Don’t hire. Delays in project. Says he’ll show up and doesn’t. Project is finished and have some lights and switch that doesn’t work. Called John, “I’m on a big job and can’t be there for 2 weeks.” He’s been paid and job inspected. He also states,” I like to pick up checks and disappear”. The worst part is getting a bill for extras and finding items that were included in original contract. How does this guy still in business.”?

Super professional, great work, even charged me less than quoted after seeing the job was quicker than anticipated.
Excellent, will call him for all my electrical needs.

We have used John a couple of times. He is busy so you want to plan for him in advance. He does what he says he'll do and the quality of work is excellent. Nice guy too. We'll use him again.

Please save yourself the headache, time and money and choose another electrician. I honestly don’t understand how John even has a license at this point. Upon inspection and a second opinion we discovered that John did not complete work we paid him for, several things were not up to code, unsafe and older parts were used so he could pocket more money. The people giving 5 stars here just haven’t discovered the faulty work yet. There are plenty of other great electricians out there.

John was quick to respond and got a small job taken care of same day!!! Price was reasonable and happy with outcome and communication. Also like the electronic payment method option.

I was on a tight timeline for the sale of a rental house. I needed interconnected hardwired smoke detectors, and John was great in scheduling a time to review the project as well as do it on a very tight timeline. We agreed on a deadline, and with an impending snowstorm, John was being cautious in not over promising. To my surprise, he contacted me several days before the deadline to let me know the job was complete. I've had many contractors who have over promised and underdelivered, but John, in my mind, overdelivered!

I was looking for a well qualified local licensed electrician and was referred to Teheen Electrical. I met with John who was extremely detailed and friendly and received a really great quote that fit my budget. John and his team did the work for us that following week. His work was professional, and efficient. I would recommend his company to anyone looking for a great electrician. Will definitely use this company in the future!

I hired John to remove knob and tube wiring from an old house I recently purchased. John provided a competitive quote, showed up as promised and completed the work on time. Work was up to code and passed inspection with no problems. I would hire John again.

I hired John Teheen for a very complex outdoor/underground wiring project. John helped through every phase of the project from design to installation and then some! I called this morning to have a chandelier installed same day and John was able to send one of his electricians in that afternoon. Not only did John do me a huge favor by fitting me in the schedule since it was NYE and they were working a half day, he was very communicative about when his electrician was arriving. The service was fast and professional. I will most definitely be using John in the future.

7-18-3024. I am updating my below review of John Teheen Electrical. Since my below review, John has rewired my upstairs due to a safety hazard and came back to be sure my new appliances were in the best working order. I have never had an issue getting hold of him. He is reliable, honest and I feel I am left in a safety after he leaves.

ORIGINAL REVIEW SEVERAL UEARS AGO: I was referred to John Teheen from my local Facebook page. He was wonderful, he came out to review the work and create a quote which based on immediate need was promptly adjusted. In less than a week the job I had settled on was done. I now have so much light in my old homes kitchen I just love it.

John and his team have been a dream to work with as we’ve addressed a few issues in our house. John took a complicated and layered issue, explained it to me throughly (why, how and why it was important), presented options and got his team on it. As a new home owner, John and his team were the perfect group to help us with a partial power outage, knob and tube remediation, fixture install and recessed lighting install. Can’t recommend enough!

We've had John come to our house for a few installations. We have a line run underground for the new pool we had installed a few years ago. We've also had a new exterior security light swapped out. He'll be coming out again to give us an estimate to replace the wire supplying power from the pole to the house. John and his crew are professional. Great with communication. We hired John to replace the bathroom exhaust fan, install a new circuit, and make some minor changes throughout the house. He was extremely quick to respond to our request for an estimate, answer our questions, and schedule the work. He and his assistant were both professional, efficient, and neat. We highly recommend John for any electrical needs, his fees are competitive and his workmanship excellent.

John and his team are prompt, professional and take the time to explain things to the client. I had him install the connector for a portable generator and he made sure I knew how the connection plug and switch box worked. He also recommended doing a run through the system regularly so I can do it easily when there's a power emergency. Highly recommend!

John is the kind of tradesman we all dream about meeting. He is skilled and professional while also being very helpful and approachable. I couldn't be happier.
Two things are especially notable -
First the project involved trades people from numerous Our project involved the work of numerous trades people. No matter the complications, the need to reschedule work one day or take advantage of a lull in others' work schedules to get something done, John was there.
Second, as with any complex electrical device you try to integrate into your home, there were challenges. Ours had to do with the equipment itself. As we worked to try and figure out how to make it work, John was right there with us. Our problem became his problem until everything worked as it should.
Both of these qualities distinguish John from other electricians. But the most important thing to know, especially when dealing with electricity, is the high quality of the work he does.
If you need an electrician, I couldn't recommend John more highly.

We had worked with John’s team before and they were great. A week ago weather cause our outdoor electrical wires to become loose leading to low and droopy wires to the street (think limbo low). I reached out to John and his team showed up the next day to fix it! The relationship is worth it. Will keep working with John for our future electrical needs for sure!
