The Alcantara team was very professional and did a great job repairing our ceiling and walls in our living room and sunroom. They added our original crown molding back on and painted our door, walls and ceiling. Everything was done within a few days as estimated. The team also made sure to block off the rest of our rooms so the dust was contained. Our project manager was Ricardo and he kept us updated throughout the project. I appreciated his responsiveness and great attitude. I would not hesitate to have this team work on additional projects at my house.

Deal with this company at your own peril. They don't show up on time, and sometimes not at all. When you call the office they answer and tell you that they will find out when they are coming and call you right back. They don't!! So you are left hanging not knowing if they are coming or not. One day they were supposed to be here at 8:30 in the morning showed up at 2:30 and then told me that on Fridays they usually leave it 3:00 or 3:30. Another day two men came to do a job and one left I thought he was going out to the truck for supplies. He never returned so I asked the other man what happened to him and he said they called him on another job he's not coming back. They keep walking out and not coming back are telling you that they got they all got called and had to go someplace else they'll be back tomorrow. When you call the office and they know you are looking for them they don't answer the phone anymore, and I mean all day long! They hooked up a microwave for me over the range and about a month later it just died no power at all, you call them back and they take the phone off the hook. And never return your call. They definitely do not stand behind the work. This is the second chance I gave them I did give them a bad review and then they made me feel sorry for them so I deleted it but this is the last straw. This is a very poorly unorganized company and I'm sure there are others much more qualified than these people. And now I realize their work is faulty too. The people in the office are rude, untruthful, and difficult. I don't want to see anyone else go through this at all. There are other companies that treat customers with respect and can do a much much better job and will stand by there work

Alcantara contractors installed two new railings on our staircase. We really like the new railings. I can't believe we waited that long to get new ones installed. I would recommend Alcantara for all home improvements.

I would like to thank ALCANTARA construction workers for their professional skill and dedicated services. Great team work. The sliding bath tube doors make perfect that there is no longer having water spreading to the floor due to shower or bath. The floating sink makes more space under the sink. The final painting and finishing are excellent. Overall, it looks much nicer in the bathroom than before.

The Alcantara crew was on site at my house every day adding a mudroom and completely gutting and rebuilding my kitchen and both bathrooms. Their finish carpentry is stunning. Their tile work is beautiful. I couldn’t be happier with the end result.

I contacted the contractor . Carlos, to work on different projects in my home including installing stairs and remodeling a bathroom. The work is well done at a reasonable price. He will adjust the s ops of work to fit your budget All the workers that arrived at my home were professional , clean and meticulous in their work. I highly recommend and am thrilled to find someone who is trustworthy to assist in home projects.

I needed a contractor. The plumbing was fixed, but the bathroom a mess. Where to start? I found Alcantara contractors online, needed work done and in short order. Carlos responded and dispatched Alex. The work needed was more than originally planned, but Alex did in 2 days a miraculous job! He explained the "what" and "why" leaving me with a ready to paint bathroom and greater understanding of the basics. Also, he cleaned up the work area and secondary room with a broom and mop! All at a reasonable rate! Try these guys, Alcantara contractors, I know I'll be calling them in the future.

I had Alcantara remodel our two ancient bathrooms in Belmont. The results were fantastic! Ricardo was very helpful throughout the whole process. He was able to give great suggestions on styles, materials and fixtures. He was also able to accommodate any wacky requests or changes along the way. All the work was done promptly with little disruption. Would highly recommend.

I’ve known Carlos & his construction company for many decades. He & his company have been great workers & committed. His work has always been great! We are very happy with him & his company.

We hired Carlos and team for a kitchen gut remodel, taking down a wall and installing a structural support beam, and to gut both bathrooms and turn them from 1.5 bathrooms to 2 by installing a standup shower in the previously 1/2 only bathroom upstairs. The pictures are here which show the progress, we are extremely satisfied with the results!

Carlos, the owner, brought many suggestions to the table and spent the time trying to work within a budget at the same time bringing in the much needed updates. He discouraged some items that would have just made him money and was honest about costs. The workmanship in respecting the elements of an old home showed in repairing and restoring glass doorknobs to their prior elegance while still bringing modern touches to our home has been an amazing transformation.

Small detail items didn't go unnoticed such as to where to center the bathroom vanity which makes a difference for the size constraints in our small bathroom. He's responsive on calls and was willing to work with us when we changed our mind or added extra work. The carpentry and painting skills of his crew are incredible. I'll never paint again now that I've seen what a quality paint job looks like.

We contracted Alcantara to build a new deck for us as well as a bunch of related but auxiliary work. We found their quote to be fairly priced (we had a wide range of estimates, theirs was middle of the road) but were more so won over by Marcelino and his genuine personality, attitude and understanding of the project. It was clear he saw the vision and could see it through. While the project took longer than we had anticipated, we are really happy with the end result and Marcelino made sure to address every last detail... and even some things that weren't part of the original project. Everything came in on budget and any additional costs (premium materials, etc) were explained clearly and upfront and did not appear to be marked up. The workers that came by were all very nice, hard-working and seemed to really enjoy the work which makes for a better end product all around. I would definitely recommend Alcantara and will likely continue to work with them in the future.

