I had a great Experiance with capital construction.they were very professional and thorough in the process of getting a roof estimate.we had multiple options of products and found one that fit our budget.
The crew did an amazing job and we are super happy with the way it came out . -
I couldn't be happier with Capital Construction! Their team was professional, efficient, and did an outstanding job on my new roof. The quality of their work is top-notch, and they left my property spotless. Highly recommend!

From initial sales contact, agreement, permitting, project management, to install and clean up they attended to every aspect of my relatively small but difficult location project. Every contact was handled professionally and as if it were one of Capital's major customers! 15 to 26 degree plus snow and wind at job site didn't hinder the crew. The follow up and concern demonstrated is unparalleled and rare in today's world. Thank you Capital!

I normally don't write reviews but I would like others to be spared what I went through. I needed a new roof. Just making the appointment was a disappointing process. The rep kept pushing me about whether my husband would be there. None of his business. The "pitch" was over the top. The salesperson was in my backyard selling me in the most condescending way. He assumed I knew nothing about roofing. Let me be clear: this company does not have a different "process" or "formula" than any other company. After 90 minutes he left and assured me I would have his estimate the next day, A week went by and after numerous phone calls I was put in touch with a manager who went looking for the salesperson's notes. It turns out the salesperson was fired. Finally, I was sent a proposal that was $13,000.00 more than the next highest who is a premier, highly regarded, and not an inexpensive roofer in the Boston area,
This company is not ethical. Buyer, please beware. -
I saw an ad on tv November 28th, Black Friday, featuring Jacuzzi tubs/showers remodels. My tub is becoming hazardous to me due to my age so I decided to book an appointment to discuss my options as well as if it would be a Financial hit to my budget. They sent the most sweetest man to my door, Josh. He measured everything out in my bathroom. Then, went over all the pricing with me. To my surprise, it was something I could swing in my budget. I was the last appointment Josh had and he really took the time to answer all my questions, and I had a lot of questions. Thank you Josh for everything.
PS He still answers any questions I have while waiting for my remodel to take place. -
I did not hire Capital Construction for my roof. They wanted 23k. I got 3 other quotes all of them between 11k and 15k. I won't slander them. It's your job as a home owner to do your researching. These guy almost took me a for a ride.

When we decided to get siding, we had planned on meeting with a few contractors for bids. I am very glad we didn't. Capital's sales team and presentation was very compelling, but what really really sold us was the samples of their product and that of the other popular brands.
The quality of the Capital product was significantly better. They also covered the scope of the project more thoroughly than other companies we had met with in years prior. They were also able to assist with additional financing as we were only prepared to spend a third up front.
The installation process was completed in a reasonable timeline and very professional done. We got the added surprise that besides the usual Tyvech type sheeting, they also installed an additional layer of insulation before putting up the siding. I am looking forward to winter this year.
Overall I would say we had a good experience. There were a couple of hiccups here and there, a couple of small extra out of pocket costs that were from our side, as well as a couple of miscommunications, but nothing to get into detail about as they were very minor. -
Josh Shea came out to my house to givev me an estimate for a bathroom remodeling that a previous contractor messed up. I had Jacuzzi Bath and remodeling install a beautiful walk-in shower in my upstairs bathroom and was so impressed with them i called them to take a look at my 1st floor bathroom. Josh was professional, easy to talk to and answered all my concerns. This is truly a great company with outstanding individuals working for them. And Josh was the best!!!

We had a wonderful experience working with Capital Construction in June 2024. The reason we chose them is because they worked on our house back in 2007. We considered the fact that the company is still around and going strong is a very good sign. For our latest home improvement project, the company has been very professional in every step of the way. Our project included replacement of the entire roof, replacement of all gutters, replacement of fascia boards wherever necessary, and repair or replacement of rafters of the house addition. Sales consultant Jim Sakkos came and gave us an overview in the first meeting. In the second meeting, all the measurements were already available for discussion. We were impressed by their technological innovation in obtaining all the data. It was an intense process to finalize the contract and financing, but all parties were respectful and satisfactory. Scheduling of the project and obtaining permits were also professionally done within a short period of time. Project Manager Jeremy Boutin was a knowledgeable expert on what he was doing, and he is also a responsible individual. Through our conversations and interactions, I could tell that Jeremy was a trustworthy person to work with. Overall, it was a great experience working with Capital Construction. My wife and I were glad that we chose Capital Construction for our home improvement project.

The craftsmanship and quality of the work is phenomenal. The extra effort these men did during freezing cold weather was commendable. We witnessed them being highly focused, detail oriented, and a meticulous manner in which they worked. We were very impressed by their teamwork and it was awesome to watch. Plus, they consistently asked us about the design of their work so that we would be satisfied with the finished product. We would definitely recommend these men from Capital Construction to all our friends and relatives.
