Constraction reviews in Springfield, Massachusetts

We are truly pleased with our finished basement. Alex was professional from the beginning of the project to the very last day. He was communicative and responsive; the team was polite and thorough. We had no concerns throughout this home improvement project and would highly recommend!

I found Basement Finish Pros by accident but I am so pleased I did. General contractor Alex Pascal promised me quality workmanship at the budget I could afford and that is exactly what he provided. Alex and his crew are talented, gifted professionals. They took their work seriously while being dedicated and committed and you see that in their work. Every crew member is joyful, knowledgeable and showed great care for my family's comfort and enjoyment. They provided punctual, clean, almost silent daily service effortlessly, no complications at all! The price I was quoted is the price I paid, but I feel like they gave me so much more. Basement Finish Pros takes pride in the services they provide, it was refreshing and comforting feeling I was in such capable hands. I can hardly wait for them to start on my next renovation. Job well done Basement Finish Pros. I wish more companies provided such integrity.

Basement Finish Pros are phenomonal, very friendly, high quality, and very professionally done, the results were awesome.
Really thank you from my bottom of heart to Igor and Peter.

We had an excellent experience working with Basement Finish Pros to finish approximately 1300 sq ft of our basement. The layout included a living room, office, gym area, two bedrooms, and a full bath. For us, Basement Finish Pros stood out from the competition right from the start. They were the only company we contacted that provided a detailed, well thought out, and organized quote, which demonstrated the characteristics needed to smoothly execute a large project. During the quoting process, Alex visited our home to see the space we were looking to finish and talk us through the process of finishing the basement and we found him to be someone we would enjoy working with on the project as he was very personable and knowledgeable. Alex was an enormous help supporting us in finalizing the layout with helpful suggestions and showing us different options using his 3D software package showing the complete floor plan. One quality that always stood out to us was Alex's patience as we went back and forth many times to get the floor plan and design just the way we wanted it. This patience and support continued after the job started as we were interested in a number of changes/upgrades as the basement started taking shape (for example, tiled shower and custom wood columns over posts were added to the job); I understand these types of additions to a project can be disruptive, but Alex always made us feel like creating the basement that we would be most happy with was always priority one.

After finalizing the layout and scope of the project with Alex, a team led by Igor came to bring the vision to life. We were extremely satisfied with the quality of work and found Igor to be every bit of a pleasure to work with as Alex. Igor carried on the same approach Alex displayed by being open to our input at all stages to make the perfect basement space for our family. One example of this is when I noticed the framing around a portion of pipe leading to our septic tank that hung lower than the rest of line could be raised about two inches to give more clearance in case someone a bit taller than myself was walking underneath. When I brought this observation to Igor, I could not be more impressed with his response, rather than raising the frame around the pipe the drywall would be secured to a little bit as I suggested, Igor went ahead and had the pipe rerouted to bring the lower hanging portion completely out of the walking path, which again, showed me this company was interested in making the basement the best living space they could for my family rather than just making it just good enough to complete the job.

In the end, we were thrilled what Basement Finish Pros did in our basement. The finishing of the basement comes close to doubling the livable space in our home, we are already enjoying the new space and know it will be more and more valuable to us as our young kids grow. Very rarely do I write reviews, but I cannot think of a time a company I worked with was more deserving of having their good work shared for others to see, thank you Basement Finish Pros!

If you are looking to finish your basement then I highly recommend Basement Finish Pros. Finishing a basement can be one of the biggest investments you put into your home and the reason why it can be a stressful process. It’s important to find a Company that is reliable, are masters of their craft, listens to their customers, and stands by their work. Basement Finish Pros, a family-owned business, checks all the boxes. We got quotes from multiple contractors and decided to go with Igor and his team this past summer. It was a large project that spanned a few months and we couldn’t be happier with the result. Our basement has been transformed into a beautiful living space the whole family can enjoy. Igor stood out because of his excellent communication, he was responsive to any questions and kept me updated on status and next steps or change in plans. He was always thinking and offering different options on layouts that I hadn’t thought about and recommended creative solutions as the project progressed. More importantly he listened carefully to what was on my mind and very flexible when we needed to tweak the plans or ask for changes. He offered his honest opinions when I was undecided about certain choices which I appreciated because of his experience and background in doing these projects. There was never any pressure as the final decision was mine. The other call out is he keeps the work space in good order and organized and expects the same from any of the subcontractors that are on the job, which to me is a good indication of someone who takes pride in their work.
Long time homeowners know that finding the right contractor for a home project can bring a lot of uncertainty and anxiety on how things will turn out. If you’ve decided to finish your basement and are scoping out various contractors then I would recommend checking out Igor and his team at Basement Finish Pros.

