Very impressive. From the moment the process began the team at the office was on top of scheduling and communications. We had some setbacks on our end and they were gracious and accommodating about it, as though that had been the plan all along. When the day for installment came the crew was warm, efficient and professional. We were impressed by the job they performed, but I was equally impressed by the care they took explaining stuff to my older father, the respect and kindness they showed towards me, and the sweet interactions they had with their self appointed job foreman, our dog. You expect to have to sacrifice care and kindness for professionalism and efficiency, that was not our experience with Boucher.

It was time to replace our 21 year old Central AC system so I reached out to 5 contractors for quotes. For some it was a 5 minute visit and a quote to replace exactly what we had. For Joel Boucher of Boucher Energy Systems it was an involved visit, taking measurements, asking questions and offering options. Our second floor was originally configured with not enough return air ducts. Joel offered a simple solution not conceived of by any of the others. Joel also carefully explained the difference between traditional central air conditioning and a heat pump system and why he liked a heat pump system better for our situation. He also explained the Mass Save 0% financing and rebate program. I promptly received Boucher’s quote and had several questions. The questions were answered immediately and professionally making the decision to choose Boucher that much easier. Preparations for the installation (paperwork for financing, scheduling and placement questions) were all handled promptly by their office assistant, Tina. On the first day of the installation their crew arrived promptly and got to work. Matt, the technician in charge, listened to my preferences and carefully answered any questions that I had. The bulk of the work was completed on day 1 and at the end of that day the work area was cleaner than when they found it (they even removed the accumulation of leaves that were behind the old unit). The installation was complete and the new unit started by noon the next day. Upon start up we noted a harmonic sound coming from the unit. Matt suggested a solution and came back later that same day with the Steve the Installation Manager to resolve the issue (a simple fix). Follow up on the paperwork for warranty and rebates by Tina was prompt and thorough (she even responded to an email on Saturday when I asked a question). Replacing an HVAC system is a large undertaking. Boucher Energy Systems made that process easy and seamless.

They were professional from the first appointment. Very thorough in understanding our needs. They came up with a comprehensive solution. Their installation was fantastic. They had all the paperwork organized after completing the job and were extremely methodical in guiding us through the inspections. All the town inspectors mention what an "excellent job" they had done. We are 6 months into the installation, the system works very well. We are saving money. It is extremely energy efficient (we really wanted a low carbon solution) and state of the art.
We looked at several vendors and contractors. No one came close with the solution or the professionalism.
They are absolutely the best in the area. We went through at least 6-7 teams to come up with a solution for us. NO one came close to what we got with Boucher Energy Systems. We do not intend to work with anyone else after this experience. A+ does not quite say it!

This is my second project with Boucher Energy. They are thorough, knowledgeable about heat pumps (rare to find among HVAC firms these days) and great to work with. The installation went smoothly and the team was efficient and careful in the work. I highly recommend them.

Boucher Energy did a compete upgrade to our home’s HVAC system and they were outstanding. The planning and installation were both completed by top notch professionals and I could not have been more pleased. And on top of it all, they were great people to work with and have around the house for the seven days of the project. Five stars!!!!!

I had my old Waterfurnace geothermal furnace replaced with a new one since fixing the old one would have been very expensive. Boucher installed the new one in a couple of days. They were very professional and everything was clean and tidy. The duct work that ties the furnace to the existing duct work was properly sealed. It all looks great. They did an awesome job. I'm extremely satisfied and work recommend them to anyone.

Joel and the team at Boucher were great. From easy and thorough communication to their installation crew taking the time to do an amazing install and cleaning up after themselves. Everything came out great.. Highly recommend using Boucher for your HVAC needs.

I have been a Boucher Energy customer for over 20 years. They consistently provide top-notch service. Their technicians are well-trained and come equipped to fix any issue you may be having. They recently completed a American Standard central air replacement project at my house and we couldn't be happier with the new system and professional installation at competitive rates.

We have been a loyal customer of Boucher Energy Systems for many years, starting with a heating unit which included domestic hot water. Years later we added two, thru the wall, A/C units.

The latest addition was to install A/C /Heat on our porch, turning it into a 3 season room.
The crew arrived on time, went over the installation with my husband and started work. Everone wore masks and shoe coverings when entering the house.

**They’re well organized and responsive - Like all successful businesses, they’re busy. But Tina does an amazing job in the front office. She provides a prompt, clear response to every call. And Boucher people are considerate of your home and property. They’re always neat and leave the place clean.

**They take pride in what they do - They feel like they’re the best in the region and I can see that they are motivated by that. Every homeowner knows that HVAC technology has been changing in recent years and you have to keep up with it. Boucher does so. They are right up to date with the cutting-edge stuff. At the same time, they also know how to figure things out like people did in the old days. There were two times over the years where we thought we were going to need a major repair or new equipment, and - once, Dan, and another time, Justin – stuck with it and wouldn’t give up and figured out something that they replaced or adjusted - and we were back in business.

