I had a great experience working with Jon Quinn of Hartney Greymont. Jon conducted a thorough assessment of my property’s entire landscape — lawn, trees, and shrubs — and clearly explained and documented his findings and recommendations. He identified a crack at the union of a tree and recommended installing a support cable to stabilize it, and he proposed a measured treatment plan for another 50‑ft tree that has small pockets of decay and dead bark rather than immediately recommending removal. That balanced approach (versus others who only suggested insect treatments or full removal) gave me confidence in his judgment.
Jon patiently answered every question I had and made sure I understood and felt comfortable with each proposed plan. The crews who performed the work were courteous and professional, followed Jon’s directions, and left the site clean and orderly when the job was complete.

When a 50 foot elm fell onto our house during a strong wind storm, I called multiple companies for quotes and assistance. The team at Hartney Greymont was one of the first teams available to come to our house. We spoke with John who was very knowledgeable about trees. Their pricing was competitive and a great value for the service and care that is provided. They were able to finish the bulk of the work done on the weekend (which was a priority for us but a difficult ask for many of the other companies I had contacted). I really appreciate the great service the team provided and the care they've shown for the long-term health of trees. I recommend without hesitation!

We hired Hartney Greymont to install cabling in a tall pine tree and prune our 50+ year-old elm, and they did excellent work on both. On Monday during the blizzard a huge branch from our Norway spruce cracked and fell on our patio. On Tuesday, I spoke with Hartney Greymont and within 20 minutes of my call, Jonathan Quinn was at our house inspecting the damage. On Wednesday morning Jon sent us a quote outlining the suggested work. By Friday the branch was removed and they were able to save the tree. Everyone I spoke with was knowledgeable, courteous, and competent. The work performed was professionally handled with proper safety equipment. Overall a great experience.

Marvin and his team did a good job. They removed 2 large oak trees and trimmed 1 pine tree. There were a few minor issues with fence damaged and 4x4 bird post copper pipe was broken. Otherwise they cleaned up the area well.

I would recommend them. I interviewed 3 tree removal services and their pricing was much higher and was only to remove the large branches, not the entire trees.

No one wants to talk about this kind of thing, but when you have to, these guys are great. Very friendly, show up on time, and are very reasonably priced. I have used them for years. They make scheduling easy, they even find the top of the septic, if you don't remember where it is.

Today is our first time using Doug's septic cleaning service. We are very very very satisfied with his service: Doug is super knowledgeable and professional. We needed a quick pump of our system due to an operating issue. They were extremely quick to respond and help out. Their knowledge of the system was exceptional and they spent extra time cleaning the system and figuring out the operating issue. Our previous contractor was not nearly as thorough, and there is no way they would have either expressed concerns to me or stuck around to figure out the problem. In the end, I couldn’t be happier with the results or professionalism of DL Atkinson!
