We have a lovely lawn where there was none thanks to Pioneer Landscaping. They are efficient, professional and we will have them back to help us create our backyard utopia. We highly recommend them.

I struggle to recall a worse experience with a local business. Only once did they properly shovel (sometimes they didn't at all, other times it was below the bare minimum). Gave me a token discount when they didn't shovel. Extremely defensive over the completely inadequate quality of the work.

Go literally anywhere else.

I called Pioneer Landscapes a week and a half ago, asking if they could do a one-time mow because my mower is broken and I had to go out of town. "Sure, we'll fit you in" they said. Now, after a week of multiple calls and either not getting called back or getting vague assurances that the job would be done, my yard is completely out of control. What's more, when they first came to look at the yard they said it "looked like a $75 job". On the phone today they tell me they haven't been able to fit me in because it looks like a "3-4 hour job," which would cost more like $200. Lack of honesty, professionalism and in the end, simple courtesy, and now I'm going to have to rent a mower that can handle 2 foot grass and do it myself. Thanks for nothing.

Pioneer Valley has always been professional, are there when they say they'll be there and do quality work. Bob is a wonderful guy and has fair prices. I'm always glad to do business with them!

This company wasted my time with a meeting and then didn't follow through with an estimate. I had to call weekly for almost three months for them to send me the most basic estimate. It had all of 10 words in it. Then when I followed up to schedule the work they give me the runaround as well. It was very frustrating. Eventually I gave up on working with them.

If I could give them O stars I would. I called this company to make an appointment for an estimate. The lady said someone will get back to me within two days to make an appointment. It has been several weeks and no one got back to me. One time many years ago I had an appointment set up with them. The guy that showed up was extremely unfriendly and not professional. He measured my lawn and said he will get back to me with an estimate. He never did. I won’t be calling Pioneer Landscape again.

I have had Brian and his crew do several projects over the years and have been thoroughly pleased every time. They also do yearly lawn fertilization for me and my grass couldn’t be any greener. I highly recommend pioneer landscape to anyone looking for great service at a great price.

Parking your trailers in the road on a blind curve on West street where you’re creating a blind head on crash waiting to happen is just lazy and irresponsible behavior and I would never do business with a company who would put people’s lives at risk to save a few minutes, or learning to park a trailer….

Pioneer has done many jobs at my home . Can’t say enough about them ! Honest , respectful and meticulous with their work ! They checked in each day with me to see if I was satisfied with the work they completed ! They cleaned up everyday too. Totally transformed our backyard. I highly recommend them!

We are very happy with the process and the outcome of our front yard project. Brian and Bob worked with and contributed to our vision and together we created something beautiful. The crew were friendly and hard working, despite it being a chilly, rainy day. We will recommend to friends and plan to have them back for work in the spring.

Long time customer for lawn care and sprinklers. Had them remove mulch and shrubs to lay river rocks on the front and back plant beds. All in all $12K. Looked okay until spring when tons of weeds popped up which they said would not happen because of the ground cloth and rocks. Called/emailed multiple times for guidance, no one responded or replied over a two month period, so I cancelled my services with them and they didn't even acknowledge that. Serious lack of response and communication. Will be getting my lawn care services elsewhere!

Update: The owner of the company, Brian, reached out to address my concerns and had a crew out twice to redo a lot of the work. The yard looks much, much better and I appreciate the responsiveness of the owner!

Have been a customer for 5+ years, quality has gone downhill recently. Had them trim my shrubs for 375.00, work was sloppy, shrubs were lopsided, arborvitaes tops were lopped off, just a mess. We immediately contacted them and sent pics. They didn't come back to fix, took 100.00 off your bill, we didn't find that acceptable and they didn't care. They don't care about their customers, just the almighty dollar. Buyers Beware

Just read the reply from the Pioneer.....we were fine that the mistakes happened but to offer 100.00 off the bill? We told you that we didn't think that was fair and you said that was all you could do. YOU weren't working with us to rectify the situation.....even if it meant losing a long time customer. That's not a weak link from your staff.... that's on you.

Pioneer Landscapes did a great job on my front yard project. They were there when they were supposed to be. Got the job done quick and efficiently. Came in under budget. And made our yard look great. From Brian coming out and quoting the job, Lexi working with me to pick the plants, to the crew that got the job done, everyone was great. I would highly recommend them for your landscape needs.

Lex has been fantastic to work with. He's personally tackled trimming my enormous yew in the past, so he truly understands the tree's monstorous nature. He confirmed exactly what I wanted trimmed, and his crew worked their magic, transforming the unruly beast into a majestic, yet manageable thing of beauty. Now I don’t have to apologize to the neighbors anymore!

Called today to see if they could do a last minute plow of our driveway. Our usual guy was backed up so I was really grateful to find someone to come. I paid significantly more than I usually do going elsewhere and the guy completely snowed in my car. And it's compacted ice/ snow so I don't have the strength to even get it out. I just can't believe it. Was so excited to get someone last minute but so disappointed with the quality of work.

We have used Pioneer Landscape previously and for the most part to open up our irrigation system for the season. Our recent visit required repair of the irrigation due to leaking valves that fed water to a significant part of our above average size yard. We don't pen many many complimentary letters but the recent repair warranted such a note because of the workmanship, thoroughness, courtesy and respect for us and our property. Lenny and Alvia went above and beyond our expectations for this job that was significant in its nature and the fact that mother nature provided a very hot day to complete the task. We are a retired professional couple and know good work when we see it.
