Great design, great build for a project completed in late 2019. By early 2020 we noticed the centerpiece birch (well over $1k) didn’t make it through the winter. After more than a dozen attempts, Dragonfly has been unresponsive to replace. It’s too bad, the job was almost great.

Dragonfly is such an outstanding business to work with. They worked closely with us to design and construct our gorgeous sandstone patio. Project Manager John Cummings and Foreman Gabe are masters of their trade. It shows in the results. We couldn't be more pleased.

My husband and I had a home built and we knew that the yard was going to need some attention. We reached out to Dragonfly Design & Build, as they are local to us. We were interested in having them come up with a plan for a backyard patio, firepit area, front walkway and the landscaping & lighting. Other than the lawn, they had a blank slate to work with. I am very visual, so seeing the 3D renderings, of their ideas, was extremely helpful. Our project started in May, 2022 and was completed in June, 2022. Tim Nohrden (Owner), John Cummings (Director of Operations), Gabe (Director of Construction) and all the other workers involved were an absolute pleasure to work with!! Absolutly amazing, professional, meticulous work completed by a pleasant and respectful crew! My daughter hired Dragonfly for a small project on a newly purchaced home where I reside. She is a fussy, demanding person who knows exactly what she wants and is involved every inch of the way. We were both extremely imperssed with Dragonfly Design and Build. I know for certain that she will be using them on one of her many projects in the future!

Tim created a fantastic design which included all of the elements that we wanted (patio, hot tub, gardens, lighting, gas firepit, decking). They installed early to meet our timetable with the spa company. Our backyard is now a peaceful oasis. We could not be happier with Tim and his team. Highly recommend.

Tim responded promptly to my questions. He and his team were punctual, courteous, and detail conscious. They coordinated well with the paving company on my complex project, which included drainage improvements, a new front walk and granite step, and new grass in the disturbed areas.

My wife and I have been wanting a patio for years. But this was especially difficult because 1) we didn’t know exactly what we wanted, and 2) every other contractor we talked to didn’t give us the confidence in a design without committing significant money up front first.

Then came along Dragonfly. Tim, the owner, set up our initial appointment to take a look at our yard. We described all the features that we wanted and he listened attentively to everything we had to say. Not long thereafter, he came back to our house to present a couple of designs that his team came up with. He connected his laptop to our TV and had a 3D CAD drawing showing his proposed designs. We were blown away. The amount of detail of our house, yard, playground, and landscape was amazing. We could see EXACTLY what our new patio would look like. This was all done without any up-front obligation! Needless to say, my wife and I fell in love with the design and were now comfortable in building our patio!

Work started in the hot summer of August 2018 (amid the heat-wave). Dragonfly pulled all the necessary permits, tore down our raggedy porch, and cleared the area really fast. They properly graded the land and started with the hardscape. The team (led by Gabe) was great, hard-working, and answered all the questions that we had. Before we knew it, our patio was done with beautiful shrubbery to go along with it. As with any big job, there will be a few items that will need to be followed up on with a punch-list and Tim followed through as promised. As my kids get older, we do eventually plan on tearing down our playground in favor of an inground pool. We would very much hope that Tim and Dragonfly will be there to help expand our patio.

Friends were using this company and were happy with them, so we decided to get an estimate for a backyard patio area around our koi pond.
So glad we did! So helpful with the design- in fact, it was exactly what we wanted right out of the gate. Very professional and courteous, reliable and we had a lot of questions that they always responded to in a timely fashion. Everyone was great from the owner to the job manager to the crew.
We now have a beautifully landscaped sitting area to enjoy our pond.

Tim and team completely transformed our backyard over the course of a 3-4 month project in the summer of 2020. Tim's design vision is exceptional and he did a great job of rapidly visualizing with his animation what our backyard could become. John Cummings was great to work with too - he is very responsive, proactive in communication and engaged us well on key design decisions we needed to make. Gabe is the real star though - his work ethic is exceptional and his ability to marshall the team on the ground and keep them engaged and focused was great. There were some really hot days that summer but the team was always there working through it all.
Tim and John also did an excellent job of coordinating schedules with the pool contractor to make sure things were moving. And they did this all at the height of the Covid pandemic back in the summer of 2020.

I can't recommend Dragonfly highly enough! Our patio turned out amazing and exceeded our expectations by far. This company and every person that we interacted with was great and incredibly professional, the project was on time and on budget, and the quality of work done was exceptional.

Five stars is not enough ! November 12 was the completion date of three “small” projects at a newly acquired property to me. The Dragonfly team was amazing from the very start, truly a breath of fresh air. John was quick to respond to the initial inquiry. Within a week I had a quote and several stone samples to choose from. Once the job was started Gabe and his team continued to impress. They are all great with communication, often checking in at different points of the project. The quality of work and attention to detail was outstanding. True craftsman! Dragonfly designed and built a custom pavilion with wood burning fireplace. Their design & suggestions led to a beautiful result. I can't help but give Tim and his crew at Dragonfly the highest marks for the work they took on for us last summer.

After a meticulous survey our property, they presented us with a video rendering of their vision for the project reflecting all of our wishes along with their own insightful design recommendations. The proposal they gave us was extremely thorough, fairly priced, and in the end exactly what we ultimately paid.

In just four weeks they transformed our property, introducing beautifully designed hardscaping -- walkways, a patio, and stone stairways -- accented with tasteful uplighting, wonderful trees, shrubs, and flowers, all surrounded by nearly a half acre of sod and irrigation. A year later, we're loving it all.

The quality of their work is outstanding as has been their responsiveness in following up on minor adjustments over the past year -- all at no additional expense to us.
