Constraction reviews in Salem, Massachusetts

Pat and his team did a great job for us in building an art studio.
Gave us a detailed quote for the job and a timeline to complete and then went out and completed the job on time and in budget. Quality of work was excellent.

Responsive company! Excellent service. Several specialities: construction, painting, roofing to name a few. Patrick Osgood will come out and assess job. Knowledgeable and easy to work within your timeframe.

Patrick came through for me when a part of my third floor roof detached during a storm. His crew was great about photographing and communicating their findings once they were up on the roof and the extent of the problems became clear. Patrick and I subsequently discussed other home improvement projects I have in mind and I feel confident I can rely on Patrick’s team to do quality work when I’m ready to move forward with my next project.

Unsupervised workers and subcontractors resulted in poor craftmanship.
When we complained was told he doesn't like to work with "difficult customers"
We are redoing the floors and carpentry and painting.
Electricians broke 4 ceiling fans claiming they were defective. Plumbers flooded ceiling twice.
HVAC systems he put in did not qualify for Mass Rebates.
Outdoor work fine. Don't let them inside.

The Osgood team completed multiple projects (full paint + stone walkways + new construction) at our house during the height of the pandemic when supply chains were a struggle and protocols were difficult. They did excellent work at a very competitive price. We plan on using them again in the near future.

I had Patrick renovate our front porch which was in desperate need of repair. We ended up tearing it down due to structural issues and he rebuilt it exactly as I had envisioned and added a few touches that really made it stand out. Our neighbors and everyone who walked by made comments on how great it looked. Thank you for making it special and making my dream a reality!

We had Osgood & Sons do some work at our home this past summer of 2023. We replaced three gutters, rotting facia boards, down spouts and a birds nest living in our eve. They guys on the job were amazing. They showed up when the said they would and left the property clean and organized if they were coming back. The best part was that they handled the birds nest with care and made sure the nest was empty before removing it.
We are planning on painting with Osgoods & Sons again for Spring 2024.

I just wanted to thank Patrick Osgood and Sons Construction for helping my home become transformed. If you are located in the North Shore Mass there is no better business to deal with. Patrick pays special attention to each part of the project, thank you Patrick!

We have had Osgood work on several different projects for us, from exterior painting of two properties, interior painting and renovations. Always priced fair, high quality work and responsive if any issues come up. We will continue to use this company for future projects and recommend them without hesitation!

Osgood removed our existing back stairs and constructed a ramp to make our home wheelchair accessible. The guys were very courteous, and accomplished a ton of work in a very short time. We are very happy with the ramp, and additionally with the garage roof that they replaced for us.

I highly recommend Patrick Osgood. He was very communicative and spent time reviewing ideas and plans with us. His company was able to handle all facets of the construction plans. However, ultimately we are waiting to go through with the project.

Patrick Osgood and Sons have done considerable work for us over the years. We live in an old historic home, beautiful, but with peculiarities and unique vulnerabilities. Patrick has been enormously helpful in advising us on all matters of upkeep and restoration, including brickwork, and extensive painting inside and out. What’s more, his polite and knowledgeable crew does excellent work in a timely fashion.

All in all, Patrick Osgood and Sons is a quality organization, which I recommend without reservation

Patrick and his team had built a new garage and front porch, replaced windows and doors and painted the exterior of our home. They were always here when they said they would be. Everyone on the team was very professional and polite. The price quoted was the price we paid nothing hidden. A job this extensive is not going to be without a few bumps and Patrick always responded and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. I had even challenged him to find me a stain glass window for one of my replacements and while he could not locate one that fit he came up with a solution that I can say I'm even happier than if I got the stain glass I was looking for. i would highly recommend Patrick Osgood and Sons.

I reached out to Osgood for interior paint work and patio door replacement. Paint work included walls, ceiling, and trim spanning across 3 floors and 1300 sqft of house. I have been burnt in the past using home depot/craigs list painting services so I wanted a professional team to do the work this time. The house originally had a French patio door we had Osgood replace with glass slider. We had already moved out so there was no furniture for the painters and door hangers to deal with.

Because we had moved away, scheduling the work was pretty easy. I received photos before, during and after the work was completed. I eventually got eyes on and noticed the exceptional work the Osgood team completed. They repaired all the damage and pre-existing flaws in the plaster. I will say the I'm incredibly happy with their work and you can tell in the finished product that it was done correctly.

The new patio door that shipped wasn't the door we ordered either. It might have been caught sooner if I had been present but these things happen (**cough** Anderson Doors). The Osgood team is going the extra mile to swap the glass door panels with the ones we originally wanted.

Despite some back and forth on the total work scope of the job, the quoted price was the price I paid and there was no surprise fees or costs. I mostly dealt with Patrick Osgood directly. He is a very personable guy, our conversations often digressed to chatting about family and other common hobbies. He's the kinda guy I'd have a beer with.

I would 10/10 recommend reaching out to Osgood for a quote for any remodeling and paintwork you need done correctly. Their quotes are very thorough and you really feel a sense of all the work they are performing. I plan on using Osgood for future remodeling and home construction projects.

All contractors say they do quality work and that they stand behind it. Osgood is one of the few that actually deliver on that. The huge house repair and painting job they did for us was top quality and it came out amazing. A year later when I discovered a few minor blemishes and reported them, Osgood stood behind their quality pledged and fixed the issues immediately. I highly recommend them for future projects.

We had a big project to repair and coat trim, cedar shingles, porch columns, and floor on an old house (Victorian mix 1880s) that was 3 stories high. Two of the rooms are on top of a large porch and these rooms are actually round(turrets) and surrounded by electrical wires. These round rooms had many issues with the trim (which is curved too). After difficulties getting quotes from other contractors, because of wires and round rooms, we met with Patrick Osgood and to our surprise he had no issues with working around wires or the round rooms. We hired Osgood for the project. All the wood work was repaired including the curved trim on the round rooms. Amazing they were able to scape off the multiple layers of paint that had built up over decades and the resulting trim now looks tremendous. The cedar shingles were scrubbed to remove blackness and coated with a natural colored stain blending the mixture of red and white cedar shingles we had. The result is amazing! Patrick listens to your ideas and expectations as well as offering ideas and suggestions. His crews got the work done to complete satisfaction and without any delays in project. We couldn't be happier with their work!

Even though the North Shore offers many talented and capable construction companies, Patrick Osgood & Sons Construction is my first choice. Patrick is very thorough in his explanations of the work he and his team will do, and is very empathetic to his clients needs and concerns. He is always willing to take as much time as you need to explain the process. I would not hesitate to recommend Patrick Osgood & Sons Construction to anyone!

Patrick has been a dream to work with. His crew was always polite and respectful, and his work was amazing! We had our fairly large deck replaced by him a couple years ago, and the whole house painted and windows replaced amongst other smaller jobs. No job too small, very detail oriented and excellent results.

The Osgood team repaired my kitchen ceiling and put up new tiles for my backsplash. Outstanding workmanship. It looks great.

We hired Patrick and his crew because our deck - on the second floor of a condo building - was in disrepair, and with the condo association we decided to move forward and replace the entire deck structure of the building. They did such an excellent job! It looks now so sturdy and well made. Every time the workers came, they were super efficient and fast. Glad we hired them

Patrick is a master of his craft! I know this because quality speed and professionalism when handling delicate situations. He is worth every penny. Our condo fire was devastating and we found Patrick by reserch. One of the best decisions I and my wife have ever made by choosing osgood and son.