Alex and the Basement Finish Pros team did an amazing job on our basement project. The quote was reasonable and detailed, and they helped us stay on budget. Alex was very clear about different options throughout the project, and his communication was consistently excellent. The crew was extremely courteous and hard working. Without hesitation, I would recommend them to anyone with a basement remodeling/finishing project.

Oh behalf of my Mom who had her basement done by Basement Finish Pro LLC- “ from the get go, BASEMENT FINISH PROS were the easiest, most professional, and competent folks we have worked with. Our basement is outstanding. If only they could cook”. We recommend them without reservation.”

Review:

I couldn’t be happier with the way my basement turned out! From start to finish, the entire process was seamless, and I truly felt like I was creating the basement I’ve always wanted. The team worked closely with me to model out the space, and seeing it come to life exceeded my expectations. The craftsmanship was outstanding, with attention to detail in every aspect of the build. The quality of work speaks for itself, and it’s clear they take pride in what they do. If you’re looking for a company to transform your basement into something incredible, I highly recommend them. You won’t be disappointed!

We used Basement Finish Pros this summer for our unfinished basement and can't say enough about how much we loved working with them. Alex and his team are very professional, kind, patient and incredibly hardworking. Alex took his time to work with us as we thought through what we wanted for our space. Throughout the entirety of our work together, from our initial outreach and consultation to changing our minds and asking questions and altering things throughout the process, Alex made it clear that he wanted us to be happy and comfortable with the final product. He worked with us to find ways we could create our dream space within our budget, and we couldn't be happier. The final product is beautiful, and we love the space even more than we could've imagined. We can't say enough about the quality of their work. They are exceptional contractors and fantastic people. Would 100% recommend Basement Finish Pros over and over again!

We couldn't be happier with the work done by Basement Finish Pros. The quality and craftsmanship is very high quality and the new basement came out great. We had a number of customizations which we are thrilled with - notably a large built-in entertainment system and a play-house for the kids. Our basement had some challenging nuances that they had no problem navigating around. Notably with the plumbing and HVAC. The crew was flexible with re-work and change orders as well - we were able to alter things or add on various items as we went (extra insulation, upgraded flooring, etc). Alex was very informative and responsive throughout the project. The estimate/invoice/billing process was very transparent and we appreciated that. No surprises, no hidden costs. We highly recommend using Basement Finish Pros if you are looking to finish your basement.

The entire process from start to finish was just what I like. Communication (thanks Alex) via text messaging was virtually instant. The workers were prompt, efficient, and did an excellent job cleaning up. End result was very satisfactory.

I am very pleased to strongly recommend BASEMENT FINISH PROS LLC
for any basement work that you require. Alex Pascal spent time working on our written detailed proposal so that nothing that we needed was left to chance. He provided a detailed description of each task, as well as materials and labor costs. I did get multiple quotes for this job, but I found they were willing to tackle the many challenges that others would not touch, and the costs for their services were very competitive.
The Connecticut workers were supervised on-site by Igor Cojocarn who impressed me with his strong work ethic, very professional skills, and a dedication to quality work. Igor took pride in his work. It is hard to believe what a wonderful difference Basement Finish Pros made in my new basement living space for my wife and I, and now the visits from my children and grandchildren are so much more fun.

Igor and his father did an excellent job installing an egress window for our basement. They were always on time, communicated very well, did everything they said they were going to do and more importantly I found them to be good people. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

I got 3 quotes one from a local company, one from a huge national company and one from Basement Finish Pros. The local one was a quick walk through and was the lowest in price and had very little details on the job with the offer. The national company spent 6 hours here and needed the decision that night. They had good details and had great quality no doubt, but the price was ridiculous even after negotiations. BFP quote was very detailed, down to all the materials and tasks all separated, they gave a computer picture of the job as well. They were closer in the price of the local guy, a little more but I knew the details of what they were going to do.
The Sales/manager is very straight forward and honest he knows all the details on codes and quality of the approach. The team is made up of very professional and talented Technicians. They made many recommendations that made the difference in the finished product. They are very diligent and always working and never did anything different without seeking my approval. The plumber, and Electrician and his Technician were amazing (No, I am not kidding). On time and very quick. The Electrician did things that I did not ask for, like switches on the wall for sockets for lamps that will be great in the future, the Technician actually offered to pick up better LED lamps on his way to the job. The plumber came in on a Saturday to do an added job upstairs on a last minute request, and did it with high quality.
I am sorry about the long review, but I would have to say you need to get a quote from this group on top of any others you are getting, they will not disappoint you. The pics attached show the finished job, my cellar before was very, very ugly now they did an amazing job in just 2 months.

