Tons of visits to fix an issue they didn't cause. Techs were very nice and helpful but the end result was another company just looking at my furnace and telling me what they could see it needed before Obie could fix the issue. I actually had the other company on the phone with the Obie tech here and you could see a light bulb go off on the Obie techs head when the other company explained what was going on with the system... Awesome customer service, just need more knowledgeable techs.

I had HVAC system added to my house. It came with 1 year warranty with install. I had to call them about 25 times and the uint in bedroom has no temperature control. If you set temperature to 70 it goes down to 65. And keeps blowing cold air. If you start the heat same occurs. They could not fix it and they are unable to contact their vendor. This is not my fault. I did business with them not their vendor. Be aware what you will have to deal with this company.

My Bryant heat pump blower motor stopped working, so I contacted Obie since they originally installed the system (though I’m not the original homeowner, so it wasn’t under warranty). I chose them because I heard they keep 90% of parts on their service vehicles, which sounded ideal for a fast fix and initially installed the whole system (If I were the one who purchased that would still be under warranty)
They scheduled me a little over a week from my initial call. The technician was on time and friendly. After inspecting the unit, he confirmed the motor was broken (the system had already indicated that, and if the circuit board was the issue, the system likely wouldn’t have powered on—but that’s fine). He said someone from the office would send me a quote in a couple of days. He also mentioned that, if I approved the quote, it could take another 5+ business days for the part to arrive, after which they’d schedule the installation.
Two days later, I received a quote by email with no description—just a number: $3,500 to replace the blower motor. They also suggested I consider a full system replacement, which would come with a warranty.
Just to be safe, I got a second opinion from a smaller HVAC company. They quoted me about half the price, using the same original part, though they also needed to order it. Because of the heatwave, I decided to take a chance—I found the motor online for $300 (with warranty), called the seller to confirm compatibility (when it arrived, it turned out to be an almost identical brand-new motor, plug and play), and after watching a couple of YouTube videos, I was able to install it myself in about an hour. The unit has been running perfectly ever since—total downtime was about three days.
Overall, I think the technician and support staff at Obie were professional and helpful. But in my case, the repair quote felt very high. I’d recommend getting a second opinion or exploring other options—especially if you're out of warranty and comfortable doing a bit of research or troubleshooting (Just keep in mind that some repairs may require permits or need to be done by a licensed professional)

I had a very disappointing experience with Obie Comfort Solutions. They installed a new heat pump system for me, and after only two years it completely stopped working. While the manufacturer warranty still covered the parts, it did not cover labor. After several failed repair attempts, Obie recommended replacing the entire outside unit. Their quote? $4,000 for labor alone—for a job that takes only 3–4 hours. When I asked for an itemized breakdown, they flat-out refused, saying “it’s one price for all.”
I decided to get a second opinion and another vendor replaced the unit for just $800. That vendor also pointed out several mistakes Obie made during the original installation. These mistakes were confirmed by manufacturer's support engineers.

I cannot recommend Obie Comfort Solutions. Between the inflated labor costs, lack of transparency, and poor installation quality, I would advise anyone considering them to look elsewhere.

System they installed doesn't work properly. Support has been inconsistent, with missed call backs, missed follow ups, and insufficient service.

Half the time I call I get stuck with an AI roboadvisor that leads me in circles with no results.

Update: After months of back and forth, I ended up repairing the issues myself. The system overall needs a ton of babysitting and is not a reliable system. I probably need to fix something roughly once a month. Obie claims they finished the install so it isn't their problem anymore. Overall, I would not install this again, and I would not use Obie again.

Don’t do business with this company. They were trying to push me to replace my furnace in the middle of the snow storm when my furnace had failed. They were playing with me using delayed appointment schedules, although I had the premium membership, for changing parts as a tactic to convince me to replace the furnace which they told me would be done in one day!!! I called another compnay and they did fixed the part on the same day. Stay away and save your money.

No Office Support, Questionable Membership Practices, and Unreliable Emergency Response
On November 24, 2025, I contacted Obie to perform routine boiler maintenance before winter. The technician who arrived appeared to have limited experience, but I decided to proceed. After completing what was described as a basic cleaning (no repairs or additional services were performed), he strongly encouraged me to sign up for a “Membership.”
I signed the contract, was told the membership and service were bundled with a discount, and paid $315.
Over the following weeks, I occasionally noticed a faint gas smell in the basement. At first, it was subtle and I assumed it might be normal. However, on Monday, January 26, the odor became significantly stronger. I immediately contacted Eversource, who confirmed there was a gas leak and shut down the boiler for safety.
At that point, I did not assume the issue was related to the November service.
On Tuesday, January 27, I called Obie’s office to request service under my membership, as I had no heat and temperatures were below 10°F. To my shock, I was told that the technician who performed my November service never submitted the paperwork, and therefore I was not listed as a member.
I explained that I had signed documents and proof of payment. The office acknowledged the paperwork existed but stated I was “never charged” for the membership—despite my $315 payment. The representative was dismissive, rude, and unhelpful. With no heat, I had no choice but to schedule another service visit anyway.
Later that day, a technician named Santiago arrived. He appeared knowledgeable and informed me that the issue was a missing screw that holds the gasket in place, requiring a new gasket and screw. I was charged another $315 simply to be told this. I questioned whether the screw may have been left out during the November cleaning, but received no clear explanation.
Santiago stated the office would send me a written statement and repair quote by 4:00 PM. No statement arrived.
I called the office at 4:30 PM, 5:00 PM, and multiple times afterward—no one answered. Eventually, the answering service responded and said someone would be paged. At 8:30 PM, a woman named Kami called me back, immediately asking—rudely—what’s the “emergency??” She stated she had left the office at 4:00 PM and that was why no one responded earlier.
I explained that having no heat in -5°F wind chill conditions was absolutely an emergency. Only then did she send a repair quote. Desperate, I approved the $501 repair charge.
On Thursday January 29th , I called the company five to six times using the same number listed on their website. The calls rang through and then disconnected—no voicemail, no return call.
On Friday morning, after me calling few times at 10:00 AM, Kami finally answered again and told me she had been off the day before. I explained—again—that I had no heat, a small puppy, and unsafe conditions in my home. I was told the part had been ordered and repairs might take until the following Tuesday or Wednesday—or longer, depending on availability.
I was forced to contact another company to complete the repair. That company is scheduled to service the boiler this afternoon.
After paying hundreds of dollars, being treated rudely, left without heat for days, and unable to reach anyone despite repeated attempts, I can confidently state that this company demonstrated extreme unprofessionalism, poor customer service, and questionable business practices.
I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Our heater/boiler has been broken for over three weeks, and our experience with Obie Home Solutions has been extremely frustrating and unacceptable.

During this entire time, it has been cold, and we have been left without heat in our home, including during a snowstorm. Despite the urgency and obvious safety concerns, Obie Home Solutions has refused to take meaningful action. Instead, we have been continuously taken through the wringer, endless calls, delays, and conflicting information with no repair, no solution, and no clear timeline.

We have followed every step they asked of us, yet we are still being pushed aside while living in a cold house for weeks. Going without heat for this long, especially in winter conditions, shows a complete lack of urgency, accountability, and customer care.

At this point, we are asking for immediate action, not more excuses, either a prompt repair or a clear resolution. I am posting this review in hopes that Obie Home Solutions will finally acknowledge the seriousness of this situation and respond appropriately.

I recommend that anyone considering this company think about how problems are handled after you need help, especially during an emergency.
