Cindy built our beautiful home a few years ago and to this day, we remain in close touch. Once you’re her client, you’re her client for life. She built an amazing house that we love and we are always able to turn to her if we need anything at all...even 7 years later!! Cindy is hands on, keeps her word, and goes above and beyond the call of duty for her clients. We can’t wait to build our next home with her!

Everyone knows that Cindy Stumpo is known for building beautiful homes throughout Newton and Brookline. However, what many people don't know about Cindy is that once you become a client of C. Stumpo Development, you become an extended member of Stumpo family.

Cindy came to renovate our home in Brookline in 2020. We came to know Cindy through her daughter, Sam who was our Realtor. Cindy accompanied us to several homes to give us her perspective and estimates on construction costs. It was no brainer for us to work with Cindy when we purchased our home in Brookline. We moved during Covid from Boston to Brookline and Cindy worked tirelessly to get us into our home as fast as possible. I would often see her crew working at our home on weekends. Not only is Cindy a reputable builder, but she also has a keen eye on interior design. As first time homeowners, she was very hands on with us and steered us away from fads. She often took me on a tour of her homes and gave us design recommendations. Additionally, Cindy was diligent about checking in with our budget throughout the process to ensure we are not overspending in areas where it wasn't worth it.

It's been about a year since Cindy renovated our home and we are so thankful for all that she did for our family. We often check in with Cindy and Sam - we trust them wholeheartedly. Cindy has the best intention for her clients. She sets the bar high for other builders throughout the area. Cindy/Sam will always be in our lives and I recommend them to all our family and friends.

Cindy Stumpo has built two houses for us. After our first house, when we decided to build another, the only person who came to our mind was Cindy. Her houses are not only well designed but are also aesthetically beautiful. During the process, which is very stressful, she literally held our hand and helped us through. The best part of getting houses built by Cindy is that she does not stop once the house has been built. She is ready with her support years after the house has been made. A million stars! In 2009, Cindy built a home for me and my family. Cindy is a creative genius! She carefully manages every aspect of her home building projects. Cindy listens, really listens, to what is important to her clients. Through constant communication, Cindy and the team, utilizing beautifully selected materials, execute with expertise and precision. Cindy truly creates masterpieces. Throughout the process, long lasting relationships are created and clients like me, really feel like family.

Having witnessed every single stage of the construction and living in the house for over three years now, I can say that the quality of our home is absolutely outstanding. C. Stumpo Development built a house for me. Or rather, I bought a new construction from them at an early stage and moved about 7 months later.
I rarely write reviews, but Cindy (and her company) is an exceptional phenomenon in the world of building construction, a phenomenon that anyone who has ever owned real estate will immediately recognize and appreciate.
First, Cindy takes pride in her work. Pride that is founded not in the flashiest houses (although the properties she develops are mostly spectacular), not in the loudest marketing (although most people in Eastern Mass who somehow come in contact with real estate know her name) and not even in a "customer is always right" attitude (although anyone I know who ever lived in a house she built or otherwise dealt with her love the results) but in the continuous tenacious strive to deliver the best product possible.
This review is too short to tell you numerous stories of how Cindy pondered every single detail with us, guiding us through the process, redoing the completed work that we already approved , on her own dime, because she found a better solution, but the point is : there are very few people in this world left, in any business, who are that focused on the quality of their work and the perfection of the result.
Last but not least, the loyalty that Cindy has to her customers. I am an inherently skeptical person and when I heard that "with Cindy you have a friend for life. Cindy stands behind her product forever" I did not pay much attention. After all "building contractor" and "trustworthy" in this day and age is not exactly the first analogy that comes to mind.
But very quickly into the process I realized that to my great astonishment - this is all for real. There are very few business associates, outside perhaps of the circle of a couple of childhood friends, that I trust half as much as I trust Cindy.
Again, the stories are numerous: first the ability to complete everything exactly as she told us at the peak of the Covid (spring 2020), then a few weeks after we moved it, a hurricane dropped a huge tree on top of our house damaging it significantly. Cindy was on site within a few hours and within 4 days everything was like new , including logistics and dealing with insurance, and I did not have to lift a finger. I had an issue in the condo we rent out , 5 towns away from Cindy's area, and she took care of that as well solving in a couple of weeks problems that would take me months, problems that have nothing to do with the house she built for us.
We have lived in the house Cindy built for over 2 years and still if there is any problem we have, whether it has anything to do with Cindy's work or not, she is there to help with all her skills, knowledge, connections and tenacity.
So, yes, this is exactly as it reads: once you come into Cindy's orbit - you have a rare friend for life. I can only hope I can someday do anything to be as good a friend for her as she is for us.

