Constraction reviews in Salem, Massachusetts

I had 4 projects in July-August 2024, it was for repairs on plastering and painting for water damaged ceilings inside my house. Carpentry repairs on the outside of the house and a complete painting of the house. I also had my outside deck completely replaced with new decking and composite railings. All projects were completed in a very timely manner. Pricing for all the projects was very fair and reasonable. My wife and I would highly recommend Patrick and his team for any type of work you might have. His workers always cleaned up every day they worked and were very reliable and respectful working in and around my house. My wife and I are very pleased at the work that was completed.

Patrick was polite and informative in his communication. I was impressed with the follow up pictures demonstrating the work done. His staff were very professional and worked diligently to complete the job. We were very happy with this work and would use Osgood Construction again.
Thank you

As homeowners, we can honestly say having our roof replaced by Patrick Osgood and Sons Constructions, LTD., was a perfect experience in terms of high standards, professionalism, quality and safety. From start to finish, our experience with Patrick, his office staff and roofing workers was impeccable. They get our highest recommendations for honesty, integrity and craftsmanship.

Patrick is knowledgeable, polite, approachable and easy to work with. He was accessible by phone and email, and answered our many questions promptly and thoroughly. He provided us with 3 different roofing options. His bid was very competitive with other estimates we received. He went over our contract in detail, which was straightforward and followed to the letter. Our permit was obtained expeditiously and all roofing supplies and equipment arrived in advance of the work date, exactly as promised. There were no delays or unexpected surprises, it was seamless and all according to plan.

The foreman on our project has been with Patrick for 18 years. He was excellent and very professional. We also appreciated that the roofers are company employees versus subcontractors. They arrived promptly, were courteous, worked diligently, really paid attention to details and had a great work ethic. Everyone was considerate of us, our dog, house and property. When their work was finished, the workers thoroughly inspected and cleaned our yard. Not even a scrap of an old shingle or nail remained anywhere. But, they did leave us with a durable, very high-quality, absolutely beautiful roof.

Thank you, Patrick, Dennis and everyone that worked so hard and well on our roof. We appreciate you.

I hired Patrick Osgood & Sons this past September to work on my attic that needed a full structural reinforcement and also to insulate the pipes. The job was done so professionally. Patrick was very patient and kind throughout the process. The level of professionalism was top tier. Patrick was also able to accommodate me despite his busy schedule and the work was all done in a timely manner. They were very good with communication and I’m really satisfied with their excellent work. I am looking forward to using this company in the near future and will recommend Patrick Osgood and Sons to all friends and family👍🏽

Osgood Construction did an excellent job installing a gutter system around my home. Other contractors were not very clear regarding how they would attach the gutters to our home with angled fascia or had ideas that would not work well in practice. Patrick and members of his team described how they would fabricate brackets to attach to the fascia so that the gutters would function while maintaining the aesthetics of the home. Both the fabrication and installation teams completed the project professionally, and it works and looks great too!

Home renovation projects can be daunting. Patrick spent extra time with us discussing the scope of our exterior painting and carpentry plans to make sure we were comfortable. As the work progressed and we had questions Patrick was responsive and accommodating. Anything we weren't completely happy with he made right and he didn't consider the project complete until we were 100% satisfied. Would definitely call for future projects.

Outstanding customer experience from Estimate to planning to performance and post performance review. Patrick is the best in painting and carpentry work. And his team is unsurpassed in quality work and polite professionalism. Run don t walk to Osgood for your home needs!

Patrick Osgood and Sons Construction Ltd did a fantastic job on our project. The work was completed on time, with great quality and attention to detail. Patrick’s team was professional, reliable, and easy to work with. They’re truly the best construction company in Salem, MA, and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing top-notch work. Denise

Our HOA needed to contract some repairs to our roof and gutter system, and Patrick Osgood gave us the best quote. He was also very patient as our three condo inhabitants were never around at the same time to confirm the contract!

We are delighted with the work and the care his team provided us and with the products he used. He even chose to fix a window frame that wasn't part of our contract!.

We will definitely use his company again!!

Thanks Patrick and team!

I have utilized The Osgood Companies for many home improvement and maintenance projects including a kitchen remodel, patio, walkway, interior painting and roof.
Always extremely professional and courteous, update regularly as to progress of work and a neat/clean job site was maintained at all times.

I am so pleased with the quality of work they did on my house. It clearly had not been painted thoroughly in a very long time - so in addition to painting - there was a considerable amount of repair required. The workers were also extremely professional and courteous- the job site was immmaculate at the end of each day. Would highly recommend them for any work you want done on your house.