Boucher installed an air source heat pump solution as a replacement to my ageing central AC system. I had high expectations after they had been strongly recommended to me by 2 people had similar projects done by Boucher. They did not disappoint. Working with them was a very positive experience. During the quoting process, they were well-informed and responsive and patiently talked me through a number of options. Their pricing was competitive (I received quotes from 3 other companies), but Boucher came up with the most practical and well thought out engineering solution. The install was completely seamless. It was performed on schedule and everyone on the install team was courteous and neat. System operation was patiently explained to me.

Boucher personnel work efficiently, quietly and explain the what and how it is going to be accomplished. They are professionals through and through.

I had a Mitsubishi split air conditioner installed by Boucher Energy over 13 years ago. Never needed any maintenance in all those years. It finally broke down late last summer. Since the Mitsubishi unit performed so well, I had Boucher Energy installed a new replacement Mitsubishi system in July. This time I asked for a heat pump instead of just an air conditioner for the replacement, so we can have heat in the winter. It will work as a hybrid unit with my existing oil heating system. The technicians did a very professional job on the installation. The new system works even better than the old one. To our amazement, this new unit is able to provide air conditioning to our up-stair bedrooms (we have a split-level house). Needless to say, we are extremely happy with this new Mitsubishi system. Hope this new unit will last over 13 years without maintenance, similar to the old Mitsubishi unit.

I can't say enough good things about Boucher. They installed our heating system 13 years ago, and last month they installed our new Mitsubishi electric split AC/heater. Boucher has the most energy efficient systems of anyone, and they are so responsive and patient explaining everything from technical details to financing. Their workers are the nicest guys...I highly recommend them to anyone!

Very knowledgeable, practical, easy to work with, and (very important) answered ALL of our questions quickly and honestly...installation went without a hitch; the install crew (really a great TEAM) were polite and professional...really knew their stuff. Post-installation questions were answered the same-day they were asked, as well as a couple of questions dealing with the operation of the system a week or so later. Great people! There were NO hidden "gotchas". The system that was installed was exactly the system that was specified: absolutely no surprises. We are extremely pleased with our system.

We first hired Boucher Energy for a new HVAC system back in the early 2000's. We were so pleased with their work we referred a few family members to them for their needs over the next several years. Like us, they too were quite pleased with the service provided by Boucher. This year, in a different home, we had the need to upgrade our heating and cooling systems in addition to upgrading the hot water heater. Again we reached out to Boucher Energy and, as expected they delivered a quality system for us. The installation crew was awesome. They were professional, courteous and considerate of our needs and our property throughout the project. The took the time to answer questions and explain the features and operation of the new systems. Nice work guys, thank you.

When Joel came out to provide a quote, I knew I picked the right company. He was so informative and provided different options for us. He explained the different rebate options available which helped us make the right decision.
Tina was instrumental in helping me through the mass save process. She was very nice and answered my questions quickly.
The team installed 4 mini split units and they are on time, very professional and completed the project in one day. I recommend them highly.

I am extremely pleased with the quality of the installation of my new HVAC system. The installers were very professional and friendly, and I was impressed with their knowledge, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. I highly recommend BES to fulfill your HVAC needs. They are just nice honest people to deal with.

Boucher installed 2 ductless minisplits at my home. The quality and speed of the work were both excellent. The casings for drainage and electrical lines were installed exactly where and how I asked, and they look great. The electrician they worked with also did very clean work, and he managed to run all the wiring through the ceiling. They also stuck around after the job was finished to walk me through the controls, which was really helpful. Overall, I was very pleased with the service, and I'd use this business again.

While we’re happy with the work completed, the crew was competent and completed the installation efficiently, I have a couple of issues:
1. When providing a quote and/or proposal, please identify those major products that your quote was based on that are NOT currently or expected to be available. I was provided a quote on 10/22/24 and told that bookings would be in the early/mid December timeframe. When I accepted the quote (11/1/24), I found out that the product quoted was on back order for at least two months. Knowing that might have changed our decision.
2. Don’t invoice for the project until the work has been completed. While we were happy that the back ordered product came in a week or so earlier and we were able to get scheduled sooner, we were invoiced the day after the crew left but before any of the required inspections were done (I.e., before the project was finished). I had to ask several times about when the inspections would be done. Three weeks later I had one of the two inspections and week later was the second inspection. Rational provided by Boucher after the first inspection was that the plumbing inspection had to happen before the electrical inspection. That information would have been helpful since it clearly was known from the start.
3. This leads me to a lack of timely and appropriate communication as identified in my two issues above. I realize that everyone is busy but if you don’t have time to communicate, you’re going to lose potential repeat customers.

Boucher is the Best!! I have used them years!
They replaced my heating and central ac about 8 years ago.. most recently they installed mini splits on my new addition. Reliable Experienced and always there IF needed. Love the twice a year maintenance options!! Highly recommend!