Alex and his team have restored my hope in contractors. Alex is a great project manager who updated me on a regular basis and came over, unprompted, any time clarification was needed. He and his entire team were professional and delivered a quality craftsmanship product. We are very happy with our finished basement!

Alex and his team did a wonderful job on our basement. Professional and courteous. I couldn’t be happier with the results.

WOW! We still can’t believe how beautiful and functional our basement turned out.

Hiring contractors is something we cringe about having to do…just like going to the RMV nobody wants to, nobody!

The experience we had with Basement Finish Pro’s was AMAZING!

From start to finish it has been a pleasure working with the complete crew. The team were all courteous and helpful. The responsiveness and constant communication was beyond what we have ever experienced with hiring a contractor. Thank you for that Igor & Alex.

Our scary basement is now gorgeous! We highly recommend Alex, Igor, Peter, Nick, Mark (electrician), Gregorie (plumber), and all the others.

Some Details: Alex’s was the only contractor we met with that showed us what the space could possibly look like...a design rendering was above and beyond and it is what sold the job. Also provided a very detailed description of materials/costs, and he went over all the tasks that were needed to ensure moisture wouldn’t be an issue. Price: They were not the least expensive nor the most, they were in between and we felt definitely a fair price. We did add a few things, and in the end the extra cost was still very fair.

Our 1957 home had MANY challenges, and there wasn’t anything that Igor (the project manager) couldn’t do to come up with solutions for each and everyone. Basement remodeling comes with special challenges, and they possess an extreme amount of knowledge in ‘basement’ remodeling, setting them apart from other contractors.

Also not to go unmentioned was the care/details, and that they really wanted to make sure we were happy with everything was unmatched.

What they did: CAD rendering, demolition, treating for mold, sealing floors/walls to protect from moisture, Framing (special metal type to ensure drywall did not touch the cement walls) Drywall (special for basements), Leveling a very uneven floor, and the soup to nuts: trim/painting/flooring etc all. We love our contemporary stairway banister, they used cabling, so sleek and everyone says how cool it is!

Lastly their electrician and plumber had exactly the same work ethic and communication mindset. Thank you Mark and Gregorie!

Photos provided for you to see what they can do for you!

We could not have asked for a better and professional team. Alex and his team were easy to work with, flexible, and extremely professional. Our basement was an old dungeon and they were able to turn it into a beautiful living space. Communication was reliable and quick. Alex adjusted to unpredicted challenges and made sure everything was done to our fullest satisfaction. We have done extensive work on our house in the last few years, and this is by far the best team we have worked with. Alex, his father and the entire team were very nice, pleasant and easy to work with. On top of it, their craftsmanship is excellent. If you are looking for a good and reliable team, they are it. The before and after pictures should speak for themselves. Thank you Alex, Stefan, Dorian and Victor for the hard work.

Basement Pros were fantastic to work with! At first, we were hesitant because of the quoted price, but after getting a second, higher quote, we adjusted our expectations—and we're so glad we did. Alex and his team are true experts, paying great attention to detail while still working efficiently and quickly. They always aimed for the best possible outcome and adapted as needed once the demo revealed what was possible (our basement was already finished but very old). It was great to work with people who specialized in basements - because they really seemed super practiced in the things we ran into. Nothing was an issue. We can’t say enough good things about the team and the process. This is some of the best money we have spent on the house, and would recommend them to anyone.

Alex, his team and the electrician are professional and hard dedicated workers. Everything came out great! I am VERY pleased with the final results how they finished my living area/basement. I also had the existing half bathroom touched up. It was repainted, new flooring added and a new bathroom vanity installed. BFP has great attention to detail which shows they have great craftsmanship skills and provide quality work.

The electrician Mark was also fantastic to work with. He asked me during the process where I wanted light fixtures, electrical outlets AND he even accommodated the wall outlet where I planned to mount the TV on the wall (very thoughtful).

Stefan was easy to work with and included me through the process. He wanted my input on how I wanted the flooring tile to lay (both bathroom and basement), where to put the bathroom fixtures and confirm the paint color (since I was initial indecisive).

Even through the hot temperatures the crew worked diligently but safely. I was able to accommodate their schedule to resume work when it got a little cooler when the sun went down. This shows their dedication and hard work ethic.

Alex had great communication skills. I was provided an update through the entire process. He was very response to any of my questions and inquiries.

I should have hired Basement Finish Pros 20 years ago when I initial built my home. I am glad I waited because the final results were worth it. I highly recommend Basement Finish Pros!