I contacted the Osgood Companies because of a concern I had with my roof which was quite old and I believed needed replacement. I had the roof inspected, and it was recommended that it be replaced due to its age and failure of some of the shingles. Owner Patrick Osgood personally contacted me and we discussed having the roof replaced, he then sent me several options and varying price points so that I would have options to think about. He steered me in the direction of Tamko shingles, a premium product of which he is the only authorized installer in all of New England which come with a 50 year transferable warranty! I went with this option and we scheduled a date for the work to begin. Patrick stuck to this timeline and sent his in-house team of roofing, siding and window experts. His team arrived at my home on the schedule date and quickly moved any planted vegetation/patio furniture out of the way, put up tarps and dropped a dumpster as well as a Porta Potty! very professional! His team went to work precisely at 8 AM, which is an accordance with my towns noise ordinance, and by the time I arrived home that evening the job had been completed! This is not the first time I have contracted with the Osgood companies for renovations to my home and every time their work is exemplary, professional and done on time as specified in the contract!
I would recommend the Osgood companies to anyone looking for quality home improvements!

The front portico of our condominium property is an important and defining element that was in need of repair. We vetted three local and reputable companies that were disciplined in roofing, painting and restoration. We settled on Patrick Osgood and Sons Construction. Their proposal was detailed and their pricing was very reasonable. The crew stripped the old asphalt roof and replaced that with an EPDM rubber membrane roof complete with new vapor barrier, flashing and drip edge. They sanded and stripped the entire portico down to smooth surfaces. They calked, primed and then did a final sanding before applying two finish coats of Benjamin Moore Aura paint. The entire crew was extremely hard-working and very professional. They did a thorough cleaning of the property at the end of each day’s work. The end product is beautiful! We were very satisfied and highly recommend Patrick Osgood and Sons Construction.

Patrick Osgood Construction did a great job on our bedroom and living room renovation. The work was not done as quickly as quoted but it was completed. Patrick’s team was professional. I interviewed a few contractors before selecting Patrick to handle the renovation. I would recommend Osgood to my friends. Diane and Joe

"I couldn’t be happier with Patrick and his crew. Following a rain storm in December 2024, I called 5 different roofing companies, 3 called me back and 2 actually came to look at the roof. When the crew from Osgood came to look, they went up on the roof with a bucket of roofing cement and immediately patched the obvious areas of wear. Patrick came to the house a few days later, explained our options for roof repair and replacement. Since I knew the age of the roof, I went with the complete replacement. The process was fully explained and we were able to quickly schedule a date for replacement. As far as I could see, everything went like clockwork that day. The team stripped the old roof, repaired the underlying surface was able to replace the complete roof in one day. The dumpster was delivered the day before and removed from the driveway the day after. The day of the replacement and again the next day a crew of three to four were working on the ground picking up any debris on the ground or in the bushes. As I said above, I couldn’t be happier with the experience and the finished job. I will definitely look to Patrick Osgood and Sons Construction for any future projects. "

Horrible. Do not use these people. My father decided to help pay for new siding in September 2025.as of now, I am STILL waiting for them to finish.
1) they never asked me when it was ok to start. They just started. Dad doesnt live here. I am sole owner of house. They started without thw home owners permission
2) they threw away my storm windows after I told them no. Patrick said to me and I legit quote "they won't look good" I said idc, I cant afford new ones. Tossed them.
3) these nail were sticking out in my back hall for 3 weeks after that area was done. It took 35 days for them to come back and fix it!
4) the crew damaged many things on my property
5) they removed lighting, (which i get, totally fine) except it took over a month of calls and emails to get them to come back and put it back up. My driveway was pitch dark because no lighting and the c rew damaged my solar spotlight which they STILL have not compensated for.
6) I told them I wanted my storm windows back. They didnt even tell me they tossed them until about 2 months ago
7) today I went out and noticed the siding on one side is already warped.

HORRIBLE

Edit: I am not a woman, and they cant even get that right, as you can see by their reply. The father in question doesnt have anything to do with the property. And I have since gone to the city clerks office and pulled the permits to find that they have never even been signed!

I can't say enough great things about Patrick and his team. We worked with him on a smaller chimney repointing last year and this past November added pavers to our driveway. We plan on partnering with him on a few more projects in our old colonial home over the next several months (beam replacement, flooring, exterior painting etc). Patrick is super patient, honest about what would work for us to save us time and money, and his crew works really efficiently. Excited to work with Osgood again!

Can’t say enough about the services I’ve received. It’s like a best friend solving all your construction problems!! Very professional, Very thorough and I’m very happy to have received an outstanding referral!!

We highly recommend Deivid Teixeira Nunes of TS General Construction.

Deivid took on a pretty challenging project. In place of an old crumbling porch, we wanted to build a 2-story addition — a ensuite master bath, a sunroom and a functional and dry work out area in the basement. All of that within a small footprint. They demolished the porch and replaced it with a very solid and dry foundation. Over that Deivid created a gorgeous sunroom, and a stunning master bath. He and his talented team delivered high quality work. Needless to say, we get a lot of compliments from friends and neighbors. Most important of all, we ourselves get to enjoy (immensely) the wonderful new space every day!

The Salem crew did an outstanding job cleaning all vents and returns. The difference was immediate.

Shine Ducts Air Duct Cleaning Salem completed the job efficiently and left the ducts much cleaner.
