Constraction reviews in Canton, Massachusetts

The job done by Capital Construction went above and beyond! All our expectations were met and exceeded. The crew was excellent and fastidious with clean up at the end of the day. I would highly recommend!
-
The first team did a very good job, but they left materials nails, and other other things laying all around they didn’t clean up after themselves. They left wires hanging the second team did a better job and cleaned up what the first team did not do.

They were very professional. It started with the sales representative Cam who was great to work with and was knowledgeable. The project manager Anthony Andreozzi was the best. He answered any questions I had and let me know exactly what to expect. They kept in contact with me throughout the project at every stage. The project came out like I expected. We did not have any issues and it went smoothly.

We couldn't be happier with the quality and look of our new roof! From start to finish, the team was incredibly professional, punctual, and transparent about the entire process. They took the time to answer all our questions and walked us through the different material options, helping us choose the best fit for our home.
The craftsmanship is impeccable; our roof looks fantastic and adds a whole new level of curb appeal. They completed the job on time and left our property spotless, which was a huge plus. We highly recommend this company to anyone looking for top-quality work and a worry-free experience. Excellent job! -
Bruno is very knowledgeable and clearly pointed out the correct materials and my wife and he came up with the perfect color scheme. The cost was high but we were willing to pay for a top quality job and the team came through for us. Very impressed with the results.

We hired Capitol Construction to replace the windows in our 3rd floor “attic” we are renovating. They were on the highest price from the 4 quotes we received but we went with them because they also were going to be able to do the trim on the outside as well. During the quoting phase and when they came out to measure, we were very clear one of the windows was going to need to meet Massachusetts egress requirements as we were turning the room into a bedroom. The window frame would need to be adjusted to account for the larger window. When they come to install the windows, I measure the one going into the new bedroom and it is too small to count as an egress window. I informed the project manager (not on site). They were understanding and did make arrangements for the new larger window to be made and installed. However, it was two months before they were able to make a new one and come back out and install it. We were having spray foam insulation work done and had to wait for the new window to be installed before we could have them come out. Another issue was that when the team first installed the windows, they did not have the exterior trim on their work order so did not do it. I also talked to Capitol Construction and they confirmed it should have been completed. I inquired what a deduction would be in leu of having the work done on September 9th. I received no response on how much the deduction would be until I followed up with them on October 6th. They informed me that they had issued me a check (without me confirming I wanted the deduction as I did not know how much it was going to be) for $1,600. When the Check arrived, it was only for $1,400. I inquired about the discrepancy and received no response. I’ve asked now 3 times over a month and still no response. Communication with them is terrible.
I would go elsewhere for window replacement. -
Capital's expertise and customer focus was exceptional from our 1st meeting - project evaluation, specing and execution. They did a terrific job removing and replacing our 3 decker multi-family home with two separate structures (front and side) of stairs, decks and porches competently and communicating successfully with the owner and the tenants throughout this large, complex project. It was a pleasure to work with the entire team.

We had the wonderful experience of having Capital Construction reside our home with Hardie Board in March. The old wood siding had not been kept up and we knew we would need to address it soon, however, we were intimidated by the scale and unknown of the project. The Capital Construction team was informative, not pushy and shared the same passion for our vision for our home.
Our project manager, Jay, was personable, communicative with us, and was transparent about possible things that could emerge with the lack of upkeep, so we felt informed in making decisions throughout the process.
Eddie and his crew were beyond friendly and impressed us daily with their work ethic. I left for work the morning they started and returned to have find them already having removed all of the old siding in one day. We were informed the project could take 2-3 weeks and they managed to complete it in 6 work days, which blew us away. Eddie also worked with us in developing a custom hay door as part of our vision.
We continue to see people slow down and look at the home even months later and we often get compliments from our neighbors. The best feedback came from our next door neighbor who grew up in the home when he walked over and mentioned "I never imagined it could be so beautiful". The pictures speak for themselves. Thank you Capital Construction for helping make the home of our dreams. -
Capital is not the cheapest, nor most expensive. Excellent work crew did a fast and detailed job siding my 1950s ranch. Jeremy did outstanding communication and organizing work. Every question answered promptly. This firm made an appreciable effort to satisfy my concerns and deliver on the contract. Mike was flexible and helped ease the decision to go with Capital, which was the most I'd every spent on a housing repair. The office communicated well. You get what you pay for. I'm well satisfied with this project.

I was extremely pleased with the workmanship on the new deck. All personnel were very professional and skillful. I am not a carpenter, but I do woodworking (furniture and toys) so I know about keeping joints square and level. I witnessed this build crew keeping every joint square and level, as if they were building their own deck. This build crew deserves special recognition. I thank them for the skills they put into my deck. I looks great!!!!!!

