The best tree service we have ever had. Quick, clean, efficient, and reasonable. And it wasn’t easy. They took down two 100 foot white pine trees next to our house and didn’t leave a trace. we recommend them highly.

Cutler Evans recently did some complicated pruning of our very large maple tree in a very tight urban spot in Brookline Village. Everything had to get roped down a lot of tree, climbing and carrying of branches and brush up to their chipper. They really took the time to be careful of our place and our neighbors. Everything was clearly laid out and just like they had said in their plan, they followed through. Probably one of the better tree experiences I’ve had over the years. I think these guys are probably the best in class at this point.

Cutler Evans just removed two large trees from my elderly mother’s property, expertly avoiding house, wires, and healthy plantings. The team was outstanding: professional, highly capable, courteous, on time, ahead of schedule, and left the site spotless. It was not our first experience with the team. They made a great impression on a smaller job, pruning over-grown bushes, dead branches, and removing vines … so we came back for more. Highly recommend this team from top to bottom. They know what they’re doing and know how to treat the customer.

Nevin and the team did an amazing job. Consulted with us on the options for our project, was efficient, friendly and cost effective! Project was scheduled quickly and executed perfectly. Couldn’t have asked for more. Nevin really knows the woods and conservation, he was happy to hear that I didn’t just want to trash the wood or burn it and was happy to follow my thoughts on what to do with the timber and cut accordingly. Clean up was great too. Can’t recommend this team enough!

Our property has a large number of mature trees and hadn’t had any tree service in over 20 years. The scope was significant—removing many trees and fully pruning the rest, easily 30–50 trees in total—and they did it while working through roughly 18 inches of snow on the ground.

From the start, communication was excellent. They took the time to walk the property, explain what access they would need, and clearly describe what they planned to do and why. It genuinely felt like they were approaching the job with the same care they would use on their own home.

The work ethic was remarkable. They worked straight through the day, often into darkness, and everything they did looked difficult, dangerous, and impressive. Despite the scale of the job, they were thoughtful and kind throughout—at one point stopping to play with our dogs when I accidentally let them out, and on another day bringing our mail and empty trash cans up a long, steep, snowy driveway without being asked.

When they finished, the results were better than we expected. The property already feels brighter and tidier, and I can’t wait to see how it looks in the spring. The pricing was clear and transparent, and they were open about what had been done and what remained.

I honestly can’t imagine a better experience. I don’t know if they’re the cheapest, but they clearly care deeply about their work, and that matters. I would recommend Dover Country Trees without hesitation.

You may think tree removal is a service you can choose from many, and you will get more or less the same service from everyone. Nevin and his team were spectacular and easy to work with from the get-go. The quote process was easy, and the options were well described and detailed. They didn't push for any additional service I didn't need. They communicated in advance and confirmed exactly when they would show up, weren't late, and completed the work safely and efficiently. I asked to keep the logs to myself, so they even cut them to the sizes I wanted, piled them up neatly, and cleaned up any debris left on the ground.
The entire process took much less time than expected, and I was asked at the end if I needed anything else, rather than just finishing and leaving asap.
Since tree removal can be dangerous or a risk to your house and property, you need a trustworthy team to do the job for you. Highly recommend.

I was thoroughly impressed with the actual tech. They were very respectful and professional when they told me that the quote I was given over the phone was not accurate based on what they were told. The person who I spoke to over the phone was more worried about selling their deal than paying attention to what we were asking for. If we could have written a check, it wouldn't have been a problem. We were told we could only pay with a credit card, cash, or vendor. We're on a tight budget and we were told the wrong quote. We won't be calling again.

I can only share my personal experience, but Benjamin is outstanding! He paid close attention to the specifics I emphasized as significant, he was friendly and charismatic, and in the end, he did a stellar job. If I had the ability to rate him an 11, I would!
