I am very happy with the work Vespa Electric did in my home replacing an old fuse panel with a new breaker system and wiring. The workers were very friendly and professional I will gladly use them again.

Great company to work with. Older home with older wiring so it was an extensive job. Very professional and kept me informed throughout the project if there were any issues. Would definitely recommend them.

First time I used them & I could not have been happier. Everyone I dealt with from scheduling with Eric - to Phil & Tim doing the work were friendly, Professional and very neat. Took care of my laundry list of electrical repairs. BTW - no relation - just a coincidence on the last name!

I am extremely particular and Vespa Electric is like pushing the easy button on difficult work.

Vespa (Dan) removed knob and tube completing a full rewire of my home attic to basement. The panel is labeled, the house is clean and the cuts made are very small and neat. The formal Livingroom with irreplaceable old (and awesome) wallpaper was completely rewired only cutting openings for the new outlets.

These guys are SMART and detailed.

- They placed shields over wire crossing structural members to protect against someone putting a screw through a wire.
- They tied in the power feed on antique wall sconces with a pull string to the switch box so that I could install a switch in the future without pulling new wire.
- Even in the basement they pulled wire through the old horse hair ceilings so you don't see them and removed all the useless dead stuff that had collected over the past 100 years.

It's all in the detail. My family was away during the work and I got called with any questions, texted updates and given suggestions when they thought I might prefer something different than the plan made ahead of the job start.

The work started and finished the days they said they would.

We have used John and his sons for every electrical job we've needed since moving to our home 6 years ago. Whether it's been for major work like updating the main electrical service or smaller jobs like an outdoor outlet, we are consistently pleased with the friendliness and professionalism of the Vespas. We would never use anyone else!

I've had 3 great experiences working with Phil. Very knowledgeable, willing to explain / teach when I ask questions, and above all I trust him to do the job the right way. They're not the cheapest electrical contractor out there, but every time they're in our 1930s home, they catch and fix old work that wasn't done the right way over the years and it's also a great family-run business.

I highly recommend this business! So pleased with all their solutions for electrical issues in this 130-year-old house. Very professional team, excellent results. Pleasant crew that kept me informed about progress and details - and cleaned up as they worked. They're definitely my first choice if/when anything else electrical comes up!

We have worked several times with John Vespa and they always do great work. Their team is the best - responsive, timely, and professional. They have done a few different projects throughout our home and will continue to work with them on others.

John and Dan replaced the service cable and upgraded the electrical as well as installed a light fixture. They arrived exactly on time. Communication during the job was very good as they kept me updated. When the job was finished, they took me through all the work that was done. Everything looks great and was more clean than they found it. I would definitely recommend them.

I can't come up with enough superlatives to describe the quality and service offered by John Vespa and his sons. My condo building just upgraded to 400 amp service to support the ongoing electrification of our building systems. I coordinated the process, managing the schedule for three families with MassSave inspections, multiple bids and contractors, HEAT loan timelines, and all the rest. From the moment John came to our building the difference from the other companies was obvious: he spent an hour with me asking questions about our five year building electrification plan, explaining how our existing service was routed, teaching me how to read an electrical diagram, and taking extensive notes. Within 48 hours he gave me ballpark quotes for three different levels of upgrade, then patiently answered our newbie questions for (literally) weeks. When we finally chose a direction and he bid the full job, it was a full 40% cheaper than other companies because he had figured out a way to reuse some of our existing metering and safely manage the new incoming amperage without digging up our front yard or taking a jackhammer to the basement floor (!). We were slow because of coordinating MassSave requirements (wiring inspection! whole home insulation! cleaning up after whole home insulation!) for three households, but by the time we were ready to move forward we got on the schedule within three weeks and the job was completed in just five days. Everyone we've interacted with in the company has been unfailingly polite and equally willing to answer ignorant questions with exactly the right amount of detail and grace. They've earned a lifetime of our business.

Incredible work by John and Dan. Compared to others I got quotes from, Vespa was the most affordable, communicative, and helpful in determining what I needed to outfit my home wood shop. Completed the entire job in a half day (others said it would take a week to do) and not a single spec of trash or dust left behind. Will 100% work with Vespa again for future needs.

I reached out to the Vespa team when our main breaker started to trip with our free standing AC Unit and our dryer back at the end of August. Eric responded to my inquiry, answered all my questions, and offered an on-call type service (where they would fit me in as time slots became available) or a scheduled service with a date a bit further out. Since we were fine not running the problem appliances, we scheduled a hard time a few weeks out.

Then we used the dryer (what could go wrong?) - the main tripped and would not go back to the on position. I emailed that night, went to bed and when I woke up he had responded that someone could come by within the hour. John arrived, diagnosed the issue, managed to implement a solution while a replacement main was sourced for our installation. We still had our appointment set so we figured at that time we would have the replacement breaker installed.

Fast forward what felt like less than a week and Eric had the component and a tech in the area if I wanted to get everything taken care of ahead of schedule. Dan and Shane were at my door within the hour, did the replacement, and were on their way.

Everyone I interacted with from John Vespa Electrical Contracting was professional, efficient, and willing to answer my questions as I learned about our breakers. We'll absolutely be keeping John and his team in mind as we need electrical work in the future and will be recommending to others in the area as needs arise.

They ran power to my shed, and did a great job and were super easy to work with.

Months later I went to hook up the mini split they ran power for and it turns out the disconnect box they installed didn’t come with the required fuses, which was a bit frustrating to figure out myself.

Overall a positive experience though for sure.

This is a fantastic company- every aspect of communication and on site work was excellent. We had to upgrade about half of our house from the original knob and tube wiring. John Vespa came over and he explained everything that needed doing and other things that were optional. All scheduling was excellent- completely honest, on time and thorough. They worked very hard for nearly a week and I think the pricing was very reasonable. Phil and his assistant were working all day and left the house very clean- Phil answered all of our questions and was clear about all the options we had for placement of fixtures and outlets. I give this company my highest recommendation- what a pleasure.
