From start to finish, my experience with DMH Electric was nothing short of excellent. I had the pleasure of working with Patrick and Tyler, who installed my 100amp Ford Pro station in record time. Despite the complexity of the task, they managed to complete it within a single day, demonstrating their unmatched efficiency and expert knowledge.

Their professionalism was evident in the meticulous manner in which they worked. They kept my space incredibly clean, showing immense respect for my property, which is something that sets them apart. The DMH team was very professional and courteous. They installed our EV charger in our garage without any issue plus resolved some other problems with our home's electrical circuits during the same appointment. Had a good experience with the two electricians who came out in October and did around $2800 worth of work on my home. They were polite and professional. However, when I met with Tyler he mentioned they would handle the permits which they included as a $250 item on my invoice that I paid . It’s now been 2 months since the work and they will not return my calls about closing out the permits. No one will confirm if permits were pulled. I have called 3 times and cannot get an answer. UPDATE: DMH called and resolved the issue.

Aaron and Trevor were great! They let me know when they were arriving, showed up right on time, completed the job in a timely manner and left the site totally clean. Very pleased with my experience.

My strong recommendation is that you do not use DMH Electrical, due to their opaque billing practices, poor communication, mixed quality, and general lack of professionalism and helpfulness.

We were forced to use them, via our contractor Platt Builders, and for two years on a major, multidimensional renovation project, we were frustrated and we believe unfairly charged by them. (We asked repeatedly that they switch to another electrician subcontractor, but Platt wouldn’t.)

The most significant issue was communication that was so poor, we often wondered if they were deliberately using that as an excuse to take us for a ride, financially. For example, we would ask that an existing light fixture be not used, but in closing it off, they would go down an expensive rabbit hole without our consent, and pursue it for sometimes days at a time, without running it by us beforehand. (This was in the course of many other subcontractors doing work simultaneously, so it was difficult to keep track of who was doing what.) If we knew that it would cost thousands of dollars to not use a light switch, we certainly wouldn’t have bothered having it shut off, but they never gave us estimates for any of the discussed work; they just did it. They would frequently get confused by lighting/switch diagrams, and so we still have quite a few switches that actually don't do anything, as well as several covers over empty boxes that weren't actually used.

Their instincts sucked, and whenever they were free to make any decision, they would do it in a way that was antithetical to what we wanted, or what I imagine anyone who cares about how their house looks would want. They would install switches in ugly places, use junk parts (switch plates were warped or the wrong color, defective circuit breakers, service panels that were unnecessarily large) that then had to be redone, or we were ultimately forced to just live with, and they constantly made messes without cleaning up after themselves, from wire trimmings and product packaging to the remains of their lunch.

They couldn’t install a light fixture without ruining the surrounding paint job with their fingerprints, and blasted horrendous loud music with atrocious, offensively hateful lyrics. The electricians often complained within our hearing range about how much they despised their boss (which we sort of appreciated, actually), and the assistant usually seemed to be doing nothing at all. Other subcontractors working on-site simultaneously complained about various dimensions of working with them.

The last straw was that we had an emergency with a generator they installed, not actually functioning during a power failure. The DMH tech confessed that didn’t know how to fix it, or much about generators generally, and he finally gave up and left it in an unsafe condition. We had another company later come out to resolve the issue. That guy said that it wasn’t installed (by DMH) up to code and that it was left in a dangerous state, with spark plugs dangling in the vicinity of the gas lines. For DMH’s part, we were forced to pay $700, for nothing. That was the last straw, hence this review.

I’m generously giving them two stars, as they are occasionally capable of doing basic, to-code work, so it is theoretically possible for an electrician to be worse than them. But, yes, you could talk me down to rating them one star. They just don’t care about doing good work.

Aaron and Trevor performed an amazing job. They were able to make a very difficult job run smoothly and efficiently. All of my residents spoke highly about their interaction with them. Always professional and respectful. Smart and knowledgeable, solving problems with great care and rapid resolutions. I would strongly recommend DMH Electric Inc in particular Trevor and Aaron. I had a good experience regarding installation of EV charger with D. M. H. Electric. Jordan, my key contact was very helpful and thorough. The technician team of Patric and Tyler were punctual and efficient. Installation took under 2 hours and was a breeze.

I just had the privilege of working with DMH on the installation of a new Fire Alarm system and highly recommend them as a professional , courteous, and timely company that delivers what they promise!

If you're in the business of remodeling, these guys will get the job done. I've been using DMH for the past 3 years on all sorts of projects, highly recommend. They're knowledgeable and their technical experience really shows when on site.

In the service business we have to act quickly to resolve problems for our customers. That often involves partnering with a trusted contractor to get the job done. DMH Electric Inc. has always been there for us, ready to to respond and go the distance to reach our common goals. A job well done and a happy customer in the end.

DMH has got to be one of the best companies I’ve ever worked with. Back in 2009 they did an excellent job adding a manual transfer switch to support plugging in a standalone gas powered generator for my house.

Most recently, this month I asked them to install a standby Generac generator. The work was just completed today, March 4, 2025.

Summary:

1. Communication with DMH (Mike Godard) is exceptional.
2. Once I approved the project material was ordered.
3. Upon delivery of the 10kw generator I asked if it were possible to keep the manual transfer switch. Mike gave it some thought and said Yes. I now have backup for my backup!
4. Installation was completed early afternoon on the first day.
5. Next I had to wait for my propane guy to do his side. Mike just told me to call him once the tanks were in place.
6. The propane guy dragged his feet a bit. But finally installed the plumbing to the generator. Now we had to wait almost another week to have the plumbing inspected.
7. The propane tanks were delivered with enough fuel to turn on and test the generator. Mike stopped by once I called him and I got to see the generac in action.

Lots of steps summarized. Working with DMH (Mike) was a pleasure. I wish all the contractors I worked with were half as good!

The only downside is that the guys going back and forth from outside tracked in some dirt. The guys doing the work otherwise worked well together and completed the job well.

I’ve now have good addition to my home. I’m sure it will value. I highly recommend DMH Electric!

We had an excellent experience with this electrical company. They installed a new GFCI outlet for us and fixed a noisy bathroom fan that had been driving us crazy. Everything was done quickly, cleanly, and correctly. The technicians explained what they were doing, tested everything, and made sure it all worked perfectly before leaving. Highly recommend!

I was steered to DMH when my beloved contractor retired.

I used DMH twice in January: the first time (planned) to replace thermostats and install a new outlet, the second time (not an emergency, but can you come soon?) to repair an electric baseboard outage.

Both visits went very smoothly. Although the baseboard outage was not an emergency, DMH scheduled a repair and then put me on a cancellation list. When another customer canceled, they called and did the repair early.

I am extremely happy with their front office and with the crews that came to do the work.

I have found myself a new electrician. Thank you DMH!

We needed to have hardwired smoke detectors installed in our home. They got someone out to give us a quote within a day of submitting an online form, and had someone out to install everything that same week. The work was done quickly and done well, and for a very reasonable price. The team members that did the quote and the installation were both very professional and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend to anyone who needs work done in the area!
