Very quick response for an ice damn issue. Team got to my house in 48 hours and cleared snow and ice from roofs. Provided plenty of pictures after the job was done. Will definitely call them again for future roofing work.

I had my chimney crown repaired, 10% of the bricks repointed, lead flashing replaced and the bricks ChemTreat'd. The 3 person crew were neat and thorough. They weren't the least expensive team, but they were professional and accommodated my schedule. They also took down and reinstalled my HD antenna. Great job 👍

Reached out to GF Sprague after noticing the Ice Dam buildup on my roof and received an immediate response from the team. Initially, met with Justin, who walked me through the removal process and took the initial assessment of what work needed to be done, checking on the exterior and interior of my home. When we decided to schedule the Ice Dam removal for the next morning, Nate and his crew arrived right at the scheduled start time and were ready to get to work. Kudos to Nate for reaching out to me to let me know his time of arrival. Nate and his team were super efficient and cleaned up after removing the ice and snow! The crew finished earlier than expected and went ahead and removed additional ice and snow that was not part of the initial removal job. I will be reaching out to GF Sprague for any further roofing issues and hopeful for a new roof install in the Spring!

Nate and his team were timely and efficient in removing snow and ice from the roof. A section of our roof doesn’t get sunlight and tends to develop ice dams after big storms. Their work on my roof made a huge difference. Nate’s team did a great job!

We had a leak on the back part of our roof and on the dormer. Roof over 20 years old. Justin from the sales team came out promptly and gave us a good read on our roof’s major and minor deficiencies, laying out different options at different price points. We decided to do a full new roof with new gutters. We compared the quote to three other vendors and found it most competitive - high-quality shingle materials combined with relatively low price. A team of about ten people came out within three weeks and completed the job in 2.5 days. My one small knock was that the sales team said fascia only needed partial replacement, but it ended up being a full replacement, thus requiring a separate quote and higher cost. But this was only a small portion of the total project. The team provided a lot of photographs of the project, so we had good visibility on progress and the final results

We had a great experience with the company all the workers were great. They knew what they were doing through the process. We were kept informed by the project manager at all times they protected all my plant materials around the house. They cleaned up every nail, shingle and paper at the end of each day. I would highly recommend GF Sprague to anyone who is looking for high quality workmanship in replacing their roof.

Responsive throughout process, from few quote to finish. Final cost exactly what was quoted at start. In-site people were courteous, hard-working and left the project site as they found it. Very happy with both outcome and process.

We've engaged GF Sprague for many years for all our roofing needs. We have complicated requirements spanning slate, copper, & asphalt with lots of peaks & valleys, so expertise is a must. Sprague reps have always been supremely professional & responsive. The January 2026 storm resulted in ice dams & ceiling leaks, and Matt & Nate were on top of the situation--literally--in a flash, sparring us from far more significant damage and many days of difficulty. Matt even helped with an unrelated concurrent household disaster--amazing. In summary, top-notch & highly recommended!

Above and beyond! Initially, I was told the project was too small (shed roof) but almost immediately someone contacted me to apologize and gave me a quote on the phone. I had gotten 2 other quotes and they were by far the most reasonable. The communication ahead the project was great, they showed up on time, the installer was friendly and the work was excellent. Even replaced the drip edge I had with a better one. Will be using them on a siding project soon and highly recommend!

Sprague was doing major work on our neighbor's roof. Our roof needed a small repair and since the Sprague crew was right there, I contacted the office and asked if they could take a look at our issue too. I got a call back from Matt D'Agostino who asked me to send him a picture of the needed repair. I was very pleasantly surprised that he said they would do our small repair at no cost! The team did an excellent job and the repair looks as good as new!!

The work performed by Ryan Carr and his crew was impeccably done. They completed everything quickly, efficiently and cleaned up the site even clearing leaves that had been there before. This would have been a 5 star review if not for the sales process and scoping document. I had discussed removing an entire slate roof from one building on the property and retaining some of the slate for future repairs of the other building. The sales person outline the front of the building indicating work was to be performed on “This Roof”. His understanding was it would be apparent that it referred only to the front part of the roof whereas my understanding was that”This Roof” refers to the entire roof of the building (otherwise it should have noted “front half of the roof”). The price quoted seemed reasonable for removing the entire roof but exorbitant if it only covered half of the roof removal. Had I realized that I would have adjusted the scope of work to only cover removing enough tile to reserve for future repairs and leave the rest up there. Unfortunately during my call to clarify, the sales person was more insistent on proving that he was right and I was wrong rather than trying to figure out a path forward that would have at least acknowledged there was room for a different interpretation and tried to come up with a compromise.

I’m now torn as to whether engage GF Sprague for putting up the new roof on my building. On the one hand the work was expertly performed but on the other hand I found dealing with the sales person unpleasant and not sure I want to reward that attitude with more work.

So in summary, great quality of work, poor sales customer service.

We appreciated GF Sprague's professionalism and promptness. We had an ice dam situation in Winter 2026 and woke up one morning to a drip from the ceiling. We called GF Sprague and they arrived later that morning. Steve H from their team was phenomenal. He diagnosed the situation, including an inspection of the attic and climbing the roof. He shoveled the snow off the roof, stopping the leak. Throughout his visit, he was clear and patient - showing us pictures of what he was seeing. He called us while on the rooftop to send pictures and to confirm the next step of shoveling off the snow. We highly recommend GF Sprague and will certainly call them for future work on the exterior of the house.

The team were incredibly efficient clearing all the snow off our condo roof, and shedding the ice dams that were cascading down the side of the building. They managed to wheelbarrow snow away from our trash cans and making an easier path for us. They were courteous, efficient, and on time. I would recommend this company anytime.

I have never dealt with ice damming before and it is really destructive. I called this company who were so helpful in getting me help the next day (!) to get rid of the snow and ice on the roof. Mark came out to assess the damage and Nate was the lead guy who got the work done. Nate kept me informed of their arrival time and appreciated the pictures of the work afterwards!

All of the office staff I dealt with were friendly and responsive also - Chet and Lisa- and I would not hesitate to use GF Sprague again!

I had great experience working with GF Sprague Exteriors from start to finish. I had an ice dam problem with water dripping from the ceiling. I received an immediate response from the team and the following morning Nate came to assess the situation, climbed to the attic, inspected the rest of the house and walked me through the process of snow/ice removal. The work crew arrived on time, worked nonstop for two hours, cleaned everything up after removing snow and ice. Above and beyond! They did a fantastic job!

I contracted with them to fix a problematic area of my roof. The initial quote and scheduling process was very easy and they were very communicative throughout the process. On the day of the gentleman arrived at the scheduled time, he seemed knowledgeable about the issue and finished on time and put all the siding back so it looked clean! Overall I would recommend this company!

Great experience working with GF Sprague. The job was technically and logistically challenging requiring a crane and street closures in Boston. GF Sprague staff were responsive and executed well despite a couple scheduling changes. Project manager Nate was very good and personable - they did excellent work.
