Electrical reviews in Salem, Massachusetts

John and his team have completed multiple projects in our home including light installations, rewiring/ moving fixtures, and entertainment center installation. They also installed extensive attic lighting in our bonus room.

The quality of his work is exceptional. He is extremely responsive and completed the projects in a timely manner. We will reach out to John for any future electrical projects in our home and as we fully trust his advice and value his expertise.

Working with John on electrical projects has been an outstanding experience. As a partner, he demonstrates a deep understanding and commitment to excellence. His skills ensure rapid and efficient work and a final result that exceeds expectations. His attention to detail and proactive problem-solving approach are unmatched. I highly recommend John Teheen to anyone looking for a reliable electrical expert and a valuable work partner.

John and his team are fantastic! I reached out to him and he responded promptly to my request for electrical services. He is very knowledgeable and accommodating. Highly recommend! I will certainly be utilizing him again!

I have worked with John for the past 10 years. I don’t trust anyone else with my large scale projects. He’s always on time, pricing is very reasonable, quality work, and he’s a funny guy. Always great conversation. 10/10 company

Another update; had a safety issue I was concerned about, but I’m not an electrician so I wasn’t sure. I called John. He returned my call within 20 mins, we discussed first steps and he scheduled me in immediately. He showed up even quicker than I thought, and he checked and rechecked some things, made some adjustments, and put me at ease. I could tell his goal was to make sure my family and I were safe; for that I am very appreciative. Thank you John!

Update: John and his team came back after I ran into an unforeseen problem. He not only fit me into his busy schedule, but after the first conversation with him, I felt much better about the situation I was in. He promised he would ‘do all he could’. And that, he did. They showed up when they said they would, worked very hard, and got the job done. The cost was very fair. I know who to call for any electric needs.

I recently hired John Teheen for some electrical work in my home and was thoroughly impressed. His attention to detail and quick execution were outstanding. John took the time to explain everything he was doing and made sure all installations were done perfectly. Everything works flawlessly with no issues. If you need reliable and meticulous electrical services, John Teheen is your best bet!

John and his team were professional and courteous. John validated the start time the day before and arrived on-time the day of the job. Clearly John has extensive electrical knowledge as he was able to trouble shoot and fix a 20 year-old issue. He completed all the work as quoted and was flexible enough to tackle a few small asks at a reasonable additional fee. The team worked quickly to successfully complete all tasks. Finally, but very much appreciated, when they left all areas in my home were as clean as when they arrived. I will recommend John and his team to my friends and family. Great experience!

They did a great job installing our hot tub. Very clean and professional. They will now be doing some other work on our house.

Five stars – highly recommend John Teheen!

I hired John to add outlets after installing extra sump pumps in my basement. He and his team ended up adding a sub panel for future expansion and ran separate circuits for each pump.

He also spotted and fixed a bunch of old wiring issues—ungrounded outlets, missing GFCI in the kitchen, even a washer and fridge sharing a circuit on different floors.

Super easy to work with, professional, and fast. I’ll absolutely be calling him again for future projects.

John and his team did an incredible job installing this light fixture in my office! John and his team were so professional and kind. I’d highly recommend! This was a small project with an awesome turn out.

John was extremely professional and helpful for us! He responded very quickly to my inquiry on his website, and came out within a few days for an estimate. The price was very fair, and I was super happy with the work he and his team did in our home. I will absolutely be contacting John and his company for future projects. I like that he is a local but has the amenities of a big chain company!

John was amazing. Not only did he do an excellent job at a fair price, but also he was easy to work with and I felt he was trust worthy . It was truly a pleasure working with him and we will call him for all our future needs.

My wife found Teheen Electric (John) online bc of the great reviews. We were looking for a master electrician to tackle several projects (new outlet for electric fireplace, new outdoor sconces & lamp post, outdoor motion lights, replace all fire alarms and check wiring). From the initial visit for a quote, to the last project getting completed, I can't say enough great things about John (and his son Ryan).

Extremely professional, courteous, friendly, easy to work with, and the outcome of the work they did exceeded our expectations.

If these things matter you, I highly recommend John/Teheen Electric!

John and his team were awesome. They fixed some electrical issues at our condo in Salem. Come to realize, squirrels were chewing our wiring! They were quick, professional and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend them.

Had some electrical upgrade work done to replace old aluminum wiring to bring my older condo up to safety code. The team was professional, reliable, and very communicative. I would use again.

JOLT has come to our house on a number of occasions to fix wiring and fixture problems. They were always courteous and professional in dealing with us. They explained the problem in terms we could understand, and then proposed a solution that was right on point. We like to say they brought light to places that were dark or dim. We were very happy with the work and highly recommend them!

John was very responsive and was able to get here shortly after I contacted him. He arrived on time and was very quickly able to diagnose and correct 2 problems we had identified. He is very knowledgeable and we will definitely be doing work with him in the future, should the need arise. I can't recommend him highly enough.

John Stavaridis and his team at Jolt Electric are superior to any electrician I or my uncle (a general contractor) have vetted. My uncle has been in the home improvement industry for more than 30 years, and he’s never seen a more tidy, efficient and impressive electric contracting business. Everything about our experience with John and Jolt Electric was fantastic. From the initial evaluation and pre-project scope of work through to the job execution and billing, Jolt Electric surpassed our expectations, impressed us with professionalism and overwhelmed us with value. Also worth noting, it says on Jolt’s website -- Please feel free to give us a call. We will actually answer the phone! -- and that couldn’t be more true. From the first time I called John, to the weeks leading up to us actually closing on our home, he answered the phone each time, and was careful and calculated in the counsel he provided. Our project was unique in that we had to remove knob and tube wiring in a mixed wiring home. The Jolt Electric team is well versed in all wiring, and we were extremely happy to learn how well John and his team are in removing knob and tube as a weatherization barrier to utilize the Mass Save program to insulate the home. We are now graduated through the Mass Save/ CLEAResult program thanks to Jolt Electric. Additionally worth noting, we found the lead electrician on our project Keith to be extremely knowledgeable, respectful and responsive. We trusted Keith and his helper to come and go from the home via a lockbox, and Keith would call with any minor snag he hit or question he wanted to clarify with us. Keith is the sort of consummate professional you want working on important work like the electrical in your home! Last, we found the scope of work pricing fair, and were happy to discover that our final bill -- albeit with several project additions (my wife and I couldn’t help ourselves) -- was nearly exact to what the original scope of work price was. I’ve also really grown to appreciate Jolt’s owner John Stavaridis as a person. He’s an honest man, a family guy and truly has been a pleasure to have in our home interacting with us, our dog and our young daughter (nearly 2 years old). You’re lucky you found Jolt Electric. You won’t regret calling John!

Jolt's team worked on two big projects for me - both times they've been exceptional. They explain things clearly and offer options when they can, they work neatly and navigate complexity with ease. Results are outstanding. Strongly recommend!

I have had the pleasure to work on numerous projects with John and his crew. John and his entire crew of guys are professional, courteous and the quality of work is outstanding. I can not speak highly enough about Jolt Electric I feel comfortable referring them to anyone I know.

These guys are the best. Steve arrived at the stroke of the scheduled time. He was solicitous about what we wanted and calculated the exact needs for current by reading the information about the 3 new appliances. He used a level so the wall switch plate would look neat and even cleaned up after himself. The boss John came out with his truck to bring us a part we needed so there was no delay in the job. I couldn't recommend them more highly.
