Ok for mowing but terrible on edging, and maintenance. They use large ride on mowers , do tight turns digging up the lawns. Ride over edges flattening what they are supposed to maintain. Employees are not trained!!

If dumpsters can be nice these are them. In great shape and love how the whole back side opens up. Also always on time with deliveries and pickups. Cleaning out a house and garage and have already filled up 4 of these.

I can't say enough about this company. Trish gave great advice and guidance. Will was professional and was very respectful of an operating business. The finished product was far more then I expected. Great Job!!

This company is fantastic. They remodeled our front step with granite and brick pavers. Great Project Management from Trish and the 3 man crew was fantastic. I highly recommend this company.

Had scheduled an appointment for an estimate on getting work done. No one bothered to show up.(Update). Someone from Smitherz did end up calling me after this review and did say they wrote down come by anytime which was not what we discussed when the appointment was booked. So not only did they come to do an estimate with only basic knowledge of what I wanted done but wasted my time by having me wait for someone who wasn't even coming by at the time we discussed.

Fair pricing but unfortunately the dumpster left a significant rust stain on my driveway due to the heavy rains and the age of the dumpster and the rust on the bottom of it. Tried to power-wash it off and also tried to use CLR twice and it wouldn't come off. I asked the owner to reimburse me $35 for the cleaner and time trying to remove it and they claim no responsibility and it's not their problem. Good enough company but poor customer service and response to the issue.

Don't know who hired this company to fix what was torn up in people's yard in Randolph Ma... caught them dumping huge rocks on property line... when confronted the worker said it was the property of the house they were working on...I informed him that it wasn't...I also said I didn't want them there because it was an eye sore...they ignored me.

I feel that they should have just hauled them away instead of trying to hide them

I give this company 10 stars for how quickly they were to contact and work to resolved the problem above. They're on site crew manager, Jim, came over within 2 hours of initial work\complaint...he brought his crew back to fix the issues I raised.

Smitherz did a fantastic job repairing my yard after I had a gas line moved. by Eversource. There was so much damage to the yard with lots a divots and ruts from the backhoe and equipment but after Jim and his crew were finished with a re-loam and hydroseed, I'm thrilled with the results. Jim was great to work with, he scoped out the job then called me to let me know when they'd be there. They came on time and got right to work. I'm looking forward to having seeing the final results! A big thanks to Jim, his team and Smitherz Landscaping. Highly recommended!

I should have submitted a review 2 years ago when we first had Smitherz come to do some hardscaping and landscaping, so this review covers that and the work done this month.

2023: We brought in Smitherz to do hardscaping and landscaping work on our back yard after seeing what a great job they did to loam and seed areas where Eversource had to dig up to install our natural gas line.

The hardscaping needed to be done after we had disastrous results from another one-person "business" on the South Shore that subcontracted all the work. I will not name this business, but I am happy to share my experience, which is supported by photos of the terrible results, if I'm contacted. Smitherz had to rebuild three retaining walls and repositioning downspout drainage pipes to correct the drainage pitch.

Landscaping: we decided to regrade our backyard, which meant the removal of old grass and adding of loam and hydroseed. Again, Smitherz did a wonderful and professional job, even coming back to spread fertilizer over the new sprouting grass.

2025: Brought in Smitherz to remove our old front lawn that was discolored and yellow, caused by lawn grubs, old thatch, and overseeding with different grass types. Again, they did a superb and professional job taking care to clean up. We couldn't have asked for better service.

Throughout the years, I have found Josh and Trish to be responsive to emails, and Will and his team are excellent in carrying out the work.

Smitherz definitely comes highly recommended by us.

As a property manager I work with many different contractors and vendors. When we have Whittemores Landscape Design & Construction complete a project on a property I'm responsible for. I don't worry or feel like I have to micro-manage the project. Their attention to detail and customer service is always at the forefront. I would highly recommend this company for any project large or small.

Steve is both an artist and a technical expert and a master at his trade. We have used him for multiple landscape projects and he has been honest and responsible for each one. Steve is one of the few landscapers I have worked with that understands fertilization and maintenance of a lawn. Additionally, he has the creativity to do an amazing job arranging pots and planters seasonally. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
