Scheduler understood my concern and scheduled me next day. Iggy texted me when on the way. Iggy and I had a clear conversation about my concerns. Iggy heard my concerns, made a plan, got to work, showed and explained to me the finished product, tested it in front of me, and understood I was in a busy house environment so accommodated my request to text communicate for anything else needed. Highly recommend this company and service tech Iggy.

Booking was super easy and communication was top notch. Tech showed up on time and was very friendly, personable and knowledgeable. Work was completed fast but thoroughly. Over all, I am very happy with everything.

When I called, scheduling this appointment was very easy. The technician came by to my house within the arrival window. Dercio was very efficient and got to work right away. He noticed what needed to be done and was great doing the cleaning of my dryer vent. Cost was reasonable and I will be referring Dryer Vent Wizard to anyone interested in getting a cleaning done.

Every single thing was perfect with this visit, by a company that was highly recommended by my neighbors! John was awesome. He was probably here about 15-20 minutes. Provided so much needed education around the dryer vent. John was very kind and even vacuumed up all the lint that came out of the vent. I would 100% recommend this service.

Just had our dryer vent cleaned and it couldn’t have been easier. Dylan was great. Kind and totally professional. Very communicative and prompt. I would recommend to anyone.

Dylan arrived one hour earlier than our scheduled appointment time which was agreeable to me. After I explained my concerns regarding a recent appliance repair to my gas dryer necessitating a new ignition I had immediately started to smell some gaslike fumes on the second floor of the house where the dryer is located, when the dryer is running, however, the clothes are drying perfectly and are not smelling gas like. The appliance repair technician rechecked the dryer and said there was no gas leaking. It was possible I had a lint back up in my dryer vent ductwork even though Stanley steamer had come six months ago to do a routine cleaning. Dylan very thoroughly explained all the possibilities that might cause the issue and completed a cleaning to the best of his ability. He was pleasant and knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions as well as options to address should the issue continue. I was very pleased with the service.

They were open, honest, and fair with their pricing, and took the time to explain what they were doing without any pressure or upselling. The work was done efficiently and professionally. Technician arrived on time and was professional, knowledgeable and fast, but not too fast. My only complaint is that when I called to make the appointment and asked how much the service would be I was told “the inspection is $49“. I was not prepared for the charge for cleaning the vent. We were charged the “lowest fee“ as our dryer is on the first floor and it was still $178 IN ADDITION to the original charge of $49. While the charge is reasonable, I felt it should be clear before the appointment is made.

I had a great experience with Dryer Vent Wizard. Jeff was knowledgeable, friendly, and took the time to explain what he was doing and why it mattered. He did a thorough job and showed me the before-and-after, which really made me glad I booked the service. The whole process was easy, professional, and gave me real peace of mind. I’ll definitely plan to schedule this again every three years as recommended!

I wish I could remember the name of the man I initially spoke with when I called there to inquire about their services. He was so polite, pleasant, patient and knowledgeable. I told him my issues and what the dryer repair man had suggested as a solution. He put it all in a note in my file. My “window” was 11:00-3:00 and I was very pleasantly surprised when John Caldeira was at my door promptly at 11:00! He already had the parts I was going to need thanks to the aforementioned notes in my file. He installed my new vent right then! I was also very pleasantly surprised by how affordable it was. I highly recommend Dryer Vent Wizard.

This was the third time I have used Dryer Vent Wizard. They are always very prompt and thorough. The price is also reasonable. The tech even let me know a good schedule to keep up with cleanings. They will automatically send email when it is time too! Great service! Very nice tech!

It was easy to schedule an appointment. They showed up on time. John was kind, awesome and polite. He was very knowledgeable and was here for a total of 15 to 20 minutes. Everything is working great. He vacuumed up all the lint that came out of the dryer so there’s no mess left Behind. I would highly recommend the service.

I needed my dryer vent cleaned so, once again, I called Dryer Vent Wizard. I scheduled the appointment online with ease, and I received a confirmatory text almost immediately. Excellent pre-appointment communication. On the service date, I received a call from the technician, Dylan, who said he’d be there in approximately 1/2 hour. Dylan arrived on time, told me what needed to be done, provided a very reasonable estimate, and got right to work. He was very knowledgeable, polite, professional, and he did excellent work. I highly recommend Dryer Vent Wizard!

