Our backyard transformation was a wonder. The Narrow Lane provided the kind of support and creativity you always hoped for but rarely achieved. Our designers (Jeremy and Alison) were full of good ideas that turned into a striking final product of hardscape and landscaping. We now have an area we love to use, and others love to see in the neighborhood. It’s easy to recommend TNL for its commitment to client satisfaction.

The Narrow Lane was fabulous to work with, and their results exceeded my expectations! They installed beautiful granite-slab steps connecting my upper front yard with my lower back yard, and the result is gorgeous -- the talk of the neighborhood. In particular, Alison Williams was a great listener and delivered exactly what I'd had in mind. I recommend NL unreservedly!

Ron and his team at The Narrow Lane helped us reimagine and refresh our entire backyard space. We used Narrow Lane for a new stone patio and firepit in our yard. The process was seamless, starting with a custom design consult. They were professional, courteous and very communicative throughout the project. Our designer/project manager Jeremy was very helpful every step of the way and the work quality from everyone on the job was excellent.

We’ve used The Narrow Lane since they started. This spring’s project involved replacing foundation plantings in the front of the house and replacing the grass in the small back yard with wildflowers. From the design process with Nicole and Brendan to the installation with the crew under their direction all went beyond our expectations. They listen, they adjust, they clean up, they’re great to work with.

From beginning to end, our experience with Narrow Lane was first rate. The project got started with a Zoom call with Ron, who then came out for a site visit. This was the first time I worked with a landscaper that really took the time to talk through my vision for the project while offering their own suggestions for what might look good or fare better in the climate. Brendan was our project manager, and he was fantastic. We made several tweaks to the design, but I never had the slightest indication that this was a nuisance for the landscaper. Brendan always seemed 100% motivated by coming up with a design that we would love, and we do! The planting crew was courteous and professional, and their execution of Brendan's design completely transformed our backyard. He even offered to come by and check on the plantings and sod the week we're going on vacation, soon after the work was completed. I couldn't be happier with Narrow Lane, and would highly recommend!

We had a great experience working with Jeremy and Narrow Lane. Jeremy helped create/implement a design that we can build towards over several years. We added privacy shrubs, lots of plantings, a side walkway, fencing, hydration system, and deck lattice. The work turned out amazing and the whole crew was extremely professional, fast, and skilled. Not the cheapest but worth it for their quality and wide range of work.

We contacted Narrow Lane with some ideas of how we wanted to change our backyard and front yard, but they helped to transform them into a beautiful space beyond our expectations. We had an uneven backyard covered in crabgrass, surrounded by a broken fence. The driveway was 40 years old, with more crabgrass covering the front yard. The Narrow Lane team executed flawlessly, including leveling the backyard, a new paved patio with a pergola, a new fence, electrical work and irrigation, a new driveway, a porch refresh, and a beautiful front yard. Matt and his team were very professional and mindful of our neighbors, not leaving debris behind. They worked meticulously without cutting corners. This was a rare case where I felt we needed to pay more for the work. I highly recommend Narrow Lane for any landscaping projects.

We hired The Narrow Lane to redo our backyard and driveway. Before starting the project, we had a sloped yard that was overgrown with shrubs with little to no usable space. We didn’t know what was possible, but after talking to Ron began to understand its potential. Over the course of the next few months, Ron and his team completely transformed our yard into a serene outdoor living area. They leveled the backyard and installed a beautiful patio, retaining wall, lighting, landscaping, and privacy fencing. They also repaved our driveway and installed pavers at the entrance. The team was incredibly professional and executed their work with a high degree of quality. Throughout the whole project Ron was considerate of our budget, and made sure that our original plans and mid-project change orders were carefully crafted to not exceed a limit we were comfortable with. We would certainly hire The Narrow Lane again and recommend them for anyone looking to redesign their outdoor space!

We used Narrow Lane for two phases of our backyard project and we couldn't be happier. They literally made our backyard dreams come true! We went from a swampy, moss-infested patio to a bluestone patio, built-in kitchen, double sided fireplace, and built-in spa. Our backyard feels like an oasis and we never want to leave! I worked with Alison from The Narrow Lane on a landscape design for our front and back yards that included plants, grass and irrigation. The finished product is gorgeous and just what we hoped! Alison was an absolute pleasure to work with - she is very knowledgeable, easy to communicate with and gets the job done! Working with The Narrow Lane was seamless. They were organized, responsive and came up with a beautiful plan for our backyard that they executed in a timely manner with amazing professionalism. A couple of our bluestone pavers discolored and they were out within days to replace them to ensure we were happy with their service. We plan on using them to renovate the front of our house within the next year so would highly recommend them!

I worked with Ronnie and his team for a stone patio project in my back yard. I really liked the whole process from the beginning. They were very efficient and they explained everything upfront. Long story short, my blue stone patio with seating walls and plant garden came out beautiful. It changed the whole scenery of my back yard. Everyone admires my patio, and it made my Summer so much enjoyable. They finished the job on time and the quality of work was very good. I highly recommend Ronnie and his team.

The whole team at The Narrow Lane is amazing. From the concept of the design to the choosing of materials and execution, they remained patient, accommodating and professional. They listened to my thoughts on how I wanted the space to look and created a beautiful outdoor oasis we can enjoy for years to come. They also dealt with intricacies related to the scope of work as we had conservation committee restrictions. Looking to have some trees installed in our backyard in Boston. Wasn't super easy to find a landscaper looking to do work in the city. Jeremy and Matt from The Narrow Lane we're fantastic. We weren't totally sure what we wanted or what would fit best with our setup -- Jeremy was fantastic walking us through all the options, pricing, etc. Install was a breeze with Matt looking over the work we ran into an unexpected snag with the location and Matt and the guys we're able to pivot quickly to install a great looking product. 100% recommend working with The Narrow Lane.

The landscapers are some of the most hardworking guys, working in all weather to get the job done. Very impressed and I am looking forward to phase 2 of my landscaping this fall.

The Narrow Lane does amazing work! Jeremy really brought our vision to life and broke the entire design down into digestible phases that wouldn’t break the bank. The crew showed up early one Monday and we’re done the following Monday. Professional and communicative from start to finish. Can’t wait to have them back for the next phases of our project.

Overall we are happy with how everything has turned out with our new patio and yard. Narrow Lane was certainly not the cheapest bid we received, but they were willing to work with me to reduce the costs where possible. During the construction process they were very professional and owned any mistakes that came up and, communicated perfectly and ensured everything on the job was done right in the end. The crew was always kind and respectful of us and our property. After the job was completed they ensured we were happy with everything and have been happy to answer any questions I had about upkeep and maintenance. These reasons have made us happy that we choose Narrow Lane to do this work for us.
