I was looking to have my old, tired, lumpy driveway replaced and expanded and I waited until late in the season (late September) to start due to indecision. I contacted Lamacchia through the website and within a week, Joe was at my house taking measurements and thoroughly examining the jobsite. I was very pleased with the Estimate provided and they were able to get me onto their schedule quickly. They were very professional the entire time, they started working first thing in the morning and worked past sunset on occasion. Joe and Joey were a pleasure to work with and I look forward to working with Lamacchia for any future landscape construction projects. I am exceedingly thrilled with my new driveway (look at the picture attached!!)!!

We recently added an addition to the back of our house and needed to extend our driveway. I reached out to several companies, but Lamacchia stood out right away. They were not only the fastest to respond but also the most professional and friendly. They came out almost immediately to walk me through my options, handled everything with the town, and gave us a clear one-week notice before starting the work. Just over a week later, we had a brand-new, beautifully finished driveway. I would highly recommend Lamacchia to anyone considering any landscaping work. I'm already thinking about other things I can have them do!

Overall very satisfied with the Lamacchia team. From day one Joey and his team were very helpful and professional. It started with the home assessment and working through what we wanted for our backyard. We initially started out with a much larger project view and were able to scale it back. The entire time there was no pressure from the Lamacchia team. They wanted to do what we wanted. Once we finally settled on a definitive plan Joey came back by the house and finalized the details of our back patio. They dropped off samples and allowed us to visualize the different colors of the pavers to be used on the patio. Once we settled on that they actual project moved along very quickly. Day one they cleared the area for the patio, day two they placed the patio and then, once the weather cleared, they redid all of the landscaping. The entire time Joey was in communication while his team was working at the house.

Overall we are very satisfied with the way the patio came out and the way the landscaping turned out. Initially when looking around for a team to redo our backyard we found multiple possibilities, but we settled with the Lamacchia team and we are more than thrilled with the way everything turned out. I highly recommend this team to take care of any backyard needs. They truly delivered on our back yard.

These guys were great! I've worked with landscape construction companies before and they're generally really disorganized. From the moment I contacted them, they have an attentive customer service representative named Nathalia who was extremely responsive. Joe came out and helped scope the project, and then Joey managed the whole thing from start to finish. The workers were here all day working hard and built two large retaining walls, planted 7 x 8'ft trees and tied in everything perfectly with all the details. I had fantastic experience working with Lamacchia, and definitely recommend their work.

Very Happy with results! Very professional, they just came and did their thing. When a small problem arose with finished product, they came back, called it unacceptable, apologized, and fixed it with no hassle. I would use them again.

My front lawn was consumed by crabgrass and looked terrible. Joey Lamacchia and his team came in and removed the crabgrass and soil and replaced it with 4” of fresh loam and seed. Lamacchia was, by far, the best company I have worked with on home improvements (and I've worked with many, as we have a fixer-upper in Watertown). In only two weeks, their crew replaced over 100 feet of crumbling retaining wall, leveled our yard, and added a 750 sqft walkway and patio. The entire crew was diligent, professional, and communicative, including Joey, the owner, and Rob, the construction manager. We especially appreciated having input from Matt, the in-house designer, who helped us understand what would look good in our yard. I had a very specific look in mind when I decided I wanted to redo my front walkway and put in a back patio. Correspondence with Jackie the office support was extremely professional and she was responsive to get me on the schedule. Joey Lamacchia, the owner, came to the appt as planned and took a video of our yard and listened to what I wanted. Got my estimate within a day and compared it to others and it was in line. I chose the Unilock Copthorne paver which is typically used in border settings as it’s a more expensive paver but I wanted this look and wanted it to last. It was a difficult job but he seemed game to tackle it.

Joey’s team didn’t make me wait and we were installing soon after. Demo happened first day and the team was quick. They were really respectful and diligent putting in full days to get my walkway and patio done. They took care of every step from the removal of concrete, disposal, procuring of crushed stone, fill, and even seeded at the end. And it looks fantastic.

It is hand blended with 3 different colors and the patio is 90 degree herringbone while the walkway is a 45 degree herringbone going towards the house. I love it and it added such charm to our almost 100 year old house. I would highly recommend.

Very pleased with the work Lamacchia did on several older bluestone patios at our home. Hector and his crew worked diligently and long in re-laying the stones. Great to see Joe (owner) join the crew in the final project phase. It turned out great!

Absolutely recommend!! We redid our “builder grade” back patio with Joe LaMacchia and his great team. We made our patio twice as large and did a built in bbq. The design process was so fun and Joe had great input and was open to everything! Costs were explained thoroughly and in advance. Once we finalized the plan, it was done so quickly!! Rob was our great foreman and he was on site ever day. He was so easy to get in touch with for any questions and even involved my two young boys in the process. They loved it. We loved the back so much, we decided to redo our front walk and plantings. I am so impressed with the process and obviously the finished product is stunning. One additional thing that really stood out - his team would sweep up our yard and even the street in front of our house before leaving every night. Fantastic family business!! Can’t wait to enjoy the backyard this summer!