Excellent service! Dylan was professional, polite friendly -arrived on time -called me with an arrival time.- able to clean dryer vent quickly and efficiently -vent did not need to be replaced as I was strongly encouraged to do by another company therefore, I saved some money -always a good thing! My appt was booked in a timely manner and the technician showed up on time. I am still not certain what inspection was performed by the technician. I gave him my reasons for having him out which was that I began cleaning below my lint trap and was horrified as to what came out. It was an honest mistake, but the technician had mud on his boots and tracked it all the way up to the second floor. After going outside to look at where the vent was- I was told it was on the roof which would be an additional cost. He said that he could most likely perform the cleaning through the attic by detaching the vent. Boot covers were put over his boots and the cleaning was performed. I was a bit taken back as to how quickly the service was performed and that where the vent connects to the actual dryer was never disconnected to make sure that the ‘snake’ made it all the way down. So, I took it upon myself to take it apart. There was additional lint, a peanut, golf ball maker…

It wasn’t a terrible service, but room for improvement to make certain that the job is done thoroughly from one end of the vent to the other.

Update:

Peter was able to find record of the service performed at my property. I requested details on what the ‘inspection’ was supposed to entail and he sent along the 10 things that the gentleman servicing my vent was supposed to inspect. I can assure you that not one of them was performed. I actually bought an attachment for my shop vac and spent Sunday morning cleaning out below my lint trap. I will post a photo of what got sucked into my shop vac. I dodged a fire for sure and am grateful that I thought to check below the lint trap- which prompted me to call Dryer Vent Wizard in the first place. Awaiting a call back from Peter to discuss my experience.

I dropped my original 3 star rating to a 1 star given what was supposed to be performed and what actually was/was not done.

3rd and final update: I contacted Dryer Vent Wizard to request a follow-up inspection to ensure that the first technician had correctly attached the dryer vent, as it appeared the job was not properly completed. Iggy, who was fantastic, was sent to check the attic. Upon inspection, Iggy discovered that the dryer vent had become disconnected from the roof and had been venting hot, moist air into the attic for two weeks. She also took a video while cleaning the vent, which revealed that debris was still being dislodged, despite the vent supposedly having been cleaned.

Iggy replaced the collapsed portion of the galvanized ductwork with semi-rigid ductwork. However, a contractor informed me that semi-rigid venting does not meet code requirements for attics in Massachusetts; it must be rigid venting with a smooth interior. I confirmed this with my town's building inspector and forwarded the Massachusetts code to DVW. DVW maintained that their venting was up to code, but when I asked them to install insulation, they refused, claiming that insulation around attic venting causes condensation. The owner, Bob, confirmed this stance.

In reality, insulating ductwork in the attic is essential to prevent condensation when the warm duct meets the cold New England winter air. Although I was reimbursed the initial amount I paid, I incurred additional costs to hire another company to install rigid ducting and insulate my dryer vent, as it had been for the previous eight years before hiring DVW.

Would 100% recommend. Very easy to make appointment, came out fast and on time. John was so helpful and knowledgeable. We needed our entire vent replaced and a new vent cover & he cleaned out the old lint as well. Glad we had them come when we did because our house could have caught on fire. He was efficient and friendly. Will be using them in the future for sure!

Handyman Connection of South Shore was a great resource for me, a 79 year old widow. They responded promptly to my request and a handyman arrived 2 days after I posted my request for help.

Kevin B. called before arriving, listened carefully to my request and provided a reasonable estimate. Then he offered to complete the task right then and there so that the job was done the very same day (installing screening to hold in the ceiling insulation in my cellar). He was polite and friendly and I felt very comfortable with him in my home. He completed the job with care and thoroughness in spite of cramped spaces and dusty conditions. I asked for his full name so that I could call upon him again via Handyman Connection the next time I needed help with my house.

I saw an advertisement recently for Handyman Connection of South Shore and called them as we had some handyman jobs that needed their help. They came out I believe the next day and gave us very reasonable quotes for the two separate jobs. Even the owner Dan came to meet us and look at the jobs.

The office with Chantel is very organized and she scheduled them around my schedule and was so great about everything and explained how it works.

The first person was Joe Crowley. As an electrician he was able to figure out our switches/light problem. He came to our home and went straight to work. Did a great job and we now have two working lights that are needed. Thank you Joe. He is very professional and a very nice person who knows the ins and outs of a lot of things around the house.

The 2nd job was to fix a roof leak then patch and repair the ceiling and to retape seams and mud in etc...
This was Zach Straner. A very good carpenter and knows his stuff. He went to work immediately and had the roof repaired within a couple of hours. He then worked on the room and finished the whole room with a day. Great worker and very nice person. Thank you Zach.
