Most reviews concerning a major house renovation would probably start out... "it was a complete horror show, I would never use those guys again"... not this review. Groom Construction performed a major renovation of our three story 1769 home in Marblehead. They were very professional in their approach and execution, and their sub-contractors were excellent and helpful. This project was not a small task, it involved: complete rewiring, complete plumbing install, new central HVAC, all new bathrooms, and a complete new kitchen. All of this was done without harming the centuries-old soul of the house. There were a few hiccups along the way, mostly due to the pandemic and supply chain problems. At the end of the day, it was a job well done and to say we love our home would be an understatement. Thank you. -Nancy Mantilla and Andrew Finley

Staff is pretty unprofessional and unhelpful. I reached out to try and get an estimate on a new home build and after getting the run around for several weeks, Amy passive aggressively jumped down my throat about how I hadn’t provided the information or time they needed for a quote (no one l told me any of this, in fact when I originally sent the plans over I got a “this is great we’ll get back to you”). They refused to even give me a rough estimate (which Amy originally said only took a week, but then rolled back on that when I pointed out it had been longer than that) and it all felt kind of scammy so I ended up looking elsewhere. Although they list it on their website, it appears they’re not very interested in helping with your new home build. So just beware.

We have worked with Hunter on projects for a long time and really enjoy the collaboration with him and the company. He is easy to communicate with and always available when needed. Transparency and communication is key in this industry and both of those areas are at the highest standards.

My experience working with Project Manager, Hunter Penix, out of the Naples branch has been nothing short of amazing. Unlike many Project Managers in SWFL, Hunter takes the time to make his clients feel heard and understood. His prompt communication and oversight of my project helped the project flow smoothly from start to finish. Thanks again Hunter!

I've worked with Groom on multiple projects, their professionalism and attention to detail is above and beyond. Hunter, Ed, and Patrick do a great job keeping everything in order and communicating from the start to the very last detail needed. Best in the Business.

Chris is a really good craftsman and did great work for us on several jobs including roofing, steps and handrails, decking and more. His prices are good and he can take on small and big jobs.

Sadly this isn't a positive review. We asked that Ferguson Construction to come to our house to look at the renovation project.he did that and shared that he was interested in taking the project on. Since then some 5 texts and numerous calls that I made to him regarding any type of follow up have yet be returned. If it's beyond their skill level or they are too busy just say so. At this point their lack of professionalism and simple business courtsey overshadow what expectation I might have on their workmanship.

Chris did an awesome job with our porch renovation. Great craftsmanship, fair price, and excellent communication the whole way through. Super reliable and easy to work with. Highly recommend!

Patrick Osgood & Sons recently did a substantial amount of work to our house prior to us moving in. They not only did it in a reasonable timeframe, they were dependable and the work they did was professional. BROOKHOUSE Home is a historic sea captain's home turned resthome for elderly women located across from Derby Wharf here in Salem. We hired Osgood &Son to paint our hallways. Their work is both professional and of very good quality!

Work was completed very professionally and to budget. Crews were exceptionally courteous and kept the site tidy. If there was anything we would recommend they improve it's to standardize regular customer updates and status touch points.

Patrick Osgood & Sons Construction did some outside carpentry on my house as well as painted it. They did a great job. I continue to get compliments on the work as well as the color - which they also helped me choose. I will use them again.

Will never use this company again. Completely took advantage of my wife and I after we got flooded during the 1/13/24 storm. Never let us know what his services were going to cost after repeated requests for an update on costs. Was left in dark about what his 3rd party vendors were doing, was not involved in the decision making process throughout the whole job. To take advantage of people after their home has been flooded was not something i expected...lesson learned.

We had Osgood Construction install a new bulkhead. They were courteous, prompt, responsive and helpful even after we made revisions to the scope of the work. They were able to save and fix our door from the basement to the bulkhead which is almost 100 years old. Would highly recommend!

Patrick Osgood is very knowledgeable in planning and executing renovations, including renovations and cosmetics like painting. His employees and specialized trades subcontractors were all skilled, and their work reflects that. While any work involving what they did would involve some incovenience, they kept it to a minimum and were pleasant to deal with.