If you never want to hear back from a company again, then reach out to Lamacchia Landscape. I already heard mixed reviews from friends about the company but decided to give it a try. Jackie both emailed and called me to schedule an appointment with Joey to come evaluate my walkway and driveway. Joey came the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and gave me some suggestions as to what would be best. He said to expect a quote around Saturday. It was a holiday weekend so I waited a bit longer then reached out by phone and email. My emails were never answered, phone calls were always fielded when Jackie had no problem responding earlier.

My business clearly wasn't enough for them so they decided to never follow up. I see why no one around my neighborhood uses this company for landscaping now.

We couldn't be happier with the incredible work this team did on our backyard renovation! LaMacchia completely transformed our tired and overgrown backyard into an oasis for our family oasis.

They re-used much of the existing blue-stone materials to make a clean new patio for us that perfectly fits against our house. They also helped design a playground area that is both safe and fun for the kids. Plus, they put down a new lawn that ties it all together and looks great.

Joey and his team was great to work with, and were very professional throughout the entire project. They showed up on time, kept the work area clean, and were always happy to answer questions. The project was completed on schedule and within budget.

I used Lamacchia for a large landscaping project that involved flattening our back yard, constructing multiple retaining walls and installing a bluestone patio. This was a big job but Joey and the team were more than up to the task and were fantastic every step of the way! The quality of the work is outstanding and Joey is always available to promptly address any questions or concerns. I will not hesitate to use Lamacchia again for any future outdoor projects!

We engaged Lamacchia last summer to transform our backyard into a multi-use space, and could not be happier with our selection. From the start, Joey was transparent about costs and broke everything out in a way that allowed us to pick and choose where to spend vs. find savings. From the start, there was great response time and collaboration with Joey, Rob and the design team. They listened to our end goals, offered suggestions along the way, and made it all happen. They used great sub-contractors and the pricing was as expected. As an example of innovation, they suggested we re-locate HVAC units rather than covering them up, and for very little cost provided a huge impact to our space. They personally showed up to measure, inspect quality, help us pick materials, etc. I could go on and on about all the small details, but the big picture is we have our dream backyard and it was done on schedule and on cost! This company is incredible and I highly recommend them for a large scope project like this!

The Lamacchia team has done maintenance around our property through the last few seasons, and they have really helped bring our lawn (well loved by dog and small kids) back to life in just a few cycles. I appreciate the regular service, but what I'm most impressed by is how the team works with us on emergencies (a fallen tree from a neighbor's property on our garage) and blue sky projects. They did an incredible job with repairing and replacing our walkway, and have been great collaborators for future plans with improving hardscaping around our deck.

I had the good fortune of Cindy Stumpo building our house. It all started when we had walked though a house that was being built by her. We loved it but it was way out of our budget, so we kept looking. After viewing a house that was at the top of our budget (and we hated it) my husband and I went to grab a quick dinner at Misono in West Roxbury. Fate or God (which ever you believe) put us at the table right next to Cindy, Ray and Samantha. Since we had never met her or seen her shows, we had no idea it was her. We ended up chatting and she introduced herself. I about choked on my sushi. We introduced ourselves and said we had loved a house she was building but couldn't afford it. She informed us she had just bought a property in the area we were looking to buy and then offered her cell phone number and said "it's yours until you tell me you don't want it." WHAT?!?! Who says that? We met with her the following week, met with her architect, informed her of our very strict budget and thus started the journey of 9 mos until we moved into our totally customized, hand picked, beautiful dream house.
We have now been in our house over 5 years and it still looks brand new! Very little settling cracks, opening of finish work joints, nothing. AND ANY TIME we have ever had a minor issue, Cindy is there to make it right.
She delivered our house before promised which was under 9 months and on budget!! Not many/any contractors can do this!
Having a house built was a stressful and exciting experience. As a woman, you would think that meeting with her subs (mostly male) would be intimidating; not Cindy's crew! What a class act! I always felt respected and heard! This could be our forever house, but I'd really love to get the chance to build with Cindy again. It's in God's hands.

Cindy is a powerhouse. Here is a woman that knows her industry and her own abilities more than anyone else out there. She is incredibly talented and successful, Even with that success she is down to earth and goes to great lengths to give of herself- albeit her advise , her wisdom, and even the occasional referral.... in my case It was all 3. She actually geve me some of the best advise about a year ago and for that I will be forever grateful. A true Class act, a true Human being

I grew up watching these gorgeous homes being constructed. I was always amazed at how stunning they were, from frame to finish. I noticed her personal number was posted on the company sign. One evening, I decided to contact Cindy, and she quickly returned my call! I was in shock. I couldn’t believe it was actually Cindy Stumpo calling me back. We spoke for over an hour, and I’m happy to now call her a close friend, mentor, and boss. She is undoubtedly the most caring and dedicated person I’ve had the honor of meeting.

I’ve had the pleasure to know Cindy for over ten years. She’s not only got the Biggest heart and always has your back. Cindy is truly as “tough as nails” in the workplace and authentic in everything she does.
I’ve known her to stay up all night and personally finish the touch ups herself to get the owners in on time. I’ve met her contractors that adore her and go to the end of the earth to get things Right..., now that’s saying a lot about a builder!
