Constraction reviews in Springfield, Massachusetts

Expect to be treated disrespectfully unless you’re a man. When Brian’s team pulled up and almost took down our electrical line with their truck, I stepped outside to kindly warn the driver. He sarcastically and rudely responded, “they’re still on your house, aren’t they?” I confronted the worker about this and of course he did not apologize. When I then confronted the owner (Brian) about this and requested an apology from his worker, he defended him, accused me of being difficult, and told his crew to pack up and leave. He abandoned a 40K job because he refused to hold his staff accountable for disrespect. Avoid at all costs unless you're comfortable welcoming shady and disrespectful people into your home.

Watched one of there drivers today just Road rage behind the wheel. After failing to pull to the side of the road for emergency services. The driver pushed the police car well into the oncoming lane as he was more concerned about giving the middle finger to the driver in front of him. Extremely unprofessional and after reading some reviews it sounds like this company has some serious egos on staff.

I was initially satisfied with the work, but response to problems that emerged later has been very poor.

On budget, easy to work with, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend Alex and his team.

Basement finish pros did a great job transferring my basement into a beautiful new room.. They work hard and their attention to detail is extraordinary..They truly are master carpenters.. I highly recommend them..

Let me start by saying they did finish the job. They were inconsistent with the days and times they arrived. Didn't show up on day with no notice. Waited and emailed for two hours before I was told they were skipping a day and would be there tomorrow. The biggest flaw for me was after the job was done I had a couple issues and emailed them about it. They said they would address them but never showed up and then just stopped responding to my emails.

Thank you Alex and Stefan for finishing our basement. It came out great. We really enjoy the space. You guys were awesome throughout the building process. I was most impressed with the level of detail and dedication. Keep up the good work.

Our basement came up so nice! With a busy schedule and always on the go it was hard for me to get to the gym so they turned half of our basement into a gym with a play room for our girls. We are very happy, especially our girls since they finally get a bigger play room, already planning a sleep over party! Thank you Basement Finish Pros.

Very pleased with Basement Finish Pros. There were clear communication from the beginning to the end of the project. Basement bedroom remodel looks beautiful! I do highly recommend Alex, Igor and everyone on the team. Thank you very much!

Completely finished basement, including adding a full bath. Was great to work with! Organized, professional, took the time to listen to what we wanted and were flexible as we adjusted our design at the beginning. Conscientious and hard working. Very happy we worked with them! They were very transparent about costs and timing of the project.

Alex arrived and assessed our basement condition. A few days later, a wonderful rendering was completed of what our basement would look like. The completed project far exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend Basement Finish Pros to friends and family.

A section of the completed project is attached.

Alex, Igor and team were a genuine pleasure to work alongside. Everything was decided up front and made clear before work began. When something previously unknown surfaced we all worked together in the most fair way possible. I feel fortunate to have been able to work with this team to help my home, and we love our basement.

Basement Finish Pros consistently met & often exceeded my expectations from the first job estimate meeting through the final walk through.
My basement project was initiated during the height of Covid 19, amidst restrictions and resulting delays of supply deliveries, delays from my town's building inspectors due to Covid restrictions, etc. that we all experienced during this time.
Basement Finish Pros kept me well informed every step of the way... and that is one of the things I am most pleased about with their service... I always knew what was happening with the project... without having to follow-up and ask.
As often happens with older home renovations... unexpected challenges occurred... that BFP dealt with and still managed to come within the expected budget.
Our new basement space is everything we hoped it would be!
My next home project, although a bit down the road...is to tackle a renovation of the 1st floor kitchen... I wish BFP did more than basements... I would hire them for the project in a heartbeat.

Basement Finish Pros worked so well with us to come up with a plan that worked for our needs. Stefan does quality work, and Alex was always responsive and helpful in figuring out any issues that came up.
Very good company to work with.

This is a very professional company that did very good work refinishing our basement. They were reliable from start to finish and were very hard working. During the whole process they did their best to take care of any issues or problems that arose. They kept in communication with us throughout the process. I am very satisfied with the workmanship they did...which was well done with attention to detail. I would gladly hire them again for another project, and/or recommend them to others.

Alex and his team did an amazing job creating the perfect playroom for our kids in our basement. The digital design drafts they provided in their proposal and their use of high quality basement specific building materials really set them apart. The work was completed on time and on budget.

Basement Finish Pros LLC did a quality job on finishing our basement. They had helpful ideas that we had not thought of. When we pointed out where it could be improved, they were quick to respond and fix it.
Timing is a challenge for any home repair business. You need to wait for the sub-contractors and the Town’s Building Inspector to set appointments. In other words, you need to be flexible with the timing of the project. But you will be very pleased when it’s all done.

Used Basement Finish Pros to complete the unfinished side of our basement. Alex and his team did great work, always responsive and helpful. The space is now used as a family / music room and has been a great addition to our home. Would definitely recommend for your basement finishing needs!

Our basement office was flooded last year when our sump pump failed. Alex from Basement Finish Pros consulted with us to remodel our office space and downstairs bathroom. His estimate was very detailed, and he was very accommodating to our budget. There were no surprises, and he kept us up to date on the next steps throughout the project. We are very pleased with the results, and I would recommend them.

We had a major basement reconstruction plan to add a large movie area, video game space, bar, half kitchen and bath. We also needed our staircase and entrance from the main floor to be remodeled. We spoke with several local general contractors, 1 national basement company and basement finish pros. It was clear a basement specific business was far more knowledgeable in basement remodeling and had design programs to make decisions easy. The national company came in very high priced and I never felt the salesperson would be invested. Alex from basement finished pros was invested on day 1 and through completion of the project. He knew exactly what needed to be done in terms of insulation, sound, walls and floors. He also had ideas from the vast number of other basement projects he designed. His primary foreman on site, Stephan, is an excellent carpenter and had tremendous attention to detail. They cared how the project came out. Our basement project is beyond expectations and would highly recommend Alex and Basement Finish Pros.

The team was great. Craftsmanship was excellent. Good communication throughout the job. I’m thrilled with my new space. I highly recommend Basement Finish Pros.