Working with Ricardo Martin, Contractor has been a great experience. Ricardo works for Alcantara contractors. They were hired to combine two bathrooms into one making them universally accessible for aging in place. They consistently perform high-quality work and have done an absolutely beautiful job on our renovation. Ricardo is very easy to work with, trustworthy and has excellent interpersonal skills. For this reason, I decided to expand the renovation from the two bathrooms to the entire en suite. I am extremely happy and satisfied with the quality of the work for the entire project. Whenever I have a concern or a question, he is always willing to listen carefully. Most importantly, he never gets defensive and always listens with a true spirit of problem-solving. He is eager to find a resolution and willing to compromise if necessary.

He is very reliable and dependable and demonstrates respect for your home at all times. Ricardo is also an excellent team leader. Though there is always a tight timeline and a lot of juggling, you never feel the stress coming from him. He treats all team members with respect, and it keeps the spirit of the project in a very happy place. I am absolutely thrilled with the quality of the work. I would highly recommend working with Ricardo from Alcantara contractors. Ricardo is committed to high-quality work and the end product speaks for itself!

I bought a new refrigerator and the men installing it ripped the rear door and frame right off the house. I called a few contractors and Carlos estimates $200 cheaper than the others. They arrived on time, fixed the door and frame in a few hours. Thanks to you and your workers, my. door works even better than it did.
Recently a storm blew a few shingles off the roof of the house. I'm 88, and wasn't going to get on the roof to fix it. I called contractors they said the job was too small for them. When I called Alcantara Construction he said he was doing a job in the area and would stop by and look at it. Before I knew it him and his workers had a ladder on the roof, fixed it, and left. I never received a bill. Thank you so much!!! I will recommend you and your workers to anyone.

We hired carlos and his team to gut and rebuild our first floor two bedroom apartment in our two family home after a small fire in their unit. After multiple estimates and feedback we went with them. He was fair and honest with estimate and many companies do not like to work with insurance. Carlos was responsive with us and the private adjuster we hired to help navigate the process. Their was some hiccups, which always is when dealing l with insurance companies and carlos was good about helping communicate with them and helping to get them to keep the project on track and not too long delayed.
As they begin construction and work we decided to have his team also do our second floor unit central heat/air convert from oil to gas.
gut our kitchen, finish a upstairs staircase that was unfinished and build out a new small bathroom on our 3rd floor.
all the workers who we worked with during the year process were friendly and professional.
And when we had to reach out to carlos for any follow ups after completion he had been very helpful and responsive to come out and help.

Carlos and his team along with his subs did an amazing job in my North Andover home. They converted an extra living room into a bedroom, bathroom, and office with laundry. The project took 3 months to complete, and they worked very hard and diligently. Maciel, Alex, Josimar and others (electricians, painters, tile installer, even office folks) were extremely personable and patient with me and it really made my first renovation an enjoyable experience. Carlos and his team also helped me promptly with other issues I had in my home, all of which were executed extremely well:
- a leak in the basement (plumbing and replacing sheetrock with drop ceiling tiles).
- removing subfloor, retiling and replacing toilet and vanity in second floor bathroom
- Resizing kitchen cabinets to allow up to code installation of new stove
I will continue to use Alcantara as my go to contractor and I highly recommend him to others.
PS they are extremely busy, so being flexible goes a long way.

During our recent blizzard it became clear to me that my wife and I had hours of back breaking work ahead to dig us out! We were not looking forward to it! Then I contacted alcantara for assistance. Carlos immediately got back to me with pricing and timeframe of when his team could be there. They were awesome to deal with! Dug as out, cleared off our cars, porches, driveway and steps. We didn’t have to do a thing! Remember to contact Alcantara for any needs you may have renovations, construction, snow removal, etc. Alcantara is the best!!

We used Alcantara to build a dormer the length of our second floor so we could add a bedroom for our kids. The project took about 6 months. Carlos and Odair were both really great to work with – very friendly and communicative. The rest of the staff they employed was top notch as well – they were friendly and kind and, crucially, fantastic workers. Everyone was very respectful of our property and house – they were careful to not damage anything and cleaned up after themselves at every stage of the project.

The work that the team did was really well done. They didn’t cut any corners and we felt good about the construction. The end result was great – the new space was exactly what our family needed and my kids are loving having their own rooms! Carlos and Odair made sure we were happy with everything before wrapping the project up and tied up all the loose ends we had.

While the project took longer than we'd hoped (we were told 3-6 months for the project and it was pushing 6 months at the end and there were many days they didn't come by due to other projects they were working on), we were thrilled with the end results. We'd absolutely use Alcantara again.