Project leaders worked with me regarding events during residing and were very helpful and attentive. The siding team did a superior job and the result is beautiful. the team cleaned up at close of work daily. the kept me appraised of anything that I needed to know. I have never had a better crew work on my house or a better finished product.

We had an amazing experience with Capital Construction! The Project Manager Anthony Andreozzi was so kind & professional and our Sales Consultant Joshua Hart was very patient and answered all of our questions without hesitation. Both Anthony & Josh were fantastic to work with & I am glad we were paired up with them! We originally thought this project would take 2-3 weeks and the crew finished in 3 days!!!! We are so in love with the color - Laguana Blue and will certainly be connecting with Capital again when we need to do with windows.
Thank you so much to the crew for their hard work - they even came on a Saturday to get this project done.
10/1 would recommend! -
I am beyond impressed and so happy with the work Capital Construction did on my home. The first person I met was Paul. The patience and time he took to show me what kind of work Capital Construction does and what they can provide for me with re-siding my home made me feel 100% confident in choosing them for the job and I am so glad I did! Jay was amazing! He went above and beyond! He was always available, knowledgeable, communicative, and overall, a genuinely nice guy! He is very trustworthy and took the time to explain the process and steps on the renovations on my home! Eduardo and his team are incredibly talented! The work they did on my house is beyond amazing! They are very skilled at what they do and were very meticulous throughout the project! I cannot express how grateful I am for the entire Capital Construction team! I highly recommend this company! If you are looking to renovate and do some re-siding on your home, do not waste your time looking anywhere else! Trust me! This is as good as it gets!

They get 2 stars because so far we love our deck.
However, that's where the positivity ends. Overall, we chose Capital Construction since we perceived them to be reputable, but several items in hindsight have left me feeling regret for having used them.
First, they no-showed our initial meeting for a quote. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled that meeting to two days before the end of the month and squeezed us with specials that "expire at the end of the month". The sales rep offered a small discount as a make good for this, so we proceed with the project.
The deck, as designed by the sales rep (who claimed to be an expert), was meant to be built as a free-standing deck that would then be lashed to the house. Brian, our expert, said that this would be the way that he would build it if he was building at his own house. This was to include 6 footings.
After the old deck was demolished, the subcontractor (oh, I forgot to mention that they used subcontractors for every job but claim that all of their workers are Capital Construction employees. More lies. I specifically asked if they use subs and they said no) dug 5 footings on the outside edge of the deck, which was not to the plan we agreed to.
When I pointed this out to the supervisor, he said that he never heard anything about the original plan (deflection). When I reached out to my sales expert to express my concern, he claimed that an engineer had changed the plans (deflection). The truth is that they never sent out an engineer to inspect the job and they never sent me revised job plans. Essentially, since the holes were dug, they refused to build to plan that they originally set out and I basically had to go with their current plan (which again, I never signed off on). They did, however, agree to provide a credit for the extra footing that was not installed.
I also watched the Subcontractor supervisor take the box of color match Trex fasteners from the job site after construction was completed. These were materials that I PAID FOR, that he essentially stole. If I wasn't home and confronted him, he would have took the rest of the extra materials too. Again, these are MY materials since I paid for them. He had no right to take the fasteners, let alone anything else.
Great work if you're willing to jump through hoops, but buyer beware, they'll take advantage of you and steal your building materials if you let them. -
From the beginning, our experience with Capital Construction has been even better than our salesman Matt said it was going to be. Matt came to our home promptly, which I appreciate, and spent the whole afternoon explaining everything about the company and the product we chose, "James Hardy," as well as answering all our questions in language that both my wife and I could understand.
Secondly we met Anthony. Anthony was just as accommodating as Matt was. My wife and I both felt very comfortable working with him. Anthony was our project manager. Through out the project he would touch base with us to make sure everything was going well. Towards the end of our project I had a little misunderstanding with him. I thought the project was done and when I walked around and inspected the whole job there were a half dozen things I was not 100% satisfied with. When I contacted Anthony, he was so calm and confident that they could take care of everything that it really put me at ease. The very next day, Anthony and Lucas were at the house early in the morning. After showing them the issues they worked all day to address all of them. During this whole process, Lucas and his partner worked unbelievably hard. They started early and worked late through snow and temps in the 20's. I really have an amazing respect for what they did and how well they did it given the circumstances.
All in all, between Matt, Anthony, Lucas and all the friendly women we dealt with over the phone from the office , Capital Construction get sour 100% satisfaction for sure.
Thanks for everything!!
