What a team Handyman Connection of South Shore is! I felt heard from the time I filled out the application on-line. Dan Edwards (owner) reached out immediately and scheduled me with Tom, who specializes in projects akin to my needs. Dan even sent me Tom's picture so I would recognize him when he came to do the work. I did not have to wait long - only two days.

When Tom arrived, he surveyed the projects, wrote up an estimate and, once I signed off, he got right to work. He always considered any input from me. Each project was completed with great care and attention to detail.

I could not have asked for better. Between Tom's performance and my communications with Dan, I would trust any member of this team. I look forward to future connections with them.

I hired Handyman Connection to repair some rotted siding and trim . My craftsman Kevin G did a great job and he suggested to me to prepaint the clapboard siding before installing as it would be too cold for paint to cure properly in late November as I told him I had the paint that would match the existing siding the new boards would be placed next to .Very professional and tidy job was completed and couldn’t be happier with the results.

Alan Clarke did an excellent job painting the outside trim, shutters, and doors of my house. He was professional and always communicated clearly, keeping me updated throughout the project. He met his deadline and was always on time and responsive to my questions. I am very happy with the results – it was a smooth and stress-free experience! Alan is a friendly and likable guy- I enjoyed working with him!

Zach was great. He is a skilled carpenter and I was very pleased with the reconstruction he did of my bulkhead. I would highly recommend him

    Stars - Highly Recommend!

I had the pleasure of working with Zach from Handyman Connection, and I can't say enough good things about him! From start to finish, his communication was clear and timely, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. He was professional, courteous, and really took the time to understand the details of the job. The quality of work was top-notch, and Zach went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right.

I’ll definitely be calling Zach for any future projects, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and skilled handyman!

I’ve used Handyman many times now. It has helped me save appliances to get more years out of them. Sometimes a reinstallation is required and that was also available through Handyman. Tom did a great job in installing my new dishwasher.

Kevin George was great. He did a great job explaining what would be done and his work was outstanding! Will absolutely have him back for future jobs.

We needed the metal screening replaced at the open end of our ground-level deck, to keep the critters out. Kevin came and removed the old, decaying screening and replaced it with sturdy, galvanized, stainless steel mesh screening. We couldn't happier with his work. He was prompt, fast, and took pride in his work. The new screening will last for years. See pix. We'll definitely be calling on him for help with our next project!

Highly recommended! I had two carpentry projects. Tom explained clearly what needed to be done and did a great job. Very friendly. Very reasonably priced.

Had Jack a lock installer out to take one lock off and install a new lock. One out one in. When the lock was installed with deadbolt the new deadbolt hit the strike plate on the jamb. I asked Jack if he could make an adjustment and he said nothing there is nothing to adjust it is fine. I said I should not have to pick up the door and throw a shoulder into it to get it to work correctly. Jack stated it worked fine to him. I asked who his boss was and he said Dan. I then called Dan and explained what had transpired and asked if he could send out another craftsman or even better come out himself to correct the issue. Dan said he would not come out himself even though his office is less than 3 miles away, he would not send out another employee. I feel a little customer service goes a long way. The handyman connection has absolutely NO customer service and to send the same guy who didn’t know how to correct the issue is just foolish. I called to try to rectify this issue the easiest way possible and I was surprised Dan who runs the business was so defensive and rude on the phone. Like I stated , this should be a simple fix for a true door craftsman but with Dan’s lack of people skills it is a shame I had to write this review but felt I needed to warn any future customers.

Handyman was easy to work with and there craftsperson , Jeff, knew exactly what I needed and followed up promptly and completed, to my total satisfaction, the project as we discussed. Even went above & beyond, working in inclement weather.

I highly recommend this business for task needed around the house by a professional. I was so pleased with the service I received from craftmen who came to assembly a KING size bed frame . The frame was elaborate with compartments and led head board with just picture instructions.
I' am now enjoying my new bed. 😎

Kevin replaced our very outdated wood deck with a new composite deck. He was very thorough and made sure everything was secure. The cost was very fair and we are thrilled with our new outdoor space.

