WARNING THIS IS A SCAM. We called confirmed an appt. with this chimney company and they confirmed they could come in a few days. When they arrived they seemed professional enough. Did the cleaning (or so we thought) and spent a few hours at our home. It started to take a turn when they were upselling new chimney caps and other adds-ons, their invoice had a name that was not "first class" and they wanted cash. We obliged after the holidays but then upon actually using our fireplaces it was like they were never cleaned. Clearly a clog and smoke filling the room. We called back a few times and no one would answer our calls FOR MONTHS.

After my CO alarm went off at my home in Lexington, the energy company suggested I get a chimney inspection. I called a few places but got really high prices until I reached out to First Class Chimney Cleaning. Brendan answered the phone and was clear and fair about the process. A technician came out the same day, even though I called pretty late. He checked the entire chimney and let me know it was safe to use, so we could turn the heat back on. There was no charge since there were no issues found, which really surprised me. I’ve never met a chimney company so honest. I will definitely recommend them to friends and family.
