I've had good-to-great experiences with Merry Maids and have been using them for monthly home cleanings for 8+ years (although there were some skipped cleanings during early stages of pandemic).

Quality of cleanings will vary depending on individual team (and my teams tend to change often), but I've never had a bad cleaning. I've always been home to let them in and I've sometimes stayed in the apartment while they cleaned. Note: I think my teams were based out of Woburn, MA originally, but during pandemic, that office closed and my service got moved to Stoneham/North Shore group. Also: pre-pandemic, they had supervisor who visited or checked in on cleanings semi-regularly, not sure why that no longer occurs.

For monthly cleanings, it is a basic cleaning, with: dusting all easily available surfaces, wiping all counters, stovetop, sinks & mirrors, cleaning toilet & tub/shower, vacuuming rugs, mopping floors. They do not move furniture, clean under couch nor interior of fridge (I believe deep cleaning is a separate charge). Team is 2-3 people and it usually takes them about 1 hr to clean my 740 sq foot apartment. They have "notes" on my apartment (e.g., don't use bleach) and all teams follow them. Price is reasonable and hasn't gone up much in 8+ years.

Occasionally, there are minor cleaning misses, such as edge behind the bathroom sink, or beneath shampoo bottles in bathtub, but for the most part, it is thorough and well-cleaned as expected.

My one experience of "fridge cleaning" for an extra charge was not great: they cleaned the main shelves OK, but didn't touch the door shelves nor the freezer. Their basic fridge service also does not include moving contents, which I had to pay extra for.

My non-cleaning pet peeves are that Merry Maids reminders do not include the 2 hr arrival time slot and the team doesn't always come within their time slot (I've experienced them arriving 40 minutes before the time slot start and 10 minutes after the time slot end, although they've consistently arrived within their 2 hr time slot for past 1-2 years).

Everything looked and smelled great awesome job the time of arrival was later than I expected when I had to line poeple in the household but everything was great !!

This was the second time I have used Merry Maids, the Stoneham location. The 3 people that came to my house (Marianna, Gabriel and Marlene) were professional and did a great job. They were here approximately 3 hours and did everything scheduled to be done. I would highly recommend that team and the Merry Maids of Stoneham.

Ana and her team were extremely professional and very nice. My home was a mess and slightly embarrassing. They came, they cleaned, they conquered the mess. I can’t wait to see them again next month!

This company was supposed to do a cleaning of my home that I’m prepping for sale. While cleaning my bathroom, they must have used an excessive amount of water as I found a stream
Of water in my basement. They didn’t clean it up and left the property. I called their management company to report my concern. The girls came back to clean the mess, but the company claimed no responsibility for the issue.

To say that Mirquella is amazing is really an understatement. She always does a clean, thorough and great job at my mother’s house in such a short amount of time. Well it started out a little rough. But in the end this company came through for me, my move in clean left my house looking beautiful. I thank Olga and her 2 girls for all their hard work in this crazy heat. You girls did an amazing job. My husband and I both thank you. We highly recommend this company.

We've used Merry Maids for several years now, and they are so easy to work with. The team is accommodating and flexible, and everyone is so nice! The cleanings are always top notch, and the team is great about focusing on specific areas upon request. Merry Maids is also completely trustworthy and so honest. A shampoo bottle broke in my shower during a cleaning, and - after looking up the price - a representative called me to apologize and offer a cleaning credit, which was totally above and beyond!