I really didn't want to write this review but, if you're considering this service please reconsider. Unfortunately I had an extremely negative experience with the manager/owner Dan. The job was to replace 2 exterior doors, which I purchased myself from Cape Cod Lumber and purchased the new hardware/door knobs from Lowes, and had all the materials delivered to my property myself. I simply needed an install. My first impression of the craftsperson was actually good, and he wrote me up a quote. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE learn from my mistake here, what was said next was a complete lie. A single panel, standard 36"×82" entry door, which comes pre-manufactured in a frame, is just that, it's standard. These guys sold me on the premise that this door installation was highly custom, and that my door (a Therma-tru) was custom and required 2 whole days to install! I'm in a bit of a time constraint due to preparing to rent the property for traveling Hospital workers (as i am also a travelling hospital worker) and unfortunately I didn't realize I was being lied to... So, for anyone out there who understands business 101, being transparent with scope of work and contract details is very commonplace, you can expect an honest person to explain those details. Dan Edwards refused to explain the breakdown of pricing when I respectfully questioned the invoice. Because I soon learned that i was paying nearly 4x more than i needed to. The doors were hung in less than half a day (was told it would be an entire day to hang one door) and the charge was nearly $4,000. Current MASTER carpenter hourly rates in Massachusetts for 2023 are ~$125/hr, and replacing an entry door is a $500-$600 job. The handyperson charged me $256hr after all was said and done, and they were clearly not a master carpenter. These guys do most of their service with our local elderly, and they're shameless with disingenuous business practice. I don't believe the owner truly understands basic construction, which makes it difficult to reason with him. He has a history of 15 different jobs in sales and marketing according to his linked in account, and judging by several other reviews here, he's done this before to local home owners! His approach to explaining scope of work and breaking down invoice details is to argue, insult, interrupt and threaten with mechanics liens. HOME OWNER BEWARE. Also, my door doesn't even close, after all of that. Please look elsewhere for work.

EDIT: Replying to Dan's response here. Guys please look elsewhere for work, unfortunately some people refuse to acknowledge the truth.

    1) I purchased the doors completely on my own.

    2) Upon contacting the manufacturer and distributor, the doors are far from custom they are quite standard.

    3) Asking the installer to do "side work" is not true. The storm door was installer backwards.

    4) This property is co-owned, and Dan was visibly upset when he learned that I was related to the co-owner who wanted to just understand this expensive work.

Chris did an incredible job replacing a difficult custom window in our barn. The project was far from straightforward, but he handled every challenge with skill, patience, and true craftsmanship. He was professional, reliable, and took obvious pride in his work. The new window is a perfect fit and looks beautiful. Couldn’t be happier and highly recommend him.

Jack was very professional and extremely nice. He did a great job replacing my two basement windows and I can tell he really cares about his work. I highly recommend Handyman Connection

Glenn was excellent to work with. The job included adding to an existing outdoor staircase handrail. He made great recommendations with respect to how to match the existing components. Ultimate installation is sturdy and visually complementary to the front of the house.

Handyman Connection of the South Shore was terrific. Very organized and professional--always letting me know when Ray, our assigned worker was about to arrive. Their estimate was reasonable and they were able to schedule the work really quickly. Ray went above and beyond, hunting down a specific type a trim to match the rest of the house. He was terrific to work with!

Joe (is an experienced electrician) & was very friendly & easy to work with. He worked quickly removing the old outside porch lights and installing two new lights. Checked them out for alignment on the house and that they “turned on & off” properly. Also discussed replacing same type of lantern light that’s on the light “pole” in the yard to match the two new ones he just installed as a future project. In the spring when the ground is not frozen, the pole needs to be straightened out first.

I will definitely be following up with Handyman Connection - to complete the job (with Joe) in the spring.