UPD:
I has been 2+ years since we moved in and can attest now not only for the elegance of selected solutions the quality and durability of the work and materials. Despite the warranty expired long ago, Cindy promptly attends and generously resolves any issues, problems or questions we have , even if they lie far outside of most broadly defined responsibility of the builder. We have never seen such a responsible , supportive brand in any industry: construction or otherwise.

Cindy built our house in 2005. I can’t even imagine going through this process with any other builder. Our house is a modern historic landmark ( not what you would typically imagine Cindy building) she helped us to find the right architect, to deal with historic committee, to make sure all the materials would fit the landmark criteria. She was at the site every single day. There was never a day when her subs didn’t show up. Her scheduling is impeccable, even with the unpredictable nature of construction, she managed to shift things around to make sure we stayed on time and budget. Great majority of her subs has been working with her for over a decade. 15 years later, our house still looks and feels new, and any time something breaks, all it takes is one quick phone call to Cindy, and the problem is solved! I highly recommend hiring Cindy for all your house building needs! She is a highly professional, knowledgeable, organized and caring person.

Cindy and her team are beyond amazing! This team goes above and beyond the call of building! There is not one detail left unturned. Every thought is immediately put into action with the highest quality of materials and results. Cindy is extremely accomplished as a builder, developer and a business woman for over 35 years because she truly cares about her client’s. Home is where the heart is! Cindy has an amazing heart with a talent to get things done! Anyone would be so lucky to have the ability to work with someone as effective and efficient as Cindy and her team.

Cindy is more than just an unbelievable builder, she’s family! She goes above and beyond on every single detail of the process. She genuinely cares and makes herself available to make sure the finished product is exactly what you expect. She knows her stuff and will make you feel at ease. She made sure we were in our house before the new year since it was very important to us. My family and I are so grateful to her and the amazing job she did with our beautiful home.

Cindy is the absolute best! She is honest and true to her word. She helped my husband and I create the perfect house, was always available for questions and consultations. She listens carefully, understands your needs and then can make things happen! We had some firm deadlines and Cindy stayed on time and on budget!!! Her advice was always spot on and there is a reason she has been a top builder for so long. And years later, she is still always available to help. Cindy built a home for our family 3 years ago. She is a superb builder and has a great team of hard working talented professionals around her. She started on time and finished on time. She kept us very involved in the process from day 1 and devoted a lot of time to explain the pros and cons of every decision, which was very valuable to us as it was our first time building a house. She never hesitated to have work re-done at her own expense when the initial try didn't fit her very high standards. She cares about every house she builds as if it was her own. And the end result was an unbelievable home for our family.

Having said all this, the part of the experience of building the house I enjoyed the most was that we had the opportunity to get to know Cindy at a more personal level. We moved into one of Cindy's beautiful homes 2 years ago and love it! The craftsmanship, attention to detail and quality are superb, no detail has been overlooked. Furthermore, Cindy is always at the end of the phone if we have questions or something needs fixing , she is super reliable and responsive, and on call 24/7. Cindy doesn't stop working! The relationship with Cindy didn't end when we moved in, in fact our working relationship turned into friendship as our respect and admiration for her grew. I wanted to write this review on Cindy at C.Stump Development for many reasons!
I have watched this woman work 24/7 with maybe 5 hours a sleep a day, as long as I’ve know her.
Her clients call her and she and the team go running. Every time.
More importantly, when I came into Cindy’s life we would have to hit sometimes
3-4 parties on a weekend night. I was a little shocked that her clients still wanted her to hang out with her after she built their home! It’s not the “typical” builder/client relationship.
After 14 years of watching this behavior, I’m still astonished that her clients are all personal friends. That’s pretty special. When I built my home I did not have that feeling for my builder, actually it was quite the opposite.
I give this woman praise in all the areas of her company. I can only imagine what Cindy went through at 23 years of age, in 1989 becoming a girl builder.
I hold her in the highest regard, with the utmost respect.
By the way I’m proud to say she is my fiancé!

We messaged Cindy 6 years ago asking if she would build us our dream home, never thought we would be so lucky! but she and her amazing daughter Sam stuck it out with us till we found the right space and built us beautiful home! Cindy and her team are there for us 24/7, no questions asked! We feel very grateful to be where we are and to have her in our lives!
